Black Online-Chapter 150: Cameraman Raon
Fang Raon and Della stepped out of a Tower Door, and appeared on a road—walls of trees on both sides—and the sky was dark even though it was supposed to be morning.
The door behind them disappeared.
"This is the 9th floor. Players call it Haunted Floor. I am sure you’re experienced with this floor, but I don’t know how long you were here."
Della said.
"Not long. Poppy and Abigail really hated scary things, so for their sake, we basically speedran this floor. I don’t think we spent even an hour in here."
Fang Raon said.
However, he didn’t know that this floor was forever shrouded at nighttime and saw that there was a crimson moon in the sky!
"Why have we come here?"
Fang Raon then decided to ask.
He knew that it was some kind of event among players, but he didn’t quite know what kind of an event.
"We’re here to search for the legendary Wailing Widow. It is a legendary being among players. It is a new viral trend that players come here to look for her.
"A couple players had managed to capture the Wailing Widow in a video—barely though—so I was hoping that maybe I could catch her in a stream!"
Della said with a smile.
She then pulled out the streaming camera, fiddled with something on it, and then handed it over to Fang Raon.
"I’ll tell you when I go live. You just hold it and point it at me. You can also see the chat interface while holding the camera."
Della said.
"Yeah, I see..."
While holding the camera, Fang Raon saw another interface pop up—it was basically a chat window—but it was currently empty with no messages by anyone.
It was because Della wasn’t live yet, so there was nobody talking in her chat.
"Are you ready?" 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Della asked with a smile.
’I am actually starting to feel kind of nervous. She has tens of thousands of people watching her streams. I hope I don’t fuck this up.’
Fang Raon nodded.
In that moment, Della pressed the "Go Live" button, and Fang Raon noticed the light on the camera turning green.
In the corner of his eyes, he noticed the first couple messages pop up in the chat, and short few seconds later, messages were flooding the chat.
"Hello, everyone~"
Della cutely waved to the camera.
The view count was increasing drastically.
She was waiting for more people to enter the stream before she started the intro properly and explained to them what they were doing on this floor.
[MasterWay43: Welcome back, Della!]
[Septar: Congratulations for the Guild War! What exactly happened??]
[HatefulSword: As beautiful as ever <3<3<3]
[MrPantastic: You’re on the 9th floor? Are you perhaps on the hunt for the Wailing Widow?!]
"Hehe, hello everyone. I see in the chat already that some of you already know where I am at, and yes, I am on the 9th floor.
"We’re going to look for... the Wailing Widow!"
Della said with a smile.
The chat exploded with comments. They were excited. It was something that had gone completely viral on the Internet.
Many streamers were coming to the 9th floor just to try to find the legendary Wailing Widow.
"There is also a change to the stream today. I don’t have Miranda with me today. Thus, I brought someone else!"
Della smiled, then pulled on Fang Raon’s arm and showed him to the stream—he even looked surprised by it.
’I didn’t know I was also going to be in the stream!’
He quickly collected himself, wryly smiled, and said, "Hello," to the stream, and then escaped behind the camera once again.
[OgardTheDwarf: Who is he??]
[DrakeCentral: A man? Who is he to you?]
[SnoozeDeedle: I have never seen him before. A new guild member?]
"He is Fang Raon, a new team leader of the fourth line. Be nice to him, guys, please. He is very shy."
Della giggled.
And the chat just went, "Ok!" with cute emojis of smiling faces and hearts.
"I know there are a lot of players on the 9th floor right now, so I have thought about starting our search from the Saint Jonathan’s Cemetery and then go from there!
"I don’t want to go to the haunted places because every other player have already gone there."
Della said with a smile, then turned around, and started walking to the forest, "Follow me," she said confidently.
Fang Raon carried the camera and followed her into the forest.
He had to be very careful with the camera so that it wouldn’t shake so much. He didn’t want to give a bad viewing experience to the viewers.
They soon arrived at the cemetery.
It had many gravestones shrouded in a mist. The cemetery was surrounded by a black iron fence with ornate, twisted designs at the top.
"It’s very creepy."
Della shuddered and wrapped her arms around herself.
She looked quite vulnerable. It made the viewers feel bad for her, and they wanted badly to comfort her.
’These are pretty cool fences.’
Meanwhile, Fang Raon thought and touched the fence, but it was surprisingly cold to the touch.
It was like he had just touched a frozen pole in the dead of winter, and if he tried licking the fence, he was sure that his tongue would stick to it.
"..."
At that moment, Della turned around with a pout and kicked Fang Raon in the shin—it wasn’t a hard kick, but it was enough to make him flinch.
"Aren’t you going to comfort me? A cute girl like me feeling scared. You’re such a doofus, Raon, hmph!"
Della crossed her arms.
"...I was supposed to?"
Fang Raon scratched the back of his head, feeling a little awkward, and then Della kicked him again.
The chat just laughed.
It was common for Della to play around a bit. She did it often. With strangers, and sometimes even with people she’d known for years.
Thus, the chat thought that she was just joking around, but she was actually pouting with disappointment.
’Oh, it was a joke?’
Fang Raon looked at the chat, and scratched the back of his head.
’If I want to be successful as a streamer, I need to start reading the room better. I guess my reaction gave a good comedic reaction, so there is that.
’Comedy is good. It’ll make the chat go active.’
He engraved all of it inside his mind to make sure that he wouldn’t forget about these important lessons.
