But what shocked the people was the fact that Emperor Kaiden had ignored everything and entered with Shuu anyway. His strong gaze and unwavering eyes refused to look at anyone who was not Shuu.

"It looks like Emperor Kaiden has declared his intentions to us. What else is there to even think about?"

"Still, should we not wait and see a little bit more? The prophecy changed too suddenly, and we still don’t know what might happen..."

"Canarie, behave yourself for some time. I will go and join my fiancé at his table. You can do that much, right?"

Princess Danielle asked as she stood up. But Canarie immediately grabbed her arm and gave her a pitiful glance.

"I... don’t leave me alone here. I want to come with you as well. Can’t I?"

She asked, and there was a sudden silence around the room. Everyone looked at the Emperor and Princess Danielle for their decisions.

Lady Canarie was causing a scene, and it was not a good thing. For now, she still had public support because they did not know about her current standing.

But if she were to get ignored by Emperor Kaiden, then...

’This stupid girl... I am trying to help her out, and she is not helping. I better coax her quickly before she causes a problem for me...’

Danielle sighed and put her hand on Lady Canarie’s shoulder.

"Canarie, that table is-"

"This is not right! I am a companion as well, so I should get to sit at the main table as well. Why do I have to sit all the way in the back?"

The speaker this time was Lady Elysia. She had an irritated look on her face as she pointed out her standing.

Unlike Lady Canarie (who was sitting near the front), Lady Elysia was seated in the back. It was easy to see the blatant favoritism as well as the divide in the imperial palace.

Everyone looked at Princess Danielle next to see what she would say. But before she could regulate the situation, Emperor Kaiden spoke up.

"You are right. This is unfair to both you and Lady Canarie to be seated in different places. So Lady Canarie, won’t you go to Lady Elysia and join her at her table? That would make her feel much less lonely."

Emperor Kaiden’s words made the pair freeze. They looked at each other and then at the Emperor in disbelief.

Canarie even looked at Princess Danielle for help, but at this point, there was nothing Danielle could do to help her out either.

In the end, Canarie joined Elysia at the back table, and everyone understood the meaning behind this action.

The Emperor was openly telling everyone that he did not care about the change in prophecy and such. He was not going to change his mind about Shuu at any cost.
