It was inching closer to the evening, and slowly, students began to storm out of the schools and head back home.

She then, out of habit, walked straight to the doorsteps of her apartment and only noticed it when they arrived there.

"This is my place..."

She said and turned to Fang Raon, who was looking back at her, and there was a twinkle in his eyes that made her heart skip a beat.

"...My mom is at home."

Chaewon said with disappointment.

If she weren’t there, she would’ve invited Fang Raon inside, and who knows what could’ve happened.

"Mmh, I understand. I also still have some stuff left to do back at home, so I should probably get going."

Fang Raon said.

"Okay."

Chaewon said and then slowly approached him and was about to give him a little hug, but then the door opened behind her.

"Chaewon? What are you standing outside for? Did you forget your keys?"

Chaewon flinched, turned quickly around, and saw a gentle-faced woman open the door wide open.

Her mother, Yerin, stood at the doorway and looked at her daughter and then looked at the young man behind her.

"Oh my... Who is this?"

Yerin asked with a smile.

"Mother... This is Fang Raon, the person I’ve been taking care of lately. He got better and was just discharged..."

Chaewon said nervously.

She felt as if she was introducing her boyfriend to her mother, and she knew what kind of person her mother was.

She was only hoping that she wasn’t going to embarrass her!

"Ah... This is the young man I’ve been hearing so much about... Why are you making him stay outside? Bring him in for a coffee!"

Yerin said with a smile.

"Mom..."

Chaewon said, sounding defeated, and she then turned to Fang Raon and asked, "Sorry about my mom... Want to come in?"

Fang Raon said in awe.

He thought that this place could be from one of those decoration magazines that show different apartment design styles.

It was obvious that whoever designed this place put a lot of thought and effort into it.

"Thank you, young man. It wasn’t that good like ten years ago, but then one day, I decided it was time for a change, and I completely renovated the place."

Yerin said with a smile, and at that moment, the coffee finished brewing, and she poured it into three different cups.

"The coffee is ready~"

Yerin asked Fang Raon particularly because she already knew that Chaewon liked a lot of milk in hers.

Fang Raon said, and Yerin poured some milk into his coffee. Just a little bit to change the color from dark brown to a light beige.

Yerin smiled and nodded, and they then drank their coffee. It was, however, getting quite late.

Chaewon jumped up from her seat, walked him to the front door, and watched him put on his shoes.

Chaewon said, and then quickly hugged Fang Raon, and he accepted the hug after a brief surprise.

"I’ll be waiting then."

Fang Raon said with a smile, opened the door, and stepped out, and the door behind him closed quietly.

Chaewon kept staring for a while at the closed door.

"Remember condoms, my dear daughter."

Yerin said from over the living room.

"MOM, STOP IT!"
