As the heroes watched in shock as Kai hovered in the air, the water in the other three internal lakes of I-Island began to boil. Soon, two beams of energy shot up into the sky, striking the upper shield and tearing two holes through it. Fear spread across the island as two ten-headed monsters emerged from the lakes, roaring into the air and causing the entire island to tremble. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

At the same time, 12 swords in [In] state shot toward the top of the tallest tower on I-Island. There, a strange female Nomu with hair made of black clouds could be seen, moving in a somewhat mechanical manner from time to time. However, instead of attacking, the invisible swords kept a cautious distance, surrounding the Nomu before coming to a complete standstill, waiting in silence.

“Is this the end of I-Island…?”

On the road, a veteran hero couldn’t help but mutter in disbelief as he watched Godzilla grow in size, a grim expression on its reptilian face. But before panic could fully take hold in everyone’s hearts, a magnetic and familiar voice echoed in all directions.

“Carolina Smash!!!”

With the announcement, a slicing vacuum in the shape of an X shot toward the monster, hitting it dead-on and sending it flying with eight of its heads severed. The X-shaped vacuum continued its straight path, dangerously approaching the summit of the tallest tower. Caught by surprise, the Nomu at the top tried to defend itself. But before it could, a massive X-shaped cut appeared on its chest, and it was sent flying into the sea, passing over Kai’s head.

Simultaneously, the last of the ten-headed monsters was frozen and immobilized, forming an icicle the size of a small mountain. At that moment, a striking red and gold female armor rose into the air, accompanied by a beautiful blue-haired young woman holding a sword and a young man with vibrant green hair.

As if it were a well-rehearsed choreography, the woman in red armor unleashed a red laser that sliced through three of the hydra’s heads. Meanwhile, the blue-haired girl created a circular energy wave around her sword and launched a slash, cutting through another three heads.

As the crowd watched in awe while the six heads detached from the hydra, the green-haired young man began spinning in the air at high speed. After a few moments and hundreds of rotations, he extended his right leg and unleashed a kick into the air while shouting with all his might.

“Smash!!!”

The kick triggered a brutal shockwave that severed the two central heads of the hydra clean off and pushed it back several meters, leaving everyone staring in awe between the Symbol of Peace and the green-haired boy. Amid the chaos, Godzilla couldn’t help but murmur in shock as he watched the young man in vacation attire slice through five heads while his giant panther tore through the rest with teeth and claws.

“Where did all these monsters come from…?”

“They’re students from UA in Japan! All Might’s students!!!”

A nearby hero shouted in excitement as a response, just as a blur passed in front of the hydra attacked by the trio of young heroes, and the last two heads imploded, leaving everyone baffled. But quickly, a beautiful woman in a hero costume with a yellow skirt and vest, cat ears, and green-turquoise hair descended slowly from the sky in front of the hydra.

Before the woman touched the ground, a muscular man in a matching brown costume appeared on the road in front of the hydra. He pulled his right fist back as if it were made of rubber. As soon as the woman landed, the man snapped his fist back at a speed surpassing sound, creating a powerful shockwave. With a serious expression, he directed all that accumulated power into the beast’s chest, leaving a massive hole and sending it flying.

At the same time, as the hydra struck by the Symbol of Peace was about to hit the ground, the earth and metal beneath it rose into the air, forming three colossal sharp spikes that severed the remaining two heads and pierced through the center of the hydra, leaving it impaled. At that instant, a melodic, playful, cat-like feminine laugh echoed through the area.

“Nyaahahahaha!”

“Ohhhh!!!! The Pussycats!!! Japan’s strongest hero team!!”

As a strange mix of shock, disbelief, and awe seeped into everyone’s hearts, a group cheer rang out from a band of evidently Japanese heroes, shouting with pride. A hero with a massive sniper rifle couldn’t help but lower his weapon and ask with clear incredulity in his tone.

“Since when are Japanese heroes this terrifying…? I thought they only had All Might…”

“I thought the same… Looks like the geopolitical dynamic is about to change from now on…” A woman who seemed to be made of water muttered in disbelief as she watched the three terrifying hydras fall lifeless to the ground without causing a single casualty.

Upon landing on the ground without a single stain on his white shirt, Kai ignored Salem, who was gnawing at the hydra’s neck and battering it before nibbling in different ways. Activating his black-and-white vision, he focused on the top of the central tower on I-Island.

There, deep cuts and what appeared to be a large trail of blood stained the ground, while several Nomus hurriedly climbed up to see what had happened. Observing the same as her master, Sage created a holographic screen in [In] state in front of him and sent a telepathic message.

[Fortunately, we were able to take advantage of All Might’s attack and made the swords strike just before. I managed to capture it while it flew over us and isolate it as soon as it submerged far enough into the sea.]

As the screen played a video of All Might’s attack sending the new portal Nomu flying, Sage explained with a smile. Kai nodded subtly and soon asked in a serious tone.

[Good work, Sage. What did you manage to find out about these hydras?]

[A deeper study is needed, master, but for now, I can tell you their DNA is practically identical—basically clones. It remains to be determined whether they are the product of a quirk or lab creations.] Sage explained in a serious tone while generating new holographic screens filled with data that Kai reviewed quickly before commenting calmly.

[Earlier, I took the chance to toss two heads into what’s left of the lake. Take what you can with Sealing Vault.]

[Immediately, master.] Sage replied in a serious tone, shooting off toward the lake at high speed.

“KAI-CHAN!!!”

At that moment, a beautiful blue-haired young woman descended from the sky, calling out with a huge smile on her face. She landed in the arms of the blue-eyed young man, who caught her with his free arm and spun to absorb the momentum. Nejire wrapped her arms around Kai’s neck and commented with shining, love-filled eyes.

“You were super cool, Kai-chan!”

“Are you sure you want to come with me? There are still several Nomus wandering around.” Kai commented with a smile. Nejire glanced around and asked in a low voice.

“Is anyone watching us?”

“A few.” Kai replied calmly, which led Nejire to pout sadly before stepping away and commenting with a reluctant tone.

“Then I’ll see you at the hotel later…”

Kai couldn’t help but chuckle in amusement at Nejire’s antics while scanning the island with his observation haki, confirming that the sniper had long disappeared and no new Nomus were emerging. Satisfied, Kai began walking toward the hotel alongside Salem, who tore off huge chunks of the hydra’s body and carried them in its mouth, standing nearly four meters tall as it followed.

[All set, master. I managed to retrieve a head.] At that moment, Sage materialized by his side again and sent a telepathic message in a cheerful tone. Kai smiled, satisfied, and sincerely congratulated her.

[Well done, Sage. You’re the MVP of this whole operation. If there’s anything you want, just let me know.]

[The only thing I want is to be of help to you, master.] Sage commented with a beautiful smile on her face, revealing two small dimples as she sat on Kai’s shoulder, looking incredibly proud.

Not long after, Kai entered the hotel as the sword in his hand vanished into thin air. At that instant, a piece of paper flew toward him from outside due to a gust of wind. With a bored expression, Kai casually caught the paper and continued walking inside. Out of everyone’s sight, a small smile formed on his face as he tucked a golden card with the simplified image of a briefcase into his wallet.

Soon, Kai entered the bunker, where he was greeted by Keiko and Yumiko with huge smiles on their faces. They quickly sat him down on a comfortable sofa and handed him a soda and some chips. Meanwhile, Salem dropped part of its haul into a freezer and brought some meat to Tama, who, after tasting it, meowed a bit unsatisfied but ate anyway.

David and Melissa couldn’t help but exchange strange looks, finding it hard to know what to say. After a few moments, David let out a small sigh and spoke in a formal tone, watching Kai stretch his feet on the sofa.

“You’re truly impressive, Kai-san. Not only are you a genius capable of creating something as remarkable as the PhotonEdge chips, but you even managed to heal All Might and possess such terrifying strength at your age… I can’t do anything but admire you.”

“You flatter me. Your work has been an inspiration to me. I’ve developed a lot of support gear for my family and the kids I train based on your creations.” Kai lowered his feet to the floor and sat up straighter, adding in a calm tone with a business-like smile.

“Speaking of which, what are your thoughts on working with us? We’re close to launching a line of cutting-edge hero suits, and your help would be invaluable. Of course, we won’t be stingy with the royalties, and there’s the possibility of accepting a certain percentage of investment from you in the lab.”

“It’s a very generous proposal, but I need to think it over carefully. Melissa is currently studying here on I-Island, which will be crucial for her future in this line of work.” David commented in a serious tone. Kai turned to look at Melissa, analyzing her from head to toe before commenting with a smile.

“In that case, I have a certain contact with Principal Nezu from UA, and I’m sure he’d be more than willing to facilitate a transfer to the third-year support department. While it’s not on par with I-Island, it’s not bad at all, and I assure you I can secure much better ‘resources’ for her, including a quirk.”

Upon hearing Kai, David and Melissa didn’t seem very surprised until he mentioned the quirk, which caused expressions of utter disbelief to form on the father and daughter’s faces. Kai ate a couple of chips with amusement before commenting in a more serious tone.

“I don’t know how much All Might explained about his situation, but I can assure you that healing him wasn’t far from giving him a new quirk. Therefore, while I can’t promise it’ll be a strong quirk, I can guarantee that within no more than a year, Melissa will have a quirk without significant side effects.”

Hearing Kai’s outrageous words, the father-daughter pair couldn’t help but look at each other, filled with surprise, indecision, and a hint of suspicion. Noticing their feelings, Kai glanced at Tama, who was gently nibbling on a small piece of hydra meat, and called out in a calm voice.

“Tama.”

At the call, the cat perked up her ears and quickly stood to look at her master with curiosity. Meeting her master’s eyes was all the white cat needed to understand his intentions, and she immediately meowed with hauteur. At the same time, a white aura began to emanate from her body, taking the form of a cape and crown, making her look like undisputed royalty among felines.

With her head held high, Tama walked toward Kai and jumped into his lap, from where she looked down at the father and daughter as a queen gazing upon mere peasants, emitting a subtle pressure around her. Meanwhile, Melissa and David stared intently at the cat, then at the calm Salem chewing on hydra meat, visibly struggling to believe what they were seeing.

While it was incredible that the impressive black cat with blue eyes had such a strong quirk, they could still attribute it to luck. But for both of the young man’s pets to have quirks and be so intelligent was far too unlikely to be a coincidence. Not even money could guarantee someone a pet like that, or every millionaire would have quirk-endowed pets.

“A long time ago, All Might told me about his nemesis…” While looking at the pair of cats, David couldn’t help but comment hesitantly. Kai quickly retorted with clear disdain in his tone.

“Don’t compare me to that quirk-thief. I’m a creator, not a common thief.”

“You can create quirks…?” Melissa couldn’t help but murmur at Kai’s words, to which he smiled mysteriously and asked calmly.

“So, what do you say? Are you interested in my proposal?”
