Born Sacred-Chapter 25: Protect Noah!
If Lucian was truly a Reborn person, then for Starfall Country, it would undoubtedly be very important.
But Noah was also not bad.
He achieved the First Clear for three out of ten Trial Instances, and even snatched the First Clear for an Advancement Instance before everyone else, becoming the first First Order Awakener on Blue Star, currently the number one Awakener.
The attitude of the higher-ups is definitely to hope to resolve the conflict between the two.
Rose also thought this way.
She spoke these words very sincerely, yet what she didn’t expect was that Lucian was completely enraged.
"You think I’m doing this for myself?"
"You actually thought I was doing this for personal revenge?"
Lucian was furious.
He suddenly stood up and slammed his hands on the table, making a loud noise.
He roared sternly, "Do you know how heavy a price we paid to allow me to be reborn before the full awakening?"
"So many people sacrificed themselves without hesitation, they went bravely to their deaths, ending their own lives without a second thought, placing all their hope on me."
"What was it for?"
"It was to prevent tragedy from repeating, to end the Disaster at its source, and to ensure that hopeless future would never arrive."
Lucian stared coldly at Rose, "You know nothing."
"Please calm down."
Rose was not intimidated.
With some psychological preparation and having overcome the initial shock of meeting him, she became much calmer.
Although Lucian spoke passionately, she was not a Reborn person and had not experienced the despairing future Lucian spoke of.
Therefore, she did not feel the pain of his words firsthand.
"In your future, what kind of existence was Noah?"
Lucian quickly calmed down.
Facing Rose’s question, a complex and fearful look flashed in his eyes.
"He was the ultimate evil Great Demon King, the source of fear that loomed over everyone on Blue Star."
"He was immortal and omnipotent."
"His strength surpassed everyone’s imagination."
"Even an SSS-Level Talent Awakener like me couldn’t even see his figure high in the sky."
"Undeniably, he brought safety to Blue Star. Even the most terrifying Disaster could be extinguished with a flick of his finger before him."
"But..."
"I don’t know when it started, or perhaps it was his nature all along, but he became unpredictable. He once, in a fit of rage, casually wiped out a city, instantly killing millions of people. He summoned meteorites from space and caused tsunamis, just for the pleasure of watching people struggle under natural Disasters. These were but a fraction of the sins he committed."
"He deserves to die. If he doesn’t die, Blue Star has no future and will forever live under his brutal rule."
"Disasters, we can deal with. Even if we die by the hand of Disaster, no one wants to live in that kind of despairing future."
After hearing Lucian’s words, Rose’s emotions were unsettled for a long time.
One thought for god, one thought for demon.
This was undoubtedly a true portrayal of the future Noah.
He could have become the savior of countless people on Blue Star, but ultimately became an lawless, terrifying Great Demon King.
A future without checks and balances is too terrifying.
At the level of the future Noah, good and evil truly were just a matter of a single thought.
Perhaps, good and evil were irrelevant.
He was like the high and mighty Heaven’s Path, indifferent and heartless, regarding all things as mere straw dogs.
"You were reborn and the first thing you did was find Noah, wanting to kill him. Unfortunately, you failed. Now you are contacting us, voluntarily revealing your identity as a Reborn person, to gain our trust and use our power to kill Noah before he grows into the future Great Demon King?"
Rose said solemnly, "Forgive my bluntness, but without more evidence, the Supernatural Management Bureau will not easily act based solely on your words."
Noah is the first First Order Awakener on Blue Star, currently at the peak of his popularity.
Acting rashly against him, Rose did not believe the higher-ups would make such a decision.
Even if everything Lucian said was true, that was still the future.
"No, you are wrong."
What Rose didn’t expect was that Lucian shook his head and denied it without hesitation.
"I revealed my identity as a Reborn person and showed my sincerity not to use the power of the Starfall Country authorities to kill Noah, but quite the opposite."
"I hope that you can pour in everything and do your utmost to ’protect’ Noah."
Rose: "???"
She almost suspected her ears were malfunctioning.
"I didn’t mishear, it’s ’protect Noah’, not ’kill Noah’?"
"Yes, protect."
Lucian gave an affirmative answer.
Rose was stunned.
She looked at Lucian opposite her.
There was still infinite hatred for the future Noah in his eyes, yet the words he spoke meant something else entirely, making one wonder if he was schizophrenic.
