Chapter 248: Arse-crack of the Mountain

Jimmy categorized his plans as solid, and liquid.

The one solid part of the battle plan so far was the one surrounding the clones. The clones had to attack the enemy on their own, and just as he suspected, they died in battle, and took hundreds of enemies with them.

He could imagine how painful the death for the clones was, and he was sad over the matter, but he tried to not think about it too much. The clones had to die, and that was that.

As for the liquid plans, they engulfed every other step of his battle plan, including that regarding the laser guns, and when the shooters were supposed to use them.

The shooters were supposed to be a solid part of the battle plan, as he simply planned to spam the enemy with laser beams as soon as they poured out of what he liked to call the Ass-crack of the Mountain, but he was forced to shift the label of that plan to liquid. He had to, because based on what his mother said, the clones killed less enemies than he expected them to!

He didn’t know how much of a charge the laser guns had. They could last a very long time, or they could last long enough to piss out a few shots, and if the latter was the case, he’d rather not have twenty of his people anywhere close to hundreds of enemies. Things could go wrong within seconds!

"God damn... and I thought I was already being cautious..." He muttered, "There are levels to this shit."

Jimmy waited for his mother to return along with the six other QT riders. It took an hour for them to get here, not because the Ass-crack of the Mountain was far away from the home cavern, but because the riders needed some time to fill their leather tarps with rocks.

He heard them fly above him. They did not stop by to greet him, as they didn’t have to. Lasra knew exactly where the enemy was, or she could make a good estimation, and so they kept their course straight, and were ready to launch their rocky attack.

Anna, and plenty of the other QT riders who were supposed to be resting right now, were high up in the air, ready to inflict a short, but horrendous rock storm against the enemy.

"We’re making good time," Jimmy said, after he heard the QT riders fly by. "We should have almost three hours before those hairy bastards get here."

Zik squatted, seemingly tired, and said, "Why did you bring us here so early? The archers are getting bored."

"Convenience," He blurted, "If I didn’t bring you and the archers along, I’d waste a lot of time running back and forth. Gutty barely had the chance to rest today, he wouldn’t be able to make the trip without hurting himself in the dark."

"Ah," Zik sighed, "At least he and Rampage are having a good nap now."

"They have to get moving soon, so I hope they’re enjoying their nap." He said.

Anyway, unlike how long it took them to unleash their rock storm, the QT riders got back to Jimmy less than ten minutes after they delivered the ’payload’.

Gnegor landed close by, hopped off of his pet, and said, "We killed a hundred of them!"

"Are you sure?" He asked, "Sounds too good to be true."

"We didn’t even kill fifty," Gaark added, "We heard them shout at us, father, but that doesn’t mean we got a hundred of them."

"Perhaps I saw what I was hoping to see?" Gnegor mumbled, and stroked his thick, bushy beard. "We have to attack them again. Now I know where to aim."

"Yes," Jimmy didn’t waste a second, "The flying clones didn’t kill enough of them, so we gotta throw rocks at them two more times."

It took very little to convince the people around him what to do. They trusted his gut, and most of all, they loved the general idea of strategic warfare, even if they didn’t understand the whole concept of it.

The twelve archers climbed off of Rampage, and lended a helping hand. With so many people loading rocks on the leather tarps, they managed to load up all seven QTs in under twenty minutes!

Once the riders took off, disappearing within the night sky, Jimmy used the time they had left to put together the rest of his liquid plans.

Attacking the enemy with rocks three times instead of once was part of the liquid plans he had, he had to adapt, and other than that, he had to figure out what to do with the archers as well. He can’t have them be around when the shooters blew through the enemy with their plasma guns, because in the off-chance where the enemy broke through the wave of plasma bolts, he did not want to have a lot of his people close to the disaster.

Rampage couldn’t carry both shooters and archers on his back, not without risking everyone’s lives, so he had to figure out how to implement the archers in the battle before the enemy got here. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

"Wish I tested the syringe on a fucking human clone..." He mumbled, "I could have flying archers right now."

Jimmy would never risk the lives of his people, including the ones that he considered foreigners a week ago, however, Zelna, the leader of the archers, heard him mention them, even if at a mumble.

Eager to know what he was talking about, she walked forward, and asked, "Did I hear you right? You can make us archers fly?"

"No," He shook his head violently, "I was saying the exact opposite of that."

Loving the idea of having the ability to fly, she insisted, "Jimmy, you know, there’s a reason why we’re archers, right? Our magic, in a way, helps us stop time the moment we draw our bows. This is why we have a really good aim, we get plenty of time to think about where we fling our arrows, but... imagine how good we’d be if we could fly, Jimmy! If you can actually help us fly, please don’t deprive us of it!"
