Bloodmancer in the Jurassic Era: I use my Dinos to seduce Human mates-Chapter 251 - 12 Flying Archers
Jimmy did not simply wait around for Zelna to return. He still had plenty of time on his hands, yes, but he wanted to use that time to prepare against the enemy early on.
After three ’air strikes’ Zelna, Gaark, and the other QT riders assured Jimmy that they killed at least one-hundred enemies in total.
He was liking his odds now, because according to his calculations, or what the QT riders reported, there were just around four-hundred enemies remaining.
This was a good thing, and a bad thing at the same time.
They wiped out more than half of the incoming wave, yes, but for the sake of safety, he assumed that at least half of them remained, and that his people miscounted. After all, it was hard to make a solid estimation when hundreds of people were involved, and this was especially difficult in the dead of night when they could only count the enemy based on how many hand-held torches were lit.
He had to keep his plans liquid, and adaptive to changes, but he knew that they weren’t out of the woods yet, because he had thrown most of the attacks against the enemy, and yet hundreds of them remained.
He did not want to depend on the plasma guns alone to get rid of the rest of the enemy, as a lot of things could go wrong in close combat. He did send Zik and Rampage back home to fetch the shooters, yes, but as for now, he needed to formulate one more attack plan to lessen the number of enemy forces.
This was why he really considered giving the rest of the archers the ability to fly. He knew they’d agree in a heartbeat, but he didn’t feel great about putting their lives at risk.
He didn’t know if the advanced syringe in his hands would keep them flying forever, assuming a random infection didn’t kill them within the week, but then again, he was running out of options, and had to settle with getting the archers to attack the enemy all together.
Eleven archers could cause a lot of damage, assuming they didn’t miss their shots. He had to settle with this idea, because throwing rocks at the enemy wasn’t as effective as he hoped it was going to be.
Anyway, when Zelna returned from her ’hunt’ safe and sound, he was all the more convinced to stab the other eleven archers with the syringe. He tried to excuse his decision with Zelna’s success.
He put his hand on her shoulder, and said, "I’m glad you’re still in one piece."
"Jimmy... you have no idea!" She exclaimed, "It was amazing! I felt so free!"
"Well," He held his breath, "Let’s hope you get to enjoy the pleasure of flight for the rest of your life, Zelna. I really hope you do."
"I think I will," She nodded, "I feel fine."
"Good," He said, "I don’t want to risk any of your lives, but I’m going to need to follow through with our deal, Zelna. I have to get your friends to fly, because we need at least a hundred more of those damned, unwashed fuckers dead."
Zelna could hardly understand why he was sad about the matter. She knew her friends would do anything to gain the ability to fly. They would never care if they died today, or a week later, as long as they got to fly for an hour at the very least.
Having better, nay, superior angles aided by the gift of flight was a dream of every obsessed archer. They craved it, and likewise, neither of them were against the conditions that Jimmy set for them, as long as they got to fly.
"Don’t worry about us," She said, "We’ll be fine. I’m sure of it."
"Alright," he nodded, and then he looked at the rest of the archers. "Single-file line, guys. We’re getting close to sunrise, so we don’t have too much time on our hands."
The enemy was around two hours away from his home cavern right now, or just an hour away from the Ass-crack of the Mountain. He had to work quickly, and thankfully, the syringe did not take its sweet time when it came to giving people the ability to fly. It was a quick process.
The syringe took a couple of minutes transforming, but once it did, he then pressed the fourth button on the control panel, careful not to press any other button, because he didn’t want any of the archers to grow a tail, or shrink.
Ten seconds later, the first archer on the line started flying. This particular archer took one for the team when he waited for the syringe to transform. He endured the large needle in his hip for two whole minutes, but after this point, the process was a lot quicker.
Jimmy got to the second archer on the line, and got him flying ten seconds later!
Just like that, one at a time, he gave each and every archer the ability of flight!
They could not be happier! They were flying around effortlessly, careful with their moves as if they’ve been flying all their lives!
Joyful laughs and cheers were common amongst them now, and after that point, he could see it in their movements that they were grateful, and ready to fight for the tribe to the best of their abilities! They didn’t care if they lived or died, but judging from their elegance, they weren’t going to die by the hands of the enemy today, as their skill, their overall caution, was now paired with the great advantage of flight!
"Alright," He held his breath in, "Enjoy, guys. You know what to do next, but, try to keep yourself away from danger, stick to the mountain."
"Don’t worry about it," Zelna said, "I’ll make sure to keep them out of trouble."
After that point, the archers thanked Jimmy once more, and headed towards the tip of the mountain. They were quick, they seemed confident, and Jimmy could only hope that they wouldn’t miss, and made every arrow count, because he knew how imperative it was to kill as many enemies as possible before his tribe indulged in close-combat!
