Part 10: The Job Isn't Over (Because Leo Forgot to Finish It)
Dante rubbed his temples. The room was dead silent except for the sound of Marco barely holding back laughter.
Leo sat across from his uncle, twiddling his thumbs like a child caught stealing cookies.
"So let me get this straight," Dante said, voice dangerously calm. "Not only did you fail the world's easiest mission... but you also forgot to actually deliver the package?"
Leo grinned sheepishly. "Ehh... in my defense, there were a lot of distractions."
"Distractions?" Dante repeated, his eye twitching.
Marco finally broke, laughing as he slapped the desk. "Yeah, like getting lost, throwing pocket sand at some thugs, running from the cops"
Leo pointed at Marco. "Exactly! See? Distractions."
Dante exhaled slowly, trying not to strangle his nephew. "Where is the package now?"
Leo patted his jacket pockets. "Uhh..." He checked his pants. "Nope, not there..." He patted his head. "Huh. That's weird. I"
Dante slammed his fist on the desk. "LEO."
Leo jumped. "Okay, okay! It's... probably on my bike?"
Dante shot out of his chair. "You mean the bike you abandoned when the cops stopped you?"
Silence.
Leo blinked.
"...Oh."
Marco fell out of his chair laughing.
Step One: Find the Bike (And Hope the Cops Didn't Take It)
Leo, Marco, and Dante's most patient enforcer, Enzo, drove back to the spot where Leo ditched his motorbike.
Unfortunately...
His bike was gone.
Leo stared at the empty street. "Well. That's unfortunate."
Marco clapped him on the shoulder. "Hey, look on the bright side! At least now you won't get lost on it anymore."
Leo scowled. "Not helping."
Enzo, the no-nonsense muscle of the group, crossed his arms. "If the cops didn't take it, that means someone stole it."
Leo gasped. "Oh no! What kind of criminal would steal from a criminal?"
Marco sighed. "You? All the time?"
Leo ignored that. "So what now?"
Enzo pulled out his phone. "We find out who has your bike."
Step Two: Bribe (Or Threaten) The Right People
Thanks to Enzo's "gentle persuasion" (which involved a lot of broken furniture), they found out a street gang had taken Leo's bike.
The gang was called the Dead Rats.
Leo stared at their run-down hideout. "Wow. Tough name."
Marco smirked. "Yeah. Real intimidating."
Leo turned to Enzo. "Okay, what's the plan? We sneak in? We go undercover? We"
Enzo kicked the door open.
The gang members screamed.
Leo blinked. "Ah. Classic."
The Dead Rats scattered, but Enzo grabbed their leader, a scrawny guy named Niko, by the collar.
"Where's the bike?" Enzo growled.
Niko visibly sweated. "W-We sold it!"
Leo paled. "YOU WHAT?!"
Niko held up his hands. "B-But we still have the package! We were gonna open it and see if it was valuable!"
Marco smirked. "Big mistake, buddy."
Step Three: Retrieve the Package (Without Killing Anyone... Hopefully)
Niko led them to a back room, where the black package sat on a dirty table.
Leo exhaled in relief. "Thank the mafia gods."
Just as he reached for it

Niko lunged for a crowbar.
Before he could swing, Leo grabbed a random frying pan from a counter and whacked him in the face.
CLANG.
Niko collapsed instantly.
Silence.
Marco gaped. "Did you just... win a fight?"
Leo twirled the frying pan. "Maybe I'm a natural."
Enzo shook his head. "Let's go before more idiots show up."
Step Four: Actually Deliver The Package (Finally)
After way too many detours, Leo finally reached the delivery address.
He knocked.
The door opened to reveal a mysterious woman in a sleek black dress, her piercing green eyes scanning him.
Leo handed over the package. "Uh... delivery?"
She took it, inspecting the box carefully before looking up at him.
"You're late."
Leo huffed. "Trust me, lady, you don't even wanna know."
She smirked slightly. "Pity. I love a good story."
Then, without another word, she shut the door.
Leo blinked. "Rude."
Marco patted his back. "At least you finished the job."
Leo grinned. "Yep! And nothing went wrong!"
Just then, a loud explosion went off in the distance.
Leo sighed. "I shouldn't have said that."
Marco facepalmed.
