She fluttered faster. Her small, round body wobbled at first, then slowly... slowly lifted off the ground. Dust scattered beneath her as her shadow separated from the cave floor.

For a second, she just hovered there, six eyes wide in disbelief.

Her wings buzzed louder, unstable but powerful. She tilted slightly to the left, overcorrected then steadied herself midair.

She shot up three meters too fast and barely twisted away from a stalactite.

Her excitement was cut short as she slammed into a wall.

With a powerful snap of her new wings, Maddy blurred into the air. She weaved through thick vines with her Rapid Reflexes, spiraling upward until she reached a vast chamber swarming with Mammoth Mosquitoes.

They turned their needle like heads toward her, the buzzing deafening.

"You’re all going to be reincarnated as part of my children... may your traits serve me well."

She didn’t want a fight. She wanted a harvest. Hovering in the center of the swarm, she summoned the dark, oily energy of the Demonic Ogre buried deep in her soul.

Maddy’s jaw unhinged, her entire chest splitting apart to reveal a swirling, pitch black vortex of gravity. A terrifying, abyssal maw larger than her entire body erupted into the air.

The gravity was irresistible. The mosquitoes that flapped toward her were instantly drawn in, unable to resist. Others tried to flee, beating their wings frantically, but even they were pulled backward, sucked into the dark void of her mouth.

The sound was like a giant vacuum cleaner made of nightmares. All the mosquitoes, and even loose rocks were swallowed whole into the darkness.

In less than a minute, the buzzing stopped. The room was deathly silent. Maddy snapped her chest back together and landed lightly on the floor, letting out a small, satisfied breath.

"That... was efficient. My mouth is a hell of a sucker! BURRRPPP!!!"
