Chapter 830: Chapter 692: Tong Laosi Never Lies (Part 1)

"Alright, don’t chat with Prime Minister Airui for too long. Prime Minister Airui flew for half a day and hasn’t rested since arriving, yet he’s here meeting with you."

"Yeah, I know."

Tong Airui said with a smile after Sisana left, "You’ve married a good wife."

Juster chuckled lightly, "You can see she’s good too?"

"Of course I can see it, you shouldn’t let her good intentions go unappreciated."

"I remember you said: My wife, I’ll cherish her myself."

"Your memory is impressive, you’ve remembered everything I said." 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Juster smiled, "Let’s talk about something serious."

"Go ahead."

"Ever since Uncle Che resigned, Fang Yao Continent has seen a surge of retirements, do you think this is okay?"

"There are pros and cons. Young is good, there’s a drive to push Fang Yao Continent forward, but young people lack experience and can be impulsive. However, I’ve analyzed it; among those who came up, aside from you, they’re all pretty good—energetic yet stable."

Juster looked at him, half amused, half exasperated, "Why are you always critical of me? Seems like I’ll have to discuss things with Leon in the future, or I’ll be driven mad by you."

"That’s exactly the outcome I want."

"Aren’t you afraid I’ll tell Leon what you said?"

Tong Airui chuckled, "I can’t wait for you to tell him. Then he’ll find someone to replace me sooner, and I’ll be able to enjoy the days of a fairy-tale couple with my wife."

Juster gave him a deep look, "Airui, do you believe there are feelings developed over time, aside from love at first sight?"

"We’re discussing serious matters, why the sudden shift to this topic?"

"This is also serious."

Tong Airui smiled, "I fell in love with Luowa at first sight; you and Sisana developed feelings over time. Besides these, there are many types of relationships in the world. Regardless of the type, remember one thing: cherish the one in front of you!"

Juster furrowed his brows tightly, "Cherish the one in front of you?"

Tong Airui rolled his eyes at him, "Exactly! I should also mention, as someone who’s been through it, pregnant women shouldn’t get too upset; it affects the baby. You’d better behave."

Juster suddenly stood up, "I’ll take you to Joyina’s room."

"You’ve come to your senses, going back to accompany your wife?"

"I’m worried you’ll go crazy if you don’t see Luowa soon!"

Tong Airui got up with a smile, "You truly understand me."

Joyina and Yi Luowa coaxed Mianmian to sleep and then started chatting in the hall outside Mianmian’s bedroom. Joyina hesitated for a while before speaking, "Luowa, I really don’t know if I should tell you something."

"What could you say to me that’s bad? If you want to say something, say it quickly, Airui’s about to come bursting in."

Joyina pouted, "Never seen someone stick to their wife like him!"

"Doesn’t your third brother stick to you? Last time you went out filming, he took a special plane to visit you on set."

Joyina laughed, "That was because he couldn’t find his socks, wanted to ask where they were."

"A phone call could resolve that, why bother going in person! No one in our family believed that unreliable story." Yi Luowa nudged her, "Didn’t you have something to say? Why aren’t you saying it now?"

"I heard something that made me understand why Tong Fourth hates my brother so much."

Yi Luowa’s eyes flickered slightly, "Some things are better left unsaid."

Joyina looked at her, surprised, "You know?"

"I know. But it’s just nonsense Tong Airui spouted; the senior has no feelings for me. Just treat it as a joke. Joyina, trust me, your brother and sister-in-law are just starting. Don’t interfere; they’ll get better over time."

Joyina muttered to herself, "No wonder you ignore my brother; you’re trying to make him give up..."

Yi Luowa looked at her helplessly, "Joyina, I’ve already told you it’s all nonsense from Tong Airui. Why do you say that?"

Joyina bit her finger, "This definitely isn’t nonsense from Tong Fourth, otherwise, how would you know my brother and sister-in-law are just beginning? Luowa, suddenly a lot of things I couldn’t figure out before make sense!"

Yi Luowa helplessly shook her head, "The reason I know they’re just starting is because I saw it in their eyes. You keep dazing off, I’m going back to the room. Otherwise, if Tong Airui can’t find me, it’ll alarm the entire palace."

Joyina blinked, "I’ll go back with you."

Yi Luowa hesitated slightly, "Did your sister-in-law say these things?"

Joyina nodded.

"Tell her they’re baseless. Don’t let her overthink things; if it goes on, it’ll affect their relationship."

"You said it too vaguely. I had to give her a good talking-to. Didn’t you notice her attitude changed a lot during dinner?"

"I noticed."

Joyina laughed, "I knew someone as smart as you would definitely notice."

"Sigh..."

"Don’t sigh, you’re so happy right now..."

"It’s all baseless, yet it brought so much confusion to your sister-in-law. I suddenly feel a bit sorry for her." Yi Luowa looked up at Joyina, "If your sister-in-law ever needs my help, tell me, I’ll definitely help her."

"Sisana, why are you standing here?" came Juster’s voice from outside.

Yi Luowa and Joyina exchanged glances before walking out one after the other.

Sisana smiled openly, "I wanted to chat with Luowa, but heard them discussing something important, so I didn’t want to interrupt. I thought, I’d go in after they finished."

Tong Airui smiled subtly, "Wifey, what important things were you and Joyina discussing to make Sisana’s eyes sweat?"

After Tong Airui spoke, everyone looked at Sisana.

Sisana wiped away her tears with a hand and apologized, "Sorry, ever since getting pregnant, I’ve been more sentimental."

"Women are like that during pregnancy." Yi Luowa laughed, grabbing her hand, "Mianmian’s asleep. If you’re not tired, let’s go sit in Joyina’s room."

Sisana glanced at Juster.

Juster frowned slightly, "If you still feel up to it, go sit for a bit. I have some things to deal with, so I won’t join you."

Juster said and then turned and left the courtyard.

Sisana sniffed and hugged Yi Luowa, whispering in her ear, "I heard everything you said earlier, thank you!"

Yi Luowa gently patted her shoulder with a smile, "Don’t cry too much during pregnancy, or you’ll have a baby who loves to cry. Plus, during pregnancy, think more happy thoughts, you’ll be happy, the baby will be happy too."

"I will remember. Luowa, thank you! I won’t stay with you today. I’ll go see Juster, don’t let him get too tired."

Yi Luowa smiled and nodded, "Hurry along, even sitting beside him will make him rest if he doesn’t want to."

Sisana laughed, shaking her head, "I don’t think I have that much charm yet."

Tong Airui laughed and added, "Don’t underestimate yourself. Juster showed admiration and love when talking about you just now."

Joyina laughed and gently pulled Sisana from Yi Luowa’s embrace, "Sis-in-law, Tong Fourth never lies, I’ll take you back."
