After their deaths, Andrew had to focus on what he had decided to do. Finishing medical school and becoming a doctor. Andrew hadn’t fully decided on a specialisation, but he did eventually decide that he wanted to focus on pediatrics, but that he also wanted his own office. He wanted his own practise, somewhere that others could relax, without the hum of hospital lights and the fear that drove some people.

Maxwell thought that was a great idea, since Andrew was so good with kids and most kids gravitated towards him. Andrew was grateful that Maxwell supported him fully in this, but they did have to have a hard conversation. Andrew was going to have to focus on his residency, and while it aligned with the twins going into school and daycare, he didn’t want to burden Maxwell again until he was done with school.

So, Maxwell and Andrew collectively decided that after the twins, they needed to be careful when it came to sex. Maxwell was busy with his career, and Andrew was focused on being a good father and also finishing his schooling.

Which was why they had only managed to fall pregnant again by accident, and after Andrew had finished his residency. It was by complete luck on Andrew’s part, and it was only made worse when Andrew considered how much strain it would put on Maxwell’s body now that he was older.

Maxwell, however, seemed rather calm after he found out he was pregnant again. It had started much in the same way as the first pregnancy had, only he didn’t crave the same foods that Andrew liked.

He craved spicy, melt your mouth off foods that made Andrew thought he was going to die when he ate a bite or even sniffed what Maxwell was eating. Andrew grabbed the pregnancy tests right away when it came to it, since it had happened by accident during one of their combined heat and ruts.

Their Doctor, the same woman who had helped Andrew and Maxwell through their first pregnancy, was happy that they had decided to have another child and that Maxwell was in perfect health and everything seemed to be going along smoothly.

It was only 6 months in that Maxwell admitted it hadn’t been an accident in the slightest and that he had planned it down almost to the day. They were older now, their heats and ruts more controlled with age and Maxwell wasn’t getting any younger, like Andrew worried.

It was Maxwell’s time to step up and be the father that Andrew needed him to be. He had enough people he trusted working for him, the company practically ran itself, and Ellis wasn’t pregnant this time.

Maxwell was ready, and so was Andrew.

Andrew did pout for a few days, the twins noticing that their Papa was more teary-eyed than normal, but their Dad told them that he was fine, just worried for their Dad’s sake. The twins had easily forgiven him then. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

They hadn’t been on this earth for long, but they did know that their Papa was a bit of a cry-baby.

Thankfully, this pregnancy wasn’t a set of twins, just one baby, and everyone was excited that they were having another child. Kim had joked that she had always seen Andrew as having a gaggle of children, but when she brought that up, Andrew had snapped that she better watch out. She might become a grandma soon.

That had shut Kim up.

Little baby Leo had been mated before graduation, all thanks to the fact that him and his best friend couldn’t resist each other. They were, adorably, fated mates. They had confessed that their heat and rut had linked up and that they had done their best to resist each other, but there was no way that they could do it any longer.

They loved each other, and they were not going to hide it anymore.

The poor girl had looked stricken, like she had done something unimaginably terrible to Leo. Especially when she came over with Leo to beg forgiveness from Kim and Jenny. She didn’t know the full story of how Kim and Jenny got together, but neither did Leo.

They didn’t know that there was no way that Kim and Jenny would turn them away, especially since Kim had to fight so hard for her own parents to let Jenny into her life, and even then, they were still mean to her and tried to hurt Leo and Alyssa.

If anything, the newly mated couple should have been more worried about big brother Andrew. He was the one who asked the hard questions, like if they used protection, if they had done the proper aftercare, if they were prepared for what this meant.

It wasn’t just sweetness and love, it was going to be an uphill battle. People were going to judge them for mating so young and if they were prepared for what others could say about them, to their faces, and if she, specifically, was prepared for what people were going to say about Leo?

Leo had been appalled to hear all of this from Andrew since he had never seen this side of him, but Kim and Jenny were smirking to themselves.

He was in full Dad mode, not even big brother, because if there was one thing that Andrew would always be, he was an omega supporter through and through. He didn’t have to worry though. Leo’s mate, his best friend since childhood was always going to have Leo’s back.

She answered every question, admitted that they hadn’t used protection but she was prepared for any outcome. Nothing would make her love Leo less, and even if they had a child right now, she would do anything to support them. She’d get a job, anything.

Andrew had lectured her about that too, saying that while it was admirable for her to want to protect him, she was a ’damn kid’ and she should learn to rely on the adults first.

It wasn’t like this was their first rodeo.

That was when Andrew told Leo about who he’d come to be, and why he was so serious about this situation, and that no matter what came from this, there was not a world where he was going to blame either one of them for this. Nor was Kim or Jenny. Andrew just wanted them to be prepared for what the world would think, or could think.

The girl had ended up hugging Andrew, surprised at his kindness since even her parents had lectured her for being irresponsible. Andrew had just shrugged.

Hormones were a hell of a drug, and since Andrew had become a true alpha later in life, he could only begin to imagine what that was like on a younger mind.

They got married a year later in a small, but lovely ceremony. Thankfully Leo hadn’t gotten pregnant and they had been far more careful after that. They wanted to grow together first before they even considered bringing children into this. They wanted to go to school, get degrees and make sure that they had a home ready for kids first before they brought them into the world.

He was a good kid, a smart kid, and thankfully, Kim and Jenny didn’t become grandparents in the last decade.

Not for Alyssa’s lack of trying.

The girl was a charmer. She was determined to follow in her Mom’s footsteps and take over the A & D Firm. That meant going to school for accounting so that she had the basic understanding of what that would mean for her, while also learning the ropes from both of her Mom’s.

In the process of that, it felt like Alyssa used her charms on anyone that looked at her. With just a wink from her pretty blue eyes, Alyssa had anyone and everyone in her bed. Several very famous celebrities got caught with her and Alyssa just brushed it off, all smiles.

Andrew had worried that he was going to have to have a talk with her, but she came to both him and Kim separately, and even Noah, but that came at a later date.

Alyssa didn’t feel like she fit quite right into the regular alpha role. Like Andrew and Kim, she didn’t feel like it fit her quite right. She loved people, loved being with them, around them, touching them and smelling them, but she didn’t get the urge to settle down with just one person. She worried that she was broken.

This was relatively shortly after Andrew’s conversation with Michael, so Andrew asked her if she felt romantically attracted to people, sexually attracted, kind of went down the list with her without judgement. Alyssa said that she had felt romantic attraction to people, at least she thought she did, but she knew that she felt sexual attraction to people for sure. She wanted to sleep with people, wanted to be intimate with them.

She just felt like she was broken when she wasn’t like Kim and Andrew. She knew that she wanted what they had, that she was supposed to want what they had, but she just...couldn’t settle down.

That was when Andrew brought up the idea that she needed to talk to a professional about her feelings and that there was no shame in doing so. They might be able to help her work through her feelings better than speaking to Andrew or her Mom could, but she should also speak to her Uncle Noah.

He was more of a ’classic’ true alpha, but a respectable one. He had two partners, could have had more if that was something that he and his partners agreed upon but he was happy. He gave love and received love from more than one person, and Andrew didn’t see anything wrong with that as long as everyone was consenting.

Alyssa sat with those words. She knew Noah, had grown up with him over the years that had passed, but she hadn’t really registered who he was or what his relationship was like. She had just always accepted it for what it was. A loving relationship between people who loved each other.

It was then that Andrew, Alyssa, and Kim realised that those times that she had spent with Kim’s parents had really left their mark on her. She was in therapy the next week, and it was about a month after their conversation that Alyssa worked up the courage to speak to Noah about his life and how he lived it.

Alyssa and Noah grew really close after that, like cousins, and they weren’t actually that far in age, honestly. She hadn’t found something that fit her quite right, and she was still on a tear through the town, but all of her lovers left with smiles on their faces without a bad word to say about her.

They felt her affection, knew exactly what they were getting themselves into. A complete turn around from the first time she was going on a tear. Kim had worried that she was going to wake up to a phone call in the middle of the night because Alyssa had been stabbed by a scorned lover.

Andrew was just glad to see that everyone was growing, moving, and aging but in healthy ways. Even his enemies.

After all, Noah was the one who found out that their grandfather had passed away. Andrew, Nicole and Noah had poured one out, and then lit the newspapers on fire in celebration.

The evil one was dead, and it turned out that Maxwell’s ’family’ was the one who had done it. A silent way to thank Thomas for all that he had done, and his father’s last loving message to his son. Andrew knew that he had a complicated relationship with his father, but Thomas...his was one for the ages.
