[BL] Mr. Romano Contracted Husband-Chapter 127: Two Different Mornings In Two Different Houses
A few days after the school trip, Arcane returned to teaching mathematics at the high school where he worked as usual. Everything went smoothly as usual, and Julian even began to smile again after his mind had been in turmoil, thinking that Arcane was cheating on him.
However, several nights of making love at Arcane’s request to prove that he only had feelings for Julian made Julian realize that her husband was indeed not interested in anyone but him.
Despite feeling exhausted when morning came because Arcane had drained him.
Julian, exhausted after their long night, woke up from his sleep and felt around his bed. Only to find that his husband was no longer beside him.
"Arcane?" He called out, but there was no answer. When he opened his eyes, the man was indeed no longer beside him.
"Where is he?" He asked as he reached for his phone to check the time.
And that’s when he was shocked to see that it was already 7:10 a.m. He was supposed to wake up earlier to make breakfast.
"Damn, I’m late!" Julian immediately kicked off the blanket covering his body, jumped out of bed, and ran to the kitchen.
He knew Arcane must have started cooking breakfast first, and sure enough, the red-haired man was already there, placing plates with their freshly cooked breakfast on the table. Noticing his presence, Arcane turned around. So did their daughter, who was already sitting in her seat, rubbing her eyes.
"Papa? Why did you wake up so late today? Are you sick?" she asked curiously when she saw Julian looking disheveled, especially with his pajamas unbuttoned.
Especially after realizing that his body was covered with bite marks from Arcane. He reflexively covered his body with his pajamas.
"Papa... Papa is fine! Uhh-"
"What is that? Why does Papa’s body have so many red marks? Were there a lot of mosquitoes last night?" Luna asked innocently when she saw the red marks covering her father’s body.
Julian’s face turned bright red when Luna saw it, especially Arcane, who immediately shook his head.
"Uhhh this— This is just... This is something embarrassing. And..."
"Embarrassing? Why is it embarrassing?" she asked again.
Luna, who didn’t understand anything, immediately turned to her Daddy and asked the same question.
"What’s wrong with Papa’s body? Is he sick?"
"Papa is fine. Red marks are normal for adults. For now, you don’t need to ask about the marks on your Papa’s body. One day, you will understand." Arcane replied softly while stroking her head.
"Now eat your breakfast and then you can watch your favorite cartoons." He continued his sentence, which Luna answered with a nod.
Not understanding anything, she just followed what her daddy told her and started eating her breakfast.
For a moment, this made Julian feel calm because Luna was no longer asking about the marks on his body. He sat in his chair watching his daughter eat her breakfast.
Arcane placed Julian’s breakfast plate right in front of him. "You also need breakfast to replenish your energy that was drained last night."
He said this casually, causing Julian to immediately turn sharply towards him with a red face. He would have glared if it had been the man’s fault. Arcane just laughed and ruffled his husband’s hair, then sat down at the table and enjoyed his breakfast before heading off to work.
After finishing breakfast, Julian cleaned the plates and the table. Since Arcane had made breakfast, he would wash the dishes.
"There will be a teachers’ meeting after school today. So I might be home late, that is, if they don’t invite me out for drinks. Is that okay with you? If you don’t allow it, I’ll go straight home after the teachers’ meeting," said Arcane.
It was unusual for him to ask Julian for permission first. Usually, Arcane would just tell him that he was going out with the teachers after the meeting. Now he was asking for permission first, and if Julian didn’t allow it, he would go home immediately.
"I don’t mind. I can make dinner just for me and Luna. You also need to spend time with your fellow teachers," he replied.
He knew he couldn’t stop Arcane from going, because this was surely one of the ways for him to get closer to the other teachers. Julian was also sure that if Arcane went out for drinks with the others, Donald would definitely be there too.
"Alright. Then I have to go now."
Arcane kissed Julian on the lips and then kissed Luna on the forehead before finally leaving the house wearing his coat. He walked to the school where he taught as usual.
While Arcane felt so peaceful with his small family in the morning, Kyle, on the other hand, felt increasingly lonely and distant from his husband, Ethan.
His married life felt increasingly cold, they could even say they were no longer a couple but simply two people living under the same roof.
"I won’t be home tonight. I’ll be focusing on the night shift for the next few days. So you don’t need to cook dinner for me," Ethan said as they were eating dinner.
Hearing this, Kyle felt that the distance between them was growing. When he had to leave in the morning until the afternoon to teach, Ethan was home alone. And when he came home, his husband was leaving for work.
They seemed to have no time to see each other except at breakfast.
"Why have you been taking night shifts lately? Why can’t you take a job in the morning and spend the evening with me?" he asked.
Without looking up from his breakfast plate, Ethan replied that it was easier to work at night because it wasn’t as hot. He wasn’t sure he could take the morning shift because many of the workers wanted to take the morning shift too.
"Plus, the night shift pays more than the morning shift," he answered.
Even though it had been explained like that, Kyle felt that his husband was just avoiding him. Avoiding him so that they wouldn’t see each other for long except in the morning. This made him feel so hurt, lonely, and completely ignored.
Without finishing his breakfast, the white-haired man stood up from his seat and picked up his work bag.
"Then I have to go. Just put the plate in the sink and I’ll wash it when I get home from school."
He left the house, leaving his husband sitting silently at the dining table without a hug or a morning kiss between them.
Holding back her pain and disappointment, Kyle walked to school and right in front of the school gate he saw a man who made his sadness disappear instantly.
A man in a long black coat and red hair turned to Kyle, who happened to be standing before him. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
A smile began to appear on Kyle’s face as he walked toward him and greeted him as if nothing had happened before.
"Good morning, Arcane."
