Being Op With My Broken System: All Limits Have Errors-Chapter 10: Three coloured-rabbit
Chapter 10 - Three coloured-rabbit
Alex didn't stay long with the officers and soon left after they exchanged a few words. He was allowed entry outside the borders of Balon City.
This was Alex's first time outside the city; there was no recollection in the memories he had received after transmigrating either; it was a first-time experience.
In front of him was a large expanse of dry land that stretched for hundreds of meters outside the borders. He could spot some trees that marked the entrance of a forest in the distance but it was far from his current location.
The sun was high in the sky already, but he was unable to feel the temperature due to the protection from his mask and robe; he couldn't help but comment on the other uses of these items apart from their primary functions.
"Alright, let's stay close to the border and find weak monsters to level up," Alex mumbled to himself as he started to move towards the first in the distance.
After walking for several minutes, Alex was now in front of the forest with two gigantic trees in front of him and lush bushes filled his vision. The trees look several times larger than they were when he was still in front of the border, the sight of them up close was shocking.
Alex doubted that anything like this could be found in his old world.
"Well, nothing in this world is the same as Earth; I shouldn't be too shocked." He said with a sigh before searching through the storage device that was given to him by the union.
His old backpack appeared in his hand the next second, Alex searched through the backpack for a few seconds before bringing out a small compass. He returned the backpack to the storage device while the compass remained in his hand.
He had prepared the compass beforehand so that he didn't end up getting lost while exploring; he wasn't familiar with locations outside the border, so a compass would allow him to know his general location and where to go.
After turning in one place for a few seconds, Alex picked a side and immediately headed in that direction while putting the compass back in the storage bracelet.
He tried to recreate the scenes that he had seen in manga and anime from his past life, where mages would move from tree to tree at a fast speed.
Alex picked a relatively short tree in his vicinity before jumping toward its closest branch. Despite the tree being the shortest, it was still tens of meters tall. He had to gather strength in his legs before leaping into the air.
Boom!
A sound that resembled a small explosion rang out as Alex shot off the ground; his footprint left a mark on the forest floor due to the force of his leap while he soared through the air and approached the tree branch.
Thud!

His feet landed precisely on the large tree branch, which had enough room for him to make some movements and balance himself; he looked at the ground from his position and couldn't help but exclaim.
He felt like he could fly for a second!
Alex had almost forgotten that he was now a core mage and was no longer a mere apprentice mage, he could be considered to be a top mage in some backwater cities. Even some teachers at the academy were still at this rank.
After becoming a mage at the core stage, not only did his soul see an increase in size, and he could now store more mana, but his physical attributes like strength, speed, and endurance had always increased greatly; he was several times better than he was when he just took over this body.
"I haven't gotten the opportunity to test out the new changes after becoming a core mage, this is a perfect opportunity to see how strong I am now."
After saying this, Alex didn't stay any longer and immediately leapt away; he was like a dark shadow under the thin rays of sunlight that pierced through the gaps between the shades of trees as he jumped from one tree to another.
His indestructible fluttered gently, and he looked like he was flying through the forest.
Alex was having so much fun doing this that he almost forgot why he was here in the first place. He came back to his senses after a few minutes, though, because he finally came across a magic beast.
His first monster!
Alex landed on a tree branch that was several meters thick and almost twenty meters high on a tree. His black robe covered his body, and his white mask made him look mysterious.
His eyes stared through the openings on the mask as he looked at the magic beast on the ground.
It was a huge three-coloured rabbit monster with a height of six meters and two large teeth pointing down from its mouth; it looked exactly like a rabbit except for its exaggerated size and its body that was a mix of green, black, and yellow colour.
Alex immediately recognised this monster. As someone who used to be a trash mage and was only good at his studies, he would be embarrassed if he didn't recognize what type of magic beast this monster was.
The three-coloured rabbit was a harmless breed of magic beasts that could be found close to human settlements. Don't mind its scary appearance and menacing size; they were real-time herbivorous creatures and would flee at the first sight of danger.
Most people even kept them as long as they were able to make the rabbits not fear them.
What's more, they were only at the common magic beast rank on the ranking of magic beasts; they were the weakest of all magic beasts and were only slightly stronger than mages who were at the mid-level of the Apprentice mage rank.
The ranking of magic beasts is as follows:
Common rank magic beasts.
Mutated rank magic beasts.
Transformed rank magic beasts.
Divine rank magic beasts.
And lastly, the Calamity rank magic beasts.
"How lucky, a common rank magic beast as my first target; let me see how strong my spells are now."
Alex smiled behind his mask, wondering how powerful his spell would be now that he was a core mage. He could, at most, blow some dust while he was still an Apprentice mage; now it should be different.
The next moment, ten dazzling white stars appeared from Alex's soul sea and spun around him before connecting into two-star patterns.
The entire process took only a second to complete, this was to highlight how fast his casting speed was. Other mages at the core rank would usually need a few seconds to complete their star patterns but Alex did it almost instantly.
Immediately after the two-star patterns connected, a burst of silver-white glow that represented the white element lit up in Alex's eyes. He then raised his right hand and stretched his palm at the three-coloured rabbit.
"Telekinesis!" Alex used a very popular spell of the space element.
Meanwhile, on the ground, the six-meter-tall rabbit instantly sensed that something was wrong as its two large rabbit ears stood straight. It looked around for a split second and despite not seeing anything, it tried to run.
But it was too late as a powerful force suddenly wrapped around it the next moment.
Roar!!
The three-coloured rabbit let out a loud beastly roar that well suited its menacing appearance as it frantically struggled to break free, but it was unable to; no matter how much it struggled, its body was tightly held in place, and it was slowly lifted off the ground.
The rabbit frantically looked around, and its blood-red eyes soon landed on the line figure in a black robe and white mast that was standing on the tree branch; two silver lights pierced through the two openings of the mask and stared at the rabbit.
A look of fear immediately appeared in the eyes of the monster after spotting Alex, and it stopped struggling; Alex could feel its body trembling in his grasp. With his hand still stretched toward the monster, Alex observed it for a brief moment before letting out a sigh.
In the end, he couldn't bring himself to kill this three-coloured rabbit after seeing how horrified the monster looked. The monster was indeed very harmless and was no different from cats in his past life.
"Guess I'll have to look for another monster that's worth killing," Alex sighed helplessly before releasing his grip on the beast.
The three coloured rabbit suddenly felt the force that was holding it disappear and it could now move. Without wasting a single second, it dashed toward the thick forest behind it but just before it could move too far.
Swoosh!
A swift shadow shot out from a thick bush in a corner and attacked the three coloured rabbit.
Alex's eyes widened behind his mask as he watched the shadow ambush the rabbit and bite a huge chunk of flesh from its neck region.
Alex "..."
