The next day, when Shawn walked out of the room, a divine glint flowed in his eyes, and in his palm, a mass of gray clay writhed. It had a part cut out, but the remainder swiftly divided and returned to its original size.

——Gray Soil [Legendary Sealed Object]; this mass from the Dust Plane can continuously regenerate and divide itself. The divided part, once petrified, can be shaped into any form desired. Such special stone is regarded as a magic material with hardness equal to steel and excellent magic power conduction properties. Using it to create statue creatures, clay golems, stone golems, and other mechanical bodies results in an automatic granting of robustness (mechanical body), damage reduction (refined gold), power enhancement (extra +4), and extra specialization in magic resistance.

This sealed object is meant for the creation of golems.

It can be used to control any stone-type creatures, essentially acting as a domination skill, causing a pollution effect on all golems.

"Can it control the stone giant outside?"

Shawn immediately thought of the giant stone guardians outside Candlefort, three stone giants, three iron giants. Iron giants are out of the question, but stone giants might be possible. Unable to gain control of Candlefort forcibly, domination would likely only allow manipulation for a short period.

"Could control over the stone giants block the iron giants from outside?"

"So others can charge straight in and directly attack the interior of Candlefort."

Shawn pondered silently, "I should discuss this with my teacher if there’s a chance."

If the giant legion outside Candlefort could be bypassed, the difficulty of conquering Candlefort would sharply decrease.

Everyone else had already arrived in the hall.

Shawn nodded towards the others, several reconnaissance demon eyes appeared in his palm, and after confirming there were no issues outside, he was the first to step out of the mage mansion.

Shawn appeared at his original location within the glow of the secret portal.

It seemed the balance of Candlefort had been maintained for a long time, and other evil objects wouldn’t easily intrude on another’s domain.

After walking out of the storeroom door, Shawn signaled the others to wait a moment. He had digested the monster’s extraordinary relic the previous night, and after acquiring the ability of the Child of Slaughter, Shawn could digest extraordinary relics much more swiftly.

Perhaps because they had been killed once, each living statue’s challenge level had dropped by one, and their shackled intelligence had restored slightly; however, these creatures had been dead for too long, and many memories had been completely forgotten.

"You can control them now?" Quinn-To asked in shock.

Shawn nodded slightly and said, "Yes, they will come in handy next."

Shawn could control all the surrounding living statues in the storage area, but those statues only had challenge levels of 7-8, so they weren’t very useful to him, thus he only chose these three living administrators.

Though their casting ability from before remained, it had been significantly weakened, and it’s uncertain if Lady Hecate could help them regain a bit of their consciousness.

The side of the storage area led directly to the reading room.

Seeing images hung in the corridor ahead, Shawn realized he had entered another ’nameless delusion’ territory.

Each region of Candlefort distinctly separates itself, often presenting different characteristics due to varying dominant evil objects.

The group entered into the corridor.

In the next moment.

Everything around began to change; the laws of reality twisted, and what they saw turned into an ink-like color palette; even the ground resembled a splash ink landscape painting.

"Detected abnormal space fluctuation! You have entered [World in the Painting]!"

"Detected unknown domain interfering with the laws of reality!"

"This area is dimension locked."

In an instant, Shawn perceived all teleportation spells had become void.

Different from the previous nameless delusion, the evil object here was distinctly more adept at space law, directly twisting the reading room’s dimension domain, connecting it with the painted realm it had created.
