Beyond the Bloodline-Chapter 358: Rule Breaker Clash
Meanwhile, Jamie was engaged in his own battle against two women who were attacking him without pause.
One kept her distance, launching projectiles from afar, while the other closed in with a lance forged entirely from cosmic energy.
She attacked viciously, targeting only vital points, and although Jamie blocked each of her attacks, he couldn’t help but acknowledge her impressive skill with the lance.
Her companion’s well-timed attacks occasionally forced him to raise spatial barriers to intercept or alter the trajectories of the bullets fired from afar.
Then, as he slammed his palms together and spread them wide, forming a multi-layered barrier to block the lance’s thrust in front of him, creation law energy suddenly flooded the area.
In moments, cannons appeared in every direction around him, each one charging up immense concentrations of cosmic energy.
And then came the command.
|Imaginary Armament: Fire.|
Jamie instantly snapped his fingers the moment the beams of light green energy descended, and as usual, portals expanded around him, swirling open and absorbing every beam into their dark depths.
The portals then merged, compressing into a single dense mass of energy in his palm.
He casually tossed it into the air, caught it, then immediately spun and thrust it toward the woman wielding the lance.
She attempted to teleport away at once, but Jamie did not permit teleportation, causing it to fail.
Left with no choice, she quickly formed a shield of cosmic energy to block the incoming attack, manipulating the cosmic energy as fluidly as water, displaying control that impressed Jamie.
Not that it mattered.
The attack, imbued with Jamie’s void energy, tore through her cosmic shield like paper, struck her energy armour, shredded it, and crashed into her, hurling her back and slamming her into the barrier of a nearby universe.
He immediately turned and charged toward the one firing from a distance, and just as he closed the gap in an instant, he vanished and reappeared behind her, launching a casual punch aimed at her back.
She reacted instantly, spinning around as the gun in her hands morphed into a sword, which she slashed at him with, but the blade phased right through Jamie without resistance.
He then reached out, grabbed her wrist, and with sheer physical strength, crushed it in his grip.
The moment it happened, she winced, her mouth opened, but instead of a scream, a cannon emerged from her lips and fired a point-blank bolt of cosmic energy straight at Jamie’s face.
**BOOOOM!!!
"I’m sorry, what the fuck?" Jamie muttered in disbelief, reflexively letting go of her wrist, allowing her to put distance between them.
She immediately charged at him, swinging her sword and unleashing a slash of darkness. Just as she did, Jamie used his left hand to strike the inner part of her wrist, redirecting her sword to the side.
In that moment, her weapon morphed into a pistol, and she fired a bullet imbued with creation energy.
This was the smallest gun she had used so far, and the bullets were the smallest she had fired throughout the fight, but Jamie didn’t dare underestimate them.
He instantly activated his Azure Void Authority, releasing a wave of void energy that collided with the creation law energy bullet in a massive explosion that quite literally voided the space around them.
Both of them were blasted back, and as Jamie watched, the overwhelming creation law energy condensed into that bullet directly countered the void energy he had unleashed, the two forces completely nullifying each other.
Jamie’s nothingness had been nullified by her creation.
"I know I wasn’t being serious, but she’s actually pretty good," he muttered as he raised two fingers and swung them down, activating his Unique Skill’s Basic Attack Sequence #1.
She avoided the slash, and he followed up by waving his hand, activating Sequence #3 to carve out a chunk of the space around him, but she bent her upper body backwards, the wave of spatial energy sweeping just a centimetre above her nose as it ripped through space.
Creation law energy burst from her body and flooded the area, and for an instant, it felt as though time had fractured, and she became momentarily detached from the normal flow of space-time, making Jamie appear completely still from her perspective.
Her bent body completed the backflip, and as she descended, a cannon formed in her hands, glowing with green energy as gears turned and lights blinked across its surface.
In a calm voice, she muttered,
|12th Shot: Launch,| and unleashed a nova of pure creation law energy toward Jamie.
Just before it struck, Jamie shifted his gaze, locking eyes with her. "Impressive," he said, as the nova collided with him in a massive eruption of green light.
The blinding explosion sent a violent shockwave ripping through space, but barely a second later, the cosmic energy was forcefully dispersed, revealing Jamie, completely unscathed.
He turned toward Sarina’s direction, where a crimson wave was crashing against a rising tide of darkness, and said, "Alright, you two. Playtime’s over."
Raising his hand, he pointed his fingers downward and declared.
|Cosmic domination.|
Instantly, all the ambient cosmic energy within several hundred light-years fell under his control.
"?!"
"Shit!"
The two women, both Sub Cosmic beings, immediately found themselves unable to manipulate cosmic energy.
The one wielding the lance couldn’t even maintain its form anymore, as the energy she had been drawing on dissipated.
Their expressions darkened at once as they realised what Jamie had just done, and the man responsible calmly extended his hand and called, "Galaxy Sword."
For a brief moment, all light vanished from the area, and when it returned to their sight, the Galaxy Sword had appeared in Jamie’s hand.
But just as he raised the blade to swing, the sword suddenly spoke.
[Huh? Wait, Jamie! What’s that guy doing here?]
At that, Jamie froze and replied, "That guy?"
After hearing the Galaxy Sword’s telepathic response, Jamie’s eyes widened, and then he burst into loud laughter. "Ha ha ha! What a fucking coincidence!"
As his laughter echoed out, the two women stared at him with strange expressions, unable to comprehend why someone who had just revealed himself to be far stronger than they had expected was suddenly laughing so hard.
While they were still trying to make sense of his reaction, Jamie abruptly turned his gaze toward Sarina and shot off in her direction, his speed far surpassing anything he had shown against the two women.
He tore through space-time, arriving between Sarina and her opponent just as they were about to clash, and swung the Galaxy Sword at the man.
As Jamie had anticipated, in the split second before his slash landed, the colours of reality around them inverted, and what met the Galaxy Sword was no longer the Destruction-forged weapon the man had been using against Sarina, but a jet black sword streaked with silver lines running along its blade.
Cosmic energy erupted as their swords collided, and the resulting shockwave sent both of them flying backwards.
Yet Jamie was still grinning, laughing as he spun through space and looked up to meet the wide, crimson eyes of the handsome young man with silver hair similar to his own, only a duller shade.
|Long time no see, Arthur!!!|
The young man was momentarily stunned by Jamie’s sudden appearance, but then immediately shouted back, |You fucking bastard!|
Cosmic energy erupted from his body as he charged straight at Jamie, swinging his sword down.
|Soul Devouring Oblivion!|
As soon as he invoked it, cosmic energy burst from him like a tidal wave, and Sarina’s eyes widened in shock at the power now radiating from his body. Power that someone on his level should not have been able to wield.
Still laughing, Jamie replied, "No, no, no, that’s no way to greet an old friend, don’t you think?"
And as he spoke, he activated his own Weapon Authority, swinging his sword upward to meet the descending blade wrapped in crimson-silver energy.
|Dimensional Severance!|
Jamie knew the incoming attack well. He already knew what was coming and how the clash would unfold.
And it was precisely because he had expectations that he was completely caught off guard when the word that followed the declaration of the Authority was the exact opposite of what he had prepared for.
|Extreme Nothingness: Order!|
"Wait, Order???"
Jamie’s amused expression instantly turned to one of pure disbelief in the moment before the two swords collided in a silent explosion.
A burst of white light engulfed the area, so intensely bright that everyone present, including Sarina, instinctively averted their eyes from the clash.
Cosmic energy pulsed outward, reverberating through the void and shaking the nearby universes. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
And when the blinding radiance finally faded, what remained was a long, jagged tear carved into reality itself.
And within that tear was nothing.
Quite literally, nothing. No space. No time. No reality. No dimensions.
Just an empty void, identical to the one Jamie had created during his battle against the ASB in Pinecone.
Unlike that time, however, reality quickly began to stitch itself back together, the residual energy from the slash unleashed by Jamie’s opponent weaving into the surrounding space, restoring the fabric it had just torn apart in its clash with Jamie’s sword.
As reality mended itself, the two of them curved around the closing rift, charging straight at one another.
The young man named Arthur released his black sword and said, "Lostvayne, sit this one out. Celestia, you’re up."
He grasped at empty space, and in an instant, a sword materialised in his hand, its blade half-transparent.
The moment cosmic energy erupted from it, the Galaxy Sword in Jamie’s grasp shouted,
[Jamie, dodge!]
Jamie didn’t hesitate to follow the Galaxy Sword’s warning, but even if he hadn’t, it wouldn’t have made a difference, because the instant the man drew the sword, time stopped.
The flow of time was frozen, as if a dam had blocked it from moving forward or backwards.
Jamie was stunned. Sarina was also dumbfounded.
Even if it was only for a moment, the fact that she had felt her body stiffen from the temporal command of a being many Existence Realms below her made her eyes widen in disbelief.
And in that same instant, Arthur closed the distance to Jamie, his sword descending toward Jamie’s neck.
But just when it seemed like Jamie was about to be beheaded, Arthur suddenly released the sword and punched Jamie in the face, sending him flying into a nearby universe.
