Being Op With My Broken System: All Limits Have Errors-Chapter 141: Crafting.
Mia shifted the topic after that. She congratulated Alex on their academy winning their first match and also asked why he didn’t participate in the match. Just like what he had told his parents, Alex explained that he was only going to appear during the solo mode and wasn’t part of the group for the team mode matches.
Mia and the members of the Rising Wave group revealed looks of enlightenment and nodded their heads after hearing this. They had thought for a moment that Alex didn’t make it into the competition. Which would be very shocking considering what they had seen him capable of.
"It’s late already, why don’t I give you a ride back home?" Mia offered Alex’s family.
"Wouldn’t that be inconvenient for you guys? Don’t worry, we’ll be fine on our own." Alex’s mother smiled while waving her hands.
"It’s fine, totally fine. These guys can find their way back to the base by themselves." Mia assured her, and she glanced at the members of the Rising Wave group behind her as she said the last sentence.
The group didn’t dare to argue and all of them nodded in agreement.
Seeing that it was really fine, Alex’s mother agreed to allow Mia to take them to the outskirts.
"Follow me, the car is parked this way," Mia said before starting to walk in a direction.
"Umm, leader, you forgot the key," Simon called out while stretching his hand that was holding the car key toward Mia.
Instead of taking the key, Mia turned around and glanced at Simon with a puzzled look as if asking him why she was handing him the key to the car.
Simon had an awkward look because of how Mia was staring at him.
"D-didn’t you want to take them home with the car?" He asked.
"Yes?" Mia responded.
"Then you should take the car key," Simon added.
"Why?"
"To drive the car!"
"Who said I’m driving?"
Simon "..."
Everyone "..."
They all had a perplexed expression as they stared at Mia who was also looking at Simon with a confused face, her head tilted to the side.
You aren’t driving? How are you going to take them home with the car then?
"Don’t just stand there, let’s go." Mia voiced out before turning around and walking off.
Everyone now understood, so she meant that Simon was going to drive Alex’s family home while she tagged along; everyone else would find their way back to base!
...
Minutes later, Simon dropped Alex and his family in front of their house before driving back to the RWGB with Mia.
The family of four entered their home and while everyone else went to their rooms to freshen up, their mother went to heat up their dinner that she had prepared before leaving home in the morning.
Some time later, everyone had gathered at the dining table.
They returned to their rooms right after eating.
Alex didn’t go to sleep immediately after entering his room, he waited for a bit before using Void Walk to leave his room and directly appeared on top of a tall building in the middle of Balon City
After reaching there, he summoned his stars and cast ’Warden of the Rift’. Four huge white star constellations appeared in the sky for a brief moment, disappearing, and Alex’s eyes began to glow like white torches as he glanced over Balon City; nothing was hidden from him, he could even hear the Archmage who was still disturbing Clint about how to contact Mr Chen.
This was what Alex had been doing regularly, he had become a sort of local vigilante and would search the City frequently for signs of people from the Dark Union.
Well, he couldn’t really be sure who was a member of the Dark Union, so what he was looking out for were familiar faces or suspicious discussions.
However, he hadn’t found anything up till now which was a good thing. Either the Dark Union had been frightened away by him or they were trying to investigate him before coming back. No matter what the reason might be, what mattered to Alex was that they were not in Balon City.
After observing for a while, Alex ended the skill before returning home with Void Walk and directly appearing inside his room.
He summoned his system profile and looked at his exp points, wondering what to do with them since he couldn’t level up anymore, at least not for the time being.
His eyes scanned through the abilities/skills of the system and he entered craftsman, the ability that allowed him to craft spells.
After activating the skill, a familiar window appeared in front of him.
....
(Skill: craftsman: create spells. Please select which element the host wants to craft spells for ]
...
Alex casually picked the space element.
....
[Selected: Space element! Please choose a crafting option.
Customized crafting/ auto craft!]
...
Alex didn’t have any particular spell that he wanted to craft in mind so he chose auto craft.
[Selected: auto craft! System will start crafting a spell now!]
[Crafting....]
...
After making his choice, the notification that the system was crafting a random spell appeared in front of him and Alex waited for the system to finish crafting.
He didn’t have to wait long, as the system was done within a minute. The system that had been crafted appeared in front of Alex.
[Spell: Space vortex.
Space vortex: Create a spatial vortex at any point around the host, the vortex can absorb spells that are used to attack the host by releasing a powerful suction force and shoot them back at a target.
Rank requirement: Core rank, Expert rank, Master rank, Archmage rank, Grand Archmage rank, Sage rank.
Cost: 50,000 exp points!
Note: +1 vortex per rank. Vortex(es) can only absorb spells of similar ranks, stronger spells will cause them to explode.]
....
Alex "..."
He was shocked after reading the description of the spell that the system had crafted. A space vortex that can absorb and spit back spells, and he could form six around himself?!
Wouldn’t that make him untouchable as long as he didn’t get attacked by anyone stronger than the Sage rank?! He could literally attack people with their own spells.
An overpowered spell, he liked it!
Alex looked at his system profile again.
.....
ALMIGHTY PATH SYSTEM (error)
Host: Alex Zoran
Level: 44
Exp for next level:31,800 /100(error)
Rank: Peak stage, Saint rank
Elements: Space. Lightning
SPECIAL ABILITIES:
Dual-element body: The host can use two elements.
Void walk...
....
The spell cost 50k exp points, and he only had 31k and 800; he couldn’t craft the spell immediately.
But this wasn’t something that bothered Alex; all he needed was one trip outside the city, and he would have enough.
Alex decided to leave the crafting section just like that and return once he had enough exp points.
The spell was worth the amount of exp that the system had requested; a spell like that would come very handy in many situations.
Alex wondered how long he could store a spell after he swallowed it with his vortex and if he could swallow beasts as well. Since it would suck in spells, it should be able to suck in magic beasts as well, right?
Alex wondered what would happen to magic beasts if they entered the vortex, he would find out after crafting it.
Alex then closed the system and went to sleep.
Meanwhile, after Alex left the top of the building where he had used Warden of the Rift, a figure appeared on top of the building several minutes later.
It was the Archmage who was in the second VVIP booth during the auction. Not long after he appeared, a few more figures arrived. They were Clint, William, and the two young adults who had accompanied the Archmage during the auction.
"I could have sworn that I felt it, someone used an Archmage rank spell from here but I can’t tell which element."
The Archmage mumbled in a low voice with a serious expression as he stared into the distance from the top of the building. William and the other three stood behind him.
"Could it be Mr Chen?" The young woman asked, she knew that their teacher had been searching for a certain Mr Chen since the auction night.
Immediately after hearing her words, the head of the Archmage turned with speed and his eyes locked on William and Clint.
"Could it be him? Is Mr Chen an Archmage? But that shouldn’t be right, I wasn’t able to see through him at all while I felt very exposed despite being in separate booths." The Archmage voiced out.
They had been chilling at the Union building when the Archmage suddenly rushed in and claimed that he felt the aura of an Archmage rank spell.
They didn’t dare to doubt him because of the incident with the Dark Union the last time; they knew that a member of the Dark Union who was at the Archmage rank had been present. Things would have gotten really bad if not for Mr Chen, so they decided to follow the other party to investigate.
But now that the suspect for the spell had suddenly become Mr Chen, they didn’t know how to react.
Was Mr Chen an Archmage? They didn’t know.
Mr Chen had fought the Archmage from the Dark Union but he had only used Master rank spells during the fight.
"We don’t know if he’s an Archmage or not."
They replied after a moment of silence.
"Then what rank do you think he is?"
William and Clint "..."
