Bleach: The Strongest Shinigami-Chapter 219 ⥤ A Man of Great Spirit Lives Between Heaven and Earth
Chapter 219 - 219 ⥤ A Man of Great Spirit Lives Between Heaven and Earth
"Don't be nervous." Jugram's gentle voice rang out, "This is His Majesty's power, granting you new abilities through soul inscription. Most members of the Sternritter..."
Before he could finish speaking, a sudden change occurred in the empty room.
The azure pillar of light contracted, and within it bloomed a pure blackness, spreading like a virus, instantly contaminating the entire column. The azure light was devoured by ink-black darkness.
Jugram's brows furrowed, his blood-red eyes fixed intently on the pillar before him.
⤫ Schrift: A ⥤ Sacred Letter: The Almighty! ⤬
As a Quincy who shared Yhwach's power to grant abilities, he was considered Yhwach's "other half". During His Majesty's slumber, they would exchange the Schrift { A } - The Almighty.
Thus, Jugram could briefly glimpse the future. Though this ability was now severely limited for various reasons, it remained adequate for the current situation.
Wait... What is this?!
His eyes widened in disbelief.
In the vision, an indistinct dark figure pointed one hand to heaven and one to earth, letting out a cackling laugh, about to speak.
Countless snowflakes appeared as the image blurred with static noise. The next moment, his vision returned to reality.
As Jugram pondered the meaning of that scene, an overwhelmingly powerful Reiatsu erupted from within the churning black pillar of light.
The air grew heavy, the tower groaned under the strain, and dust showered down from the walls and ceiling as the building trembled.
His expression shifted as a Quincy Cross appeared in his palm, Reishi gathering to form an elegant sword. A giant scale materialized above him, ready for any emergency.
The heavy Reiatsu continued to build into an abnormal spiritual storm. Walls collapsed, the roof shattered, and the tower began to crumble.
The terrifying spiritual storm swept across the Wandenreich, cascading down with crushing pressure like a flood bursting through a dam.
Half the Wandenreich fell into dead silence, countless bewildered gazes turning toward the First Tower in Silbern.
The vast waves crashed against everyone's senses, making them feel like tiny boats on an endless ocean, at risk of shattering at any moment.
"That's the Reiatsu of that Senju kid!"
Some Quincy recognized Akira's Reiatsu fluctuations.
"And the other Reiatsu is..."
Before they could finish speaking, a giant scale materialized above the crumbling tower, bestowing fortune and instantly stabilizing the swaying structure.
"Lord Haschwalth!"
Everyone's eyes widened in surprise.

"What exactly happened?!"
"Could it be that Hashirama Senju is fighting with Lord Haschwalth?"
"Damn it, is this what you call loyalty?!"
The Quincy were not afraid of death. When the tidal wave of Reiatsu descended, they rushed toward the First Tower without hesitation.
But the Reiatsu wave came and went quickly. By the time they arrived, everything had returned to normal — except for the swaying, dust-filled tower.
Before they could enter, Jugram's voice came from inside:
"Disperse, it was just an accident. Everything has returned to normal."
The Quincy looked at each other in confusion but ultimately followed orders and left.
Only Bazz-B, before leaving, cast a complex look at the cracked First Tower.
For some reason, seeing this scene, he suddenly recalled Tsukiaki's words from two days ago: "So-called gods are just slightly stronger humans."
They too can bleed, they too can die...

Inside the tower, azure light patterns enveloped the room, stabilizing the nearly collapsing building.
The black pillar of light had receded, and Akirai's figure appeared in Jugram's line of sight.
He looked no different than before.
The bestowal of Schrift doesn't change one's appearance — the bizarre looks of most Sternritter members are purely due to personal aesthetic choices.
However, Jugram now had a question in mind.
As Yhwach's other half, he understood well the principles of Schrifts: by directly inscribing "letters" onto a Quincy's soul, one could bestow stronger, more profound power to another.
There were typically two methods: the Sternritter bestowal like now, and drinking Yhwach's blood — called the Engraving Ritual. Strictly speaking, both belonged to the same category.
But here came the key question — he hadn't yet bestowed a soul to Hashirama through the Sternritter method, so where did this fellow's Schrift come from?
Jugram fell into deep thought. He hesitated whether to wake Yhwach to inquire about the reason.
"Lord Haschwalth!" Akiraa spread his hands, saying excitedly, "I'm invincible now! Even Genryūsai Yamamoto, our Wandenreich's greatest enemy, I could obliterate him with one punch!"
Hearing this form of address, Jugram immediately abandoned his previous thought.
This kid's mind was somewhat... not quite right.
Though there were similar cases among the Sternritter. Gerard Valkyrie, Schrift { M }, The Miracle, and Pernida Parnkgjas, Schrift { C }, The Compulsory, of the Schutzstaffel.
As the Heart of the Soul King and the Left Arm of the Soul King respectively, they possessed fearsome powers beyond ordinary Quincy without needing soul bestowal.
Yhwach had merely imitated their abilities in Schrift form before granting them. In essence, they were simply manifesting powers they already possessed.
"What is your Schrift?" Jugram pulled back his wandering thoughts and refocused his gaze on the strange kid.
In his view, a young Quincy with such potential was already a pillar of the empire. With proper training, he would surely become one of their strongest forces against Soul Society.
For His Majesty's great cause, it was worth the effort.
"Schrift W, The World!" Akira stood straight, hands at his sides with fingers spread, as blue and red patterns appeared simultaneously on his skin.
Though it wasn't clear if this was how Schrifts were meant to be activated, this all-around enhancement rivaled Blut Vene.
This must be the ability of {W}, The World.
Akira felt power surging endlessly within his body as excitement and confidence swelled.
Without doubt, in this state, he had become stronger — perhaps even rivaling the Wandenreich's mightiest Quincy.
What Lord Haschwalth? Where did this "lord" come from?
A man of great spirit lives between heaven and earth — how could he long remain under others!
If Yhwach could do it, why couldn't he, Akira?
"This is..." Jugram's pupils contracted, his usually calm face showing shock, "Blut Vene and Blut Arterie?"
As everyone knew, Blut was an advanced Quincy combat technique, though not all Quincy had mastered it.
Blut is divided into Blut Arterie and Blut Vene. The former is for attack, the latter for defense. When used, they conflict with each other, making simultaneous activation impossible.
Yet Akira's current display undoubtedly broke this common knowledge.
Though this Schrift's ability was slightly inferior to some of the more powerful ones in the Sternritter, it still surpassed most Quincy abilities. His promotion to the Sternritter would certainly be justified.
And although this kid's mind wasn't quite right, his loyalty to the Wandenreich was beyond question.
It's just his way of addressing me... Well, there's still time before His Majesty fully recovers his power. With my abilities, I can certainly correct his rebellious thinking.
The Wandenreich has only one emperor — Yhwach.
With this thought, Jugram's expression softened, and he said calmly, "Return to the Ninth Tower for now. After some time, I will hold your promotion ceremony."
Akira set aside his grandiose thoughts, his expression becoming serious and solemn.
"Yes, Emperor Haschwalth!"
Jugram: "..."
Correcting this one's thinking and form of address had become urgent.

A significant event unfolded in the Wandenreich.
A newcomer had received His Majesty Yhwach's soul piece, awakened the new Schrift { W }, and joined the Sternritter's reserve ranks.
On the vast plaza before the Ice Palace, countless Quincy in white uniforms stood at attention, their eyes fixed respectfully on the blond man standing on the platform.
With Yhwach in slumber, Jugram managed all imperial affairs — both great and small — earning the Quincy's genuine respect as acting emperor.
"Everyone, today the Sternritter welcomes a new member. He is a Quincy from the World of the Living, Hashirama..."
Sōken Ishida could barely hear the blond man's words anymore.
His eyes remained fixed on the young man beside him, who wore a broad grin.
This is outrageous, absolutely outrageous. You've been in the Wandenreich mere days, yet you've achieved what others couldn't in years — even decades?
And what of the 11th Division of Soul Society?
Watching Akira begin his promotion speech, Sōken's eye twitched, his expression growing peculiar.
An ominous premonition stirred in his heart — the Wandenreich might face profound changes ahead.
During this promotion ceremony, most Quincy maintained stoic expressions. For them, the Wandenreich operated on strict hierarchies. The strong wielded absolute authority.
Such were the rules established by His Majesty Yhwach.
⤫⤬⤫⤬⤫⤬⤫⤬⤫⤬
Besides their exalted status, Sternritter Knights held official positions in the Wandenreich similar to Division Captains.
For example, Quilge Opie, designation {J}, The Jail, commanded the Jagdarmee (Hunting Corps) in Hueco Mundo and supervised soldier combat training.
As a traditional Quincy, Quilge's mastery of basic Quincy techniques surpassed other Sternritter members. His expertise was so profound that even other Knights sought his instruction.
After careful consideration, Jugram assigned Akira a corresponding position.
Captain of the Wandenreich's Erste Vorhut (First Vanguard).
His duty would be to lead the charge once war began.
Akira was delighted with this. After all, this was his old profession from Soul Society. Nobody understood charging better than him!

At the Eleventh Tower.
Looking at the Quincy soldiers arranged in formation, Akira furrowed his brows, his face spelling "dissatisfied".
They utterly lacked any spirit of martial valor or matchless courage. How could they possibly shoulder the heavy responsibility of charging into battle?
The answer was no!
It was time to give these Quincy a taste of the 11th Division.
"Who's the strongest fighter in the First Vanguard?"
Akira took off his Sternritter cloak and casually threw it to Sōken, who stood dazed beside him.
"Never mind, looking at how cowardly you all are, there's no point in asking. Listen up — this is your Captain's first order! Form ranks and charge! Defeat the enemy before you!"
The Quincy looked confused — there was only their newly appointed Vanguard Captain before them...
Unrest spread through the crowd.
"Bunch of fools, can't you even follow such a simple order? In your current state, you're not worthy to serve under me."
The unrest intensified. The Quincy could no longer contain their rising anger.
Someone unleashed their Reiatsu first, and blue spirit swords materialized among the crowd.
Raised high — attack! Chaos erupted instantly!
Akira flashed a fierce grin and charged into the crowd without even activating Blut, becoming a human bulldozer crashing through their ranks.
Sōken watched the scene with a numb scalp. He had heard about this guy's troublemaking abilities from when he was Aizen's test subject.
But he never imagined that a Shinigami Captain infiltrating the Quincy headquarters would show such brazen disregard for secrecy, as if daring others to notice his oddity.
His conduct defied description. From his behavior these past few days, his mind seemed consumed by nothing but absurdity.
While he was shocked, the vanguard Quincy were already letting out shameful wails, falling to the ground with no dignity whatsoever.
Most desperate of all, when spirit swords charged with power struck his body, instead of the sound of flesh tearing, there came the clash of metal against metal.
Was this guy really a Quincy?
"Weak, too weak." Akira looked at the "corpses" strewn about with disappointment, "With just this level of skill, how can you serve His Majesty, how can you contribute to the empire? Starting today, I will create a new training plan for you all. No matter who you are, everyone must get moving!"
Sōken tugged at Akira's clothes, gesturing for him to show some restraint.
This was the Wandenreich, not Soul Society.
"Almost forgot about you." Akira raised his finger, pointing, "You'll train too."
Sōken: "?"
