Being Dumped by My EX, I Marriied His Older Brother-Chapter 103: What a Husband and Wife Should Do
"Justin Kane, I saw everything."
Nina Thorne clenched her fists, then relaxed them. "A woman named April Graham came looking for you tonight, didn’t she?"
Justin Kane’s expression froze.
’So she saw. No wonder she’s been acting this way since we got back.’
His thin lips parted as he prepared to explain.
But Nina had already looked away, her expression serene and calm. "The truth is, we only got married in a fit of pique. Since our marriage hasn’t been made public yet, why don’t we get a divorce?"
After saying this, Nina clenched her palms.
’I thought I was prepared for this, but my heart still aches. This feels awful.’
Justin Kane’s dark eyes were locked on her, but he remained silent.
Waiting for his reply felt like awaiting a sentence.
Before he could answer, Nina already wanted to flee.
She started to walk away, but a large hand suddenly grabbed her wrist. As the warmth spread through her, Justin Kane’s low, raspy voice sounded.
"We can get a divorce. But give me a reason."
Nina snapped her head up to look at him, her delicate brows furrowed. "Isn’t April Graham reason enough?"
Nina’s chest heaved slightly. "She’s the one you love. Now that she’s come back to the country just for you, isn’t it better for me to step aside?"
As she spoke, Justin Kane watched her with a smile in his eyes, a doting look in their depths.
Nina was baffled. "What are you smiling at? Do you find me ridiculous?"
"See? Isn’t it much better to just say what’s on your mind?"
Justin Kane’s thin lips curved in a pleased smile. "This is much better than two months ago. Back then, you would just bottle everything up and deal with it yourself. Not bad. You’ve made progress."
"It seems being my Mrs. Kane has helped you."
She hadn’t thought about it, but now that he mentioned it, Nina felt it too.
With Cole Kane, she had gotten used to hiding her feelings, which eventually made her more and more withdrawn.
’But now isn’t the time to talk about this.’
"So, should I thank you for that?" Nina’s cheeks puffed out slightly, a clear sign of her anger.
’She looks just like she did when she was twelve, huffing and puffing while scolding a naughty little boy.’
"She’s not the one I love."
Justin Kane took her hand, his thumb gently stroking her palm as he said with a soft smile, "The one I love is you. Can’t it be you?"
Nina frowned, assuming he was just trying to coax her.
’I’m not a child anymore.’
’Besides, I know you can’t force matters of the heart.’
"You don’t have to say these things because you’re afraid of hurting my feelings."
Nina struggled to pull her hand back, but he only held it tighter. Giving up, she stubbornly lifted her head to look at him.
"It’s just a divorce. We haven’t even consummated our marriage, so it should be simple."
’It’s better for me to bring it up and leave with some dignity than to wait for him to ask for a divorce one day.’
’Besides, it’s better to do it sooner rather than later.’
’Otherwise, if I fall in love with Justin Kane, getting a divorce then won’t be so easy.’
"You really want a divorce that badly?"
A playful smile touched Justin Kane’s lips. "Is it because you still can’t let go of Cole Kane, or is it because of what happened tonight?"
"What are you talking about? I got over him a long time ago."
Nina hated the feeling of being misunderstood.
She had already had more than enough of that with Cole Kane.
"Yes, I liked him for five years, but from the day I married you, I told myself I had to let him go."
"The problem now is you. The woman you love is back. Isn’t it time for a divorce?"
Justin Kane’s lips curved slightly. He didn’t actually mind that she used to like Cole Kane.
Liking someone wasn’t a crime.
And he believed that a person as proud and vibrant as her would live a free and unrestrained life, as glamorous and noble as a red rose.
Since she said she’d let go, she would definitely let go of Cole Kane.
A low chuckle escaped him. "Who told you she’s the one I love?"
Nina was taken aback. "She’s not?"
Justin Kane’s expression turned serious. "No. I have no romantic feelings for her. If you want to hear the details, I’ll tell you everything, bit by bit, in the future."
Given his character, he wouldn’t deign to lie.
The weight on Nina’s heart lifted considerably.
But she didn’t understand. "But this afternoon, I clearly heard you and Seth talking about her. And tonight, in the banquet hall, she kissed you."
As Nina spoke, her gaze fixed on his well-defined right cheek.
Justin Kane took her small, soft hand and placed it on his right cheek. "A proper man always protects himself when he’s out and doesn’t let other women touch him."
"Don’t worry, I keep to myself. She didn’t succeed. I dodged her."
His demeanor instantly dispelled the resentment in Nina’s chest.
’It seems I misunderstood him. In that situation, I really only saw April Graham kissing him.’
’I didn’t see clearly whether she actually made contact.’
’But if April Graham isn’t the one he loves, why did she sound so confident in the restroom?’
She didn’t doubt Justin Kane, but she was curious about what was really going on between them.
As if sensing her thoughts, Justin Kane gently caressed the back of her hand with his thumb. "Such a childish temper."
"In the future, if there’s a problem, I’ll have to ask Mrs. Kane to give me a chance to explain first. No more getting secretly angry and then asking for a divorce."
Justin Kane’s deep eyes darkened, his aura restrained and profound.
After hearing his explanation, Nina lowered her head in embarrassment. "I call that being sensible."
"Then let me make a request of Mrs. Kane,"
Justin Kane’s dark eyes gazed at her, his voice low and raspy. "With me, you don’t have to be so sensible."
"You can just be yourself. Be that spontaneous, proud person you are."
Nina met his gaze and slowly froze.
He was so emotionally stable, coaxing her as if he would never get angry, gently guiding her to state the problem so he could solve it.
It was a mature, gentle charm that few women could resist.
Nina even felt a secret thrill of joy. ’Thank goodness April Graham isn’t the one he loves.’
"Then I promise, I’ll ask you first if anything comes up." Nina’s cheeks grew warm, and she lowered her eyes.
Suddenly, Justin Kane bent down and swept her into his arms. "Didn’t you just say we haven’t consummated our marriage?"
"Mrs. Kane’s injuries are all healed. Tonight, you should be able to do... what a husband and wife should do with me, right?"
Nina’s face instantly turned bright red. She bit her lower lip, then nodded with a shy smile.
"Okay... okay."
A doting curve spread across Justin Kane’s lips as he carried her and strode quickly upstairs.
Back in the bedroom, Nina was placed on the large bed, and a shadow immediately fell over her.
Their searing heat pressed together through their clothes.
They were eye to eye, their noses and lips almost touching. Their warm breaths mingled in panting gasps, tangling invisibly together.
The look they shared was scorching, the atmosphere instantly charged with an intense intimacy.
Justin Kane gently caressed her cheek, his touch tender and loving. "Mrs. Kane, are you ready to give yourself to me?"
After tonight’s events, Nina was all too aware of her feelings for him.
She was incredibly shy, but she nodded firmly. "I’m ready..."
He seemed to have been waiting a long time for those words.
The moment the words left her mouth, Justin Kane eagerly captured her lips, plundering the air from her mouth in a kiss that was both gentle and wild.
His hands didn’t stay idle for a second, slipping under the hem of her dress, and she soon felt the caress of skin against skin.
Nina couldn’t help but let out a low moan, responding to him with equal fervor.
That night, she successfully transformed from a girl into a true woman.
Justin Kane was like a starving wolf that could never be sated, taking her again and again throughout the night.
Even with his best attempts at self-control, he took her three full times.
Nina was exhausted. She slept until noon the next day.
When she woke, she felt a warmth behind her. She subconsciously snuggled backward until her back was pressed against his body.
"You’re awake."
Propping his head up with one hand, Justin Kane lay on his side, holding her. He reached out and tapped the bridge of her nose. "Hungry?"
Nina wasn’t fully awake yet. Through sleepy eyes, she let out a lazy, kitten-like sound. "Not hungry. Still sleepy."
"Are you worn out? Then sleep a little longer. You need to rest well." Justin Kane’s voice was filled with doting amusement.
Nina’s memory was pulled back to the previous night, and in an instant, most of her sleepiness vanished.
Thinking of how wild and energetic he had been, Nina smiled, rolled over to face him, and snuggled her soft body into his embrace.
"It’s all your fault. Your stamina is just too good."
"As long as Mrs. Kane is satisfied."
A low, magnetic, and mellow laugh escaped Justin Kane.
"Now we’re husband and wife in every sense of the word. From now on, Mrs. Kane, you have to remember to be responsible for me."
After last night, Nina’s resentment had vanished.
Though a small part of her still worried he might have someone in his heart, she wanted more than anything to follow her own feelings and make a choice.
She chuckled and nuzzled against his chest. "In that case, Mr. Kane had better behave himself and not go fooling around."
"Alright."
Justin Kane lowered his head and placed a doting kiss on the crown of her head, his magnetic voice saying, "Sleep a little longer. I’ll wake you up for a meal later."
"Okay."
Nina felt that after taking that step last night, she was now filled with a sweet feeling. She hugged him, unwilling to let go.
’Especially since... he has a great body, and in *that* department, not only can he get it up, but he lasts for a long time...’
’I wonder if Macy and I are telepathic.’
Just as Justin Kane finished washing up and went downstairs, a call came in from Macy Lynch. "Babe, your show is a real hit! Everyone’s talking about it everywhere. They’re all saying the male and female leads have great chemistry and that it was filmed so well."
"By the way, wasn’t it your company’s celebration banquet last night? How did it go? Was Justin Kane proud of you? And did you go home and confess your feelings to him? Did he pounce on you?"
To the outside world, Macy Lynch had the cool and aloof air of a powerful woman, but with Nina, she was a total chatterbox.
Thinking about last night, Nina’s face flushed and her heart began to race.
She couldn’t help but bite her lip to suppress a smile. "He pounced. And he was... very good."
Macy was silent on the other end for less than three seconds before letting out an excited shriek. "You two *did it*?"
"Tell me everything! Did you guys finally take that step?"
Nina was so shy her face was beet red, but she couldn’t hide her smile. "Yes. I guess we’re a legitimate married couple now."
"Attagirl! You said you’d confess and you actually sealed the deal! He’s the dream guy for practically every woman out there!"
"So? How was he? Was he amazing? Are you satisfied?"
Nina thought back to how long they’d... done it... last night, and rolled around on the bed, hugging her blanket. "For a pretty long time..."
She didn’t notice, however, that Justin Kane was standing right at the bedroom door, watching her with an amused smile.
When she finally noticed him, she shot up, looked at him, and hurriedly hung up the phone. "You—When did you get back in the room?"
Justin Kane’s deep-set eyes held a teasing smile as he said nonchalantly, "Right around when you said I ’pounced’ and was ’very good’."
"It seems Mrs. Kane was quite satisfied with my performance last night?"
