[BL] CRAVING HIM: Addicted to His Voice-Chapter 307: Clingy Lovers & Annoying Friends
~Zayn’s POV~
I heard a sleepy murmur against my chest. "I love you more, Zayn."
I sat there, holding him while he slept peacefully. It was a little past mid-afternoon when Evric finally stirred and woke up. He looked immensely better, refreshed and energized. He used the next hour to quickly round up the most urgent parts of his work, dictating quick notes and sending a few emails.
While Evric slept, Nantam sent me a text: Hey! We’re coming to your place tonight. Dean, Nicki, and I are hanging out at your place later. Hope that’s cool!
I smiled and quickly texted back: Zayn: Sure. See you later!
I waited until Evric finished wrapping up his remaining work. When he finally put his laptop away, I turned to him. "Baby, my friends are coming over later tonight."
"Oh, okay," Evric said easily. "That’s fine."
Once he was done, he packed up his things and we walked down to the waiting car. The driver pulled away, heading towards my house.
When Evric’s driver finally pulled up outside my house, Evric didn’t move. He became impossibly clingy, turning sideways in his seat, wrapping his arms around me, and burying his face in my neck.
"Stay," he mumbled into my collarbone. "Just stay here with me."
"Evric, I’m already home," I laughed, trying to gently pull away.
He tightened his grip. "No. I mean, let me stay here. I want to spend the night with you."
My heart gave a delighted flutter. "You’re serious?"
He lifted his head, his eyes earnest. "Very serious. I want to wake up next to you."
"Then stay, baby," I said simply. "You can pass the night here."
He brightened immediately. He leaned in for a grateful kiss. "Thank you, my love."
I reminded him, "My friends are coming around, remember? Dean, Nantam, and Nicki. I hope you don’t mind the chaos."
He kissed me again, a longer, deeper kiss this time, his reassurance sinking into my bones. "It’s okay. Any place with you is where I want to be."
We got out of the car, Evric’s arm wrapped firmly around my waist as we walked inside my house. It felt secure, grounded, and utterly right.
"You realize you’ll be the one to bring a car here tomorrow," I teased him gently.
He smiled, kissing my shoulder. "That’s not a problem, baby," he said.
I told him, "Because you have this habit of making me drive myself to you, leave my car there, and then you’re the one who drives me back."
He pressed a soft kiss against my back. "Isn’t that a good thing? It means I want you more than anything, baby. I always want you by my side."
I squeezed his hand. "It’s good, and I always want to be beside you."
Then Evric’s tone grew serious, filled with anticipation. "I can’t wait for us to be officially married."
"Oh? What exactly happens after we get married?" I asked, enjoying the fantasy look on his face.
He squeezed me possessively. "A lot. I will always be with you, wake up next to you, have sex before bed and sex in the morning, and you will prepare my breakfast, lunch, and dinner."
I pulled away to look at him, feigning horror. "That’s too much! I don’t think I want to marry you after hearing all that. You sound like a tyrant."
He laughed heartily, a wonderful, rich sound. "Okay, baby, don’t worry about the chores, the maid will do it. But sex before bed and sex in the morning is non-negotiable and very important after we get married."
"No," I insisted, shaking my head dramatically. "I’m rejecting the marriage because of that exactly. It will be too much!"
His eyes widened in mock panic. "Fine, fine! We won’t have sex! Then I will only kiss you. Just kiss you."
I smiled, unable to hide my amusement as I helped him shrug off his jacket.
He repeated himself, stepping closer to ensure I heard his revised terms. "We won’t have sex. We will only kiss before bed and kiss in the morning. Is that okay?"
I just smiled, saying nothing, enjoying his desperation
"Please, don’t reject the marriage," he begged, his voice laced with playful urgency. "I will only kiss you and not touch you."
"I will think about it," I said, finally turning to walk toward the bedroom.
He followed me instantly, his hands immediately finding my waist. "Baby!"
"Yes, love?" I answered, looking back at him over my shoulder.
"You are not refusing to marry me anymore, right?"
"I just told you I will think about it," I repeated, trying to maintain the tease.
He didn’t hesitate. He tickled me fiercely around the ribs, causing me to gasp and struggle. "Tell me now! Tell me!"
"Stop! Stop!" I shrieked. We tumbled backward, a playful chaos of limbs and laughter, until my back landed softly on the bed, and Evric instantly climbed on top of me, pinning me with his weight.
"Please, baby, tell me," he whispered, his face close to mine, all the playfulness gone, replaced by earnest longing.
My heart melted. I reached up and cupped his face. "What part of you makes you forget the fact that I already have your ring in my hand? Of course, I will marry you."
He rested his forehead against mine, his expression suddenly vulnerable. "You might have my ring, but since we haven’t officially registered our marriage, I still get scared. Because it’s just a ring, you can remove it anytime. But after our marriage is fully registered and you move in full-time to my house... that’s when I know I have fully secured you."
I kissed him deeply, reassuring him completely. "I’m already yours, love. And I’m not going anywhere."
He blushed, a handsome, sweet flush rising on his cheeks. "Thank you, baby."
"You are welcome, love."
Then, he kissed me. It was a hot, consuming kiss that deepened instantly, ready to go for much more than just a cuddle. Evric was ready to prove his love again, right then and there, when the doorbell rang loudly.
Ding-dong!
Evric didn’t pull away. He only deepened the kiss. "Ignore it," he mumbled against my mouth.
I smiled, still kissing him back, but my hands were gently pushing against his chest. "Baby, we have the whole night."
"But I’m in the mood," he whined, not letting up.
"Please," I begged, using my puppy-dog eyes, "let me go and open the door. You know I told you before: I will do anything you want after they leave."
He pulled his mouth away, breathing hard, his dark eyes blazing with desire. He nodded, resigned. "Okay."
"I’m sorry," I whispered, kissing his chin quickly.
"It’s okay, baby," he said, sighing dramatically as he rolled onto his back. "Go get the door."
I stood up, adjusted my shirt, and smoothed down my hair before heading to the door.
The moment I opened it, Dean marched in, slightly frantic. "What took you forever? We were standing out here for twenty minutes!"
I closed the door behind them. "You’re not blind, are you? You could see my man’s car outside." I puffed out my chest a little. "My fiancé is around."
Dean immediately turned to Nantam, throwing his hands up in theatrical despair. "I told you! I knew I would regret coming! Blah, blah, your fiancé... tueh!" he scoffed, waving his hand dismissively.
I replied, "Pain is that you? You sound miserable."
He stopped and dramatically shouted, "I’m not in pain! Because I’m not single anymore, thank you very much!"
I stopped dead in my tracks. "Wow! Dean! Tell me, now!"
