Chapter 11: Chapter 11: First Meeting.

The next day, Nate stood in front of the large mirror, neatly combing his hair like a nerd student.

Kim leaned against the wall with his arms crossed, watching with a smirk. "Hey, man, you're not a CEO; you're just a student. Sometimes you forget your place."

Nate paused, still focused on his reflection, and raised an eyebrow. "What... I am a CEO."

Before he could continue, Kim reached over and tousled Nate's perfectly styled hair, transforming it into a rebellious look. "Of course, you, but not now. There. Now you look cool."

Nate stared at his reflection, his expression shifting into a dramatic, bombastic glare. "Really?"

Kim smirked. "Sometimes you act like an old man."

Nate cleared his throat. "I'm four years younger than you, just for your information!" he teased, feeling proud.

Kim waved a hand dismissively. "Arasoo, araso... Don't focus on her like she's a target—just go with the flow. Girls like casual guys, not a perfect man."

Nate chuckled and adjusted his hair "Alright. Watch me," he said with a wink.

Kim grinned. "That's the spirit."

Kim grabbed his car keys from the table and twirled them between his fingers. The two of them then left the room and headed to the car park, but Nate's thoughts drifted back to yesterday's lecture.

When Nate entered the Finance lecture hall, it was filled with chatter and laughter as students waited for their professor. He settled near Mike and checked his phone.

A girl with wavy brown hair walked to Nate's desk. "Hey, new guy," she began. "I'm Lisa. I'm hosting a party at my place this weekend, and I want to invite you. You should come, handsome! and bring your friends too." She said this in a flirty tone and winked at him.

Nate nodded sweetly and smiled back at her, but his mind was elsewhere. Is that necessary for me right now? he inquired. Then, a second thought struck him. What if Evangeline shows up at the party?

Mike's friend Jake said, "Lisa organizes those popular monthly parties. Everyone loves her cheerful bearing, and she can make people feel comfortable, which is why her parties are so successful." He then shared some memorable incidents from her events.

Nate heard, glancing at everyone, resting his palm on his strong jawline for support. The energy in the room was noticeable; everyone eagerly anticipated discussing his dress code for their first party of the year.

Mrs. Anna entered the lecture hall with a warm smile and gave a brief introduction to previous class topics, and then she continued her lecture. Everyone in the class was paying full attention in the middle of her lecture when two phones vibrated simultaneously. Nate and Mike exchanged knowing glances as they checked their screens.

A message flashed across Nate's phone:

"Hi everyone, Assemble at 2:00 PM at the volleyball stadium."

—Jason

Nate looked at Mike, who nodded slightly in understanding.

Meanwhile, a huge, modern company employee was working eagerly; some people work under lots of pressure, and some people work for fun and entertainment.

At the top floor, Max sat in a conference room, with dim light and a silent background, pretending to attend the meeting. His attention, however, remained drawn to the confident woman seated across the table. She had a natural grace, with a calm presence and a brilliant grin that made everything else seem perfect.

Max thought racing watching her in projector light, "She was different from other women. I really want to know about her more"

"Does anyone have any questions?" the presenter asked, dragging Max back to the meeting. He sighed but his lips cornered upwards, raising his hand slightly in front of her. "Yes, I have. Why are we clinging to the current material? "Investing in higher-quality components may increase costs slightly, but it will significantly improve the product's efficiency and duration."

The presenter nodded, "That's a good point, sir, but the production costs would increase circularly, and this one makes everyone affordable."

Max adjusting his coat, approaches his statement confidently, "Quality always pays off in the long run. Let us focus on the fact that it is worthwhile.

The woman looked at him and nodded in agreement with his statement. "He's correct, we can't change product repeatedly," she said gently.

The atmosphere in the room shifted as discussions began to buzz with excitement, and everyone expressed their agreement with his idea. They all signed on to implement the project. A few minutes later, one by one, the meeting adjourned, and people stood up to gather their belongings.

Selena stood up from her chair and walked over casually, catching Max's attention with her nimble yet confident movements. An inner playboy demon stirred in his mind as he watched her.

She approached him with a smile, saying, "I liked your idea," and extended her hand. "I'm Selena."

Max shook her hand firmly. "Max. Nice to meet you."

Feeling a strong connection, Max suggested, "I would like to discuss the possibility of your company sponsoring us or anything you help you need. "

"Please feel free to reach out anytime." he gave his company card, and just as he was about to share more ideas, suddenly Selena's phone began buzzing incessantly in her pocket.

She glanced at the screen, her eyes narrowed, expression shifting slightly, before excusing herself with a polite smile. "Excuse me, Max, for a moment," she said as she stepped aside to take the call.

Max watched her the way she walked, her hair bouncing back; he could smell her scent after she had gone, a smirk on his lips as he pondered what had happened. She is my type. This will be interesting, he thought, anticipating their next interaction.

Later, at 2.00 pm, loud rock music blasted through the speakers. Jason, the assistant president of the sports club, stood with his arms crossed. When he cut the music with a sharp gesture, he shot a look toward Alex. "We're not here for a party, Alex."

Alex smirked but didn't respond.

"Everyone will be here in five minutes; if we act like a kid, how will they respect us?" Jason continued, not even finishing his sentence before nearly ten students rushed in through the gate.

"Alright, hurry up! we have no time." Jason called out to his friends to arrange the chairs.

"Please settle down!" he announced after the students calmed.

Once they were settled, he took the microphone. "Hi, everyone. Welcome to the basketball stadium."

He faced the front of the students. "Firstly, we'll be conducting a selection test on Monday, and your scores will determine whether you move forward in the process or not."

Alex added standing near Jason with claps. "Practice today, practice only pays off, guys," he said with an encouraging smile.

Kim leaned in close to Nate and whispered, "This is going to be fun."

Just then, Aaron and his group entered from the entrance, exuding their usual confidence. Jason glanced at them. "You guys also have to take the test."

Aaron scoffed in disbelief. "Why? We're already good at this," he said, his arrogance evident.

Jason remained firm. "I know, Aaron, but everyone is equal here."

Aaron nodded, though disappointment was clear on his face. He stepped forward, locking eyes with Nate.

A moment of silent tension passed between them—an unspoken challenge—while other students busily practiced.
