Aiden was launching a new project as usual, he was holding a launch party for it.

The hall was already filled up, people were congratulating him and business partners were trooping around, asking to partner with him for that particular product.

Ariel felt the whole crowd was overwhelming, so she decided to step out of the hall for some fresh air.

The evening sun was warm and beautiful, the warm breeze ruffling her hair; she walked out of Aiden's company building and went toward a tree; she needed to sit under the quiet and cool place.

She wasn't dressed lavishly, she wore a simple Jean and a shirt, she didn't feel like dressing to impress, her condition was making her feel a lot sleepy and tired, all these celebrations were wearing her out.

She sighed, lowering herself to the floor beside the trees and leaning her back on it.

She wanted to nap, she knew it would look weird when Aiden found her sleeping under a tree, but she couldn't help it, she couldn't go either, they had come together in one car, and leaving now would mean abandoning him and her pride wouldn't even let her; Aiden had told her to stay back home, but she had insisted on following him. She wasn't going to go to him and ask him to leave.

She yawned, closing her eyes to catch some sleep; however, she didn't rest for one minute when her phone suddenly ran into her pocket.

She slowly opened her eyes, frowning. She took her phone and narrowed her eyes at the unknown number; he had almost let the call ring out, but something just told her to answer it.

"Hello, who is-"

"Hi, Ariel, you chose to reply to my emails," Bay's calm voice said.

Ariel frowned, 'how did she get my number?' She wondered.

"Bay? What a surprise, you got my number," Ariel chuckled but are wasn't quite happy about it.

"Oh, dear, I'm sorry, but that's not the real surprise. Do you want to know?" Bay asked in an eerie voice.

Ariel immediately sat up, she had a very bad feeling in her bones, "What do you mean?" She questioned.

"Oh, here, Jace, speak to your mother," Bay chuckled.

Ariel slowly stood, her heart pounding hard; the chills she got were more than what she'd ever felt in her life; how did Bay get hold of Jace? Wasn't he out with Gregory and Eva?

"Mummy? Guess who I met at the park?!" Jace said, excited.

Ariel took a deep, shaky breath. She was calming herself down because her son was still okay for now...but for how long?

"Okay, baby, Mummy will come and get you very soon, okay?" She assured him in an even tone that she wouldn't want to scare her son.

"Okay, Mummy, bye, Bay Said I should hand her the phone," She could hear his footsteps walking away from the phone.

"Oh, Ariel, you're so careless, didn't you're husband not tell you about me?" Bay chuckled darkly.

Ariel frowned, "Listen, Bay, don't try to hurt my child, I don't know what you want but please, just don't hurt him, send me your address and I'll come get my baby," She didn't take chances, as she spoke, she immediately tracked Bay's location, smiling when realized it was still inside the city.

She quickly sent it to Aiden and texted him to come get her and Jace from there. She didn't want to waste time by going in to inform him, so she would go with the car, and Aiden would come with one of his cars; she just couldn't waste a single time; she needed to go get her baby.

"You need the address?" Bay asked.

"Yes, please, we can talk amicably when I get there, please," She smirked. She already knew the location, but she was playing along.

"Fine, you'll be brought to me, then," Bay replied.

Ariel frowned, "Huh, what do you - Ah!" She felt something hit her hard at the back of her head.

She fell to the floor and everywhere turned dark for her in a matter of seconds.

"Wakey, wakey, Ariel, it's time to meet your mother-in-law," Ariel heard Bay's whispered beside her ear.

She winced from the headache and slowly needed her eyes, facing the bright light in the room.

Her eyes were narrowed because of the bright light, but she didn't close them back; her eyes were going around the empty room, searching for her son.

"He's not here, stop looking," Bay walked out from behind Ariel, a key jingling in her hand.

Ariel stared at her with an unreadable expression; she knew the key in Bay's hand was the key to the chain around her wrists and ankles.

"Hello, Emily, what do you want from us? Haven't you done enough?" Ariel asked in a calm voice, she wasn't going to get hysteric and feed Emily's ego.

Emily smiled, "Oh, so my son does speak of me, I knew he always loved me," She gave Ariel a disturbing look.

Ariel smiled sweetly, "He's not your son, Emily, and you don't have to worry; he'd only spoken of you once, and it was just to badmouth you. He never failed to highlight how evil you were as a human, luckily, you got chased out of the family by Mr. Chaz, the best choice he'd ever made, might I add," She chuckled.

Bay scowled, "You're a bitch, my son should have done better," She eyed Ariel with hatred.

"Whatever, Bay. Cut to the chase, I'm a busy woman. Where's my son? And what do you want?" She questioned directly.

Bay smiled, "Don't be in a rush; why not catch up with your mother-in-law? I'll call your husband; he has to join our conversation," She showed Ariel her phone, which she had taken from when she was brought in.

"Go ahead," Ariel nodded.

Bay didn't like the way Ariel was replying to her, "You really think you can speak to me with that attitude and go scot-free?" She went close and grabbed Ariel's face.

Ariel glared into her eyes, "Ger your stupid hands off me," She gritted out.

"You'll watch your fucking mouth, whore! You're in my place! I'm supposed to be the only woman married to a Chaz, the money, the fame, it should have been all mine!" She gripped Ariel's face tightly.

Ariel didn't flinch, she maintained eye contact and said, "You lost that right when you fucked another man in your husband's house, when you treated your child as a slave, poisoned your husband, molested your son - ugh!" Ariel's face flew to the side from Bay's slap, her cheek stinging.

"You've said enough," Bay's voice took a dark tone.

Ariel looked at her, her eyes showing the fire that was going to consume Bay if she ever got set free.

"Your baby... little Jace said it's a twin, I can't let you give birth to more heirs, not even one, but two..." Bay chuckled.

"They have to go... well, you have to go too. You don't have to worry about Aiden; he's my son; I can take care of him when you're gone, just like I took care of him when he was little," She laughed.

"You're sick," Ariel said, clenching her jaws.

"Oh, I'll show you what madness is," Bay scoffed and walked toward the door, "Bring him in," She said to someone outside the door.

"Mummy?" Jace called, looking scared as a man carried him inside the room.

"No... no, Emily, don't be stupid, don't try anything with my son, just tell me what you want and I'll give it to you," She pleaded.

"Mummy? Bay is scary," Jace ran to his mother and hugged her the moment the man put him on the floor.

"Don't worry, Sweetheart, well get out of here, okay?" She assured, holding back her tears.

"Oh, no, you won't. Hold the boy steady," Bay ordered the man.

"No! Bay, Emily, please!" Ariel screamed as she saw the man grab Jace, and handed Bay something in a syringe.

"Keep shut, and watch; it'll be your turn soon," Bay smirked at her.

Jace struggled when he saw Bay bringing the syringe close to him, "No, Mummy, I don't like injections, no!"

"Emily!" Ariel screamed at the top of her lungs as Bay ruthlessly jabbed the syringe into Jace's neck, making the boy go quiet and motionless in the next second.

"No, no, you bitch, you'll lay for this!" Ariel cried, her heart ached as she watched her lively son turn limp in the man's arm, she was scared, scared that the crazy bitch might have actually killed her son.

She cried, wondering what was taking Aiden so long to get here, did he get her message at all?

"Please, Bay, tell me what you want, I'll give it to you, please, just let me and my son go, please," She pleaded.

Bay smiled, "I just want wealth, Ariel; I'm old now; I can't have the spotlight I wanted anymore, so it's just wealth; every single penny they own shall be transferred to me. And I can only get it, through you," She took another syringe from the man and walked toward Ariel.

"Emily, no, stop this madness, I'm begging you," She shifted her head away from Bay.

"Say hi to your stupid son on the other side," Bay grabbed Ariel's hair before pushing the needle into her neck.

Before she lost consciousness, Ariel felt her throat constricting, air was hard to get in, she fought hard before finally giving up to the darkness
