Chapter 418: It’s Your Choice Son

Ivan didn’t force Nikolai to follow his request. He told Nikolai to take a few days to think about what he wants and meet with Ryan.

Nikolai tapped his phone after reading messages from Selene and Nikita. The two of them couldn’t leave the mansion again after being scolded by their mothers. It seemed that Nagisa told them to wait at home, but both snuck into the van that helped save him.

Silly girls.

"Well, Ryan should be heading here soon."

Risa offered to drive with the second armed maid unit, together with her, to bring Ryan and his sister to meet with Nikolai.

"Whatever, let’s meet with mother and my aunt to speak about the research."

Elizabeth began working on the artificial body project four months ago, with Ivan assisting with any physical or challenging tasks. Then Anastasia returned and began helping after recovering from her long years of suffering.

The mansion became more vibrant after Nikolai arrived. He noticed the maids cleaning and rushing around more often. "Leona seemed to hate sitting around, even though she’s my wife now..."

Nikolai smiled, taking pride in the fact that she wanted to continue working with her current group until it became impossible for her to do so.

I support her.

He hated the idea of his women being bored, having nothing to do in the mansion, and thus never stopped them from doing whatever they chose. If Selene wanted to keep working at the Scarlet group, he wouldn’t stop her, same for Nikita, who still helped with the logistics and paperwork for the Fenrir gang.

The only one who became lazier was Risa.

However, she enjoyed meeting up with Sarah and working in the call centre for Nikolai’s business.

"Am I the luckiest man alive?" Nikolai muttered to himself.

None of his women caused too much trouble, and all of them still generated income and kept themselves occupied without any issues. Lunaria and Amphitrite might be the most unique, but the knowledge and abilities of those two were a little too specialised.

"Nikolai?" A soft voice called out.

"Hmmm?"

Nikolai turned to see his aunt, mother and Sasha sitting in a side room with hundreds of documents piled up on the table.

Sasha looked exhausted.

Her beautiful face looked strained, with black bags under her eyes and a slightly dull, grey-coloured skin. "Boss." She called out with a hoarse voice, her hands trembling.

"What are you doing, Mother?"

[Oh, nothing much, we are putting together our information and research about the various issues we came across during experiments with making an artificial body.]

"Well, what did you find out?" Nikolai wasn’t sure he would understand anything they found. He knew little of biology and nothing of science or engineering.

"We have completed the research needed to form the physical shell, the issue is the soul or a person’s mind..." Sasha said, her hands gripping the pen, and then tapped the booklets from the Djin clan. "What about the Djin race who specialise in the soul and that kind of thing?"

She looked at Nikolai with a hopeful smile on her lips.

Nikolai’s brow twitched, but then he nodded.

"That’s right I need to meet with the Madame again, and see if she can help..." Another thing that he forgot over the past few months, something that he never thought might help.

He remembered that the Jhin were a clan capable of manipulating people’s souls.

"Well that can come last, don’t rush yourself." Anastasia jumped in and moved several documents. "our focus should be on the creation of a working body that can counteract the degradation of cells and genes."

"Correct, we still haven’t managed to complete a model, and without one, we cannot begin the final steps."

Sasha let out a small breath.

She was glad she had Anastasia on board, and it seemed that Elizabeth had been researching this issue more than Nikolai thought. To see his mother looking so invested and smiling made his chest tingle.

[Nikolai, I had the maids make some refreshments, see to Amphitrite and Leona in the back, I heard that you’re going to be a father again, fufu... Mother is so happy. I want a body to greet all my future grandchildren.]

Nikolai looked up and noticed his mother’s gaze; her vague visage made it hard to know, but he could sense her feelings even when she spoke with him through words. He smiled and nodded, promising to do everything he could. "I’ll leave this with you, aunt."

He turned to Sasha.

"Do you need some rest?"

The strange mermaid always reacted to a soft voice from Nikolai, which amused him to no end. Her shoulders quivered as she turned away with a red face and took a deep breath before she turned back.

"I’m fine boss, this is the work you asked me to do."

"Well there’s no rush so make sure you sleep, if you overwork yourself then I’ll worry." Nikolai didn’t want to pressure Sasha, but she seemed to take his gentle words and tone as a sign of pressure.

"I-I’m fine! I’m fine!" She waved her hands in the air before covering her face.

"I see, well, make sure you don’t get sick."

"A-Ah... I will!"

Nikolai shrugged, bored with teasing Sasha and headed towards the room with Leona and the other women.

[Does he do this on purpose?] Elizabeth whispered to Anastasia.

"I think he does, but doesn’t quite understand the effects of his actions."

Anastasia chuckled softly while shaking her head.

***

In the main lounge, the women looked calm, sitting with the lounge door open, letting a salty breeze inside.

Leona sat by the sandy window, her feet dangling off the wooden porch. Amphitrite and Lunaria reclined on small sun loungers, each with an iced drink in a bucket beside them.

As for Kumiko, she was painting something while wearing a light summer dress...

Wow... she looks so pretty.

Kumiko seldom wore anything but a kimono, seeing her fair skin and soft curves in the blue summer dress caught Nikolai off guard.

He couldn’t help but stare at his beautiful woman.

"Ah!" She seemed to notice and turned to look at him with a bright smile. "Hello, my dear."

"You look wonderful." He responded, stepping closer, as he looked at the image on her canvas. She drew Leona, Luna and Amphitrite in the garden; it wasn’t professional level, but Nikolai found it charming. "So you’re painting the others?" He then noticed that a clone of Kumiko also lay beside the others.

She even included herself.

"It’s fun to be included." Kumiko smiled brightly before pointing at the blank side. "Your place is there."

"Eh?"

Nikolai didn’t know if she was referring to herself or them, but either way, he wouldn’t complain: "Do you want me to strip naked?"

"Ah?" Kumiko’s face turned bright red, the effect so strong that even her clone blushed with her tail’s fluffing up and patting the sandy beach.

He started unfastening his light shirt, only for the lovely fox to bat his hands away out of embarrassment. "Don’t... do you think I can paint you while naked!?"

That’s when Nikolai smirked and gripped the waist of his pants—then dropped them.

Kumiko’s eyes widened as she jumped at him with a squeak.

Of course Nikolai wasn’t naked, his cock didn’t fly out, but instead his blue swimming shorts with small little fishes appeared. The kitsune, unable to stop her body, fell on top of him.

"Omphf!" She grunted softly, but then her nose twitched, and he could feel her body begin to shake.

"...you bad man, why did you trick me?!" Her soft hands gently tapped his chest, which soon transformed into a hug as she buried her face in his chest.

"Hahaha~"

Nikolai hugged the woman as she squirmed in embarrassment.

"You can draw us like this if you want?"

"Shut up."

It was a rare chance to see Kumiko’s emotions like this.

"So, the real Kumiko is the one sunbathing, huh?"

That’s right.

Because the Kumiko hugging his chest wasn’t the main body, but one of her various emotions or desires, taken form as a clone.

The clone of Kumiko blushed.

"Shhh..." She put a finger to his lips.

"I see..."

Kumiko pulled away and straightened her outfit, then looked back at the actual body, before she leaned closer to Nikolai and pecked his lips with a soft kiss. "Don’t tell on me."

"I thought you shared all sensations?"

"...we do, but if something happens, we don’t make an issue as long as you are happy, Darling."

"I see, is that why you all call me a different word?"

Sometimes, Kumiko called him "babe," "darling," "honey," "husband," and "dear." The actual body called him "husband" and acted a little more reserved than the clones.

He’d noticed that the clones who acted differently often called him "darling" or "babe." Perhaps because the main body couldn’t express his affection so aggressively unless they were together in bed.

Then it hit Nikolai.

"Does that mean the clone who asked me to cum inside her was also a clone?"

The artist twirled her brush with a dark red face as she leaned close to his ear.

"T-That girl... it was me."
