Zaiyila was stunned and knit her brows. Suddenly, without any warning, she pounced on him and patted his head.
"Done! In front of you, I’m short, but I’m taller than others," she stated proudly and pouted.
Everett chuckled. "I say... my mum is so cute," he murmured, kissing her cheek.
Zaiyila smiled and looked at Everett. "Right, go and change immediately. Mum will take you shopping," she instructed, jumping down from his embrace.
Everett smiled. "Sure," he responded. "You should change as well," he added before lifting her up and carrying her to the room.
After a short while, the couple—or rather, the mother and son—were ready, both wearing matching outfits.
Everett wore long jeans pants and a black-and-white striped T-shirt, making him look even more stunning. Instead of the usual cold, demonic aura, he looked adorable and approachable. Zaiyila wore the same outfit, except her jeans were in the form of a skirt. Her beautiful hair was styled in a bun, making her appear more childish than mature.
"How do I look?" Zaiyila spun around in front of Everett.
"Stunning, gorgeous, and perfect," Everett praised wholeheartedly.
Zaiyila smiled sweetly. "Do I look mature? I found this hairstyle online. It says it’s for mature mothers. Do I look like a mother now?" she inquired.
Everett smiled, loosened her hair, and restyled it into his favorite two ponytails, making her look irresistibly cute and even more beautiful.
"I think this hairstyle is better," he remarked.
Zaiyila made a move to check the mirror, but Everett stopped her. "We’ll get late, Mum," he urged.
Zaiyila nodded and picked up her bag. "Let’s go," she declared, holding Everett’s hand and leading him outside.

A luxurious car was parked in front of a massive company. Compared to the mall Elizabeth had once taken Zaiyila to, this place was twice as grand. Zaiyila was stunned, her eyes widening in awe.
Everett stepped out of the car and opened the door for Zaiyila. "Please... Mum," he said, stretching out his hand like a real gentleman.
Zaiyila took his hand, stepping out of the car with his help. Now that nothing obstructed her view, she almost felt dizzy just looking at the building.
"Eve, this place is so big," she gasped, temporarily forgetting her role as a mother.
Everett chuckled. "My Queen likes it?" he asked.
Zaiyila nodded without taking her eyes off the structure. "Let’s go inside immediately. I’m curious!" she exclaimed, dragging him along in excitement.
The first floor was filled with all types of luxurious clothing. There were separate sections for men and women, each buzzing with activity.
"Eve, am I seeing things? This place—this place is exactly my taste. I don’t know why, but I just love it, it’s so much beautiful!" she beamed, her eyes sparkling.
Everett felt overjoyed inside. "Out of all the things I’ve prepared for her, this seems to be the one she’s most interested in. Well, I should show her everything one by one. If she’s satisfied with the rest, all the better. But this mall..." He pulled out his phone, typed something, then tucked it back into his pocket. "It should be under her name immediately."
"Eve, can I come here in the future?" Zaiyila asked.
"My Queen doesn’t need permission to do anything she likes, remember?" he teased.
Zaiyila smiled joyfully and continued looking around. "Where should we go now?" she questioned.
Everett took her hand and led her to the private elevator, which brought them to the second floor—more beautiful than the first.
"The upper floors are private. Is my Queen interested in taking a look?" he offered.
Zaiyila nodded eagerly without any hesitation, and Everett happily led her to the seventh floor, which sparkled with colorful lights.
"Oh my goodness! This is so beautiful! Ah, Eve, the owner of this place must be super rich!" Zaiyila wanted to scream but restrained herself to avoid disturbing others.
Everett chuckled. "Praising yourself huh, how will you even react if you later know that it’s already yours" he thought, feeling happy just by watching Zaiyila happy.
"Welcome to Z.A. Clothing Company. Which of our designs has caught the honored guest’s attention?" a pretty lady in a corporate uniform approached and bowed respectfully.
Zaiyila turned to Everett, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Just do as you please. Don’t even ask the price. Buy all that you like," he encouraged warmly.
The lady noticed Everett and her eyes widened. She was about to speak, but a single glare from him stole her courage.
"I’ll go and take care of something first. Enjoy yourself. You can even ask them to let you roleplay as the big boss here—no one will object, I promise," he assured.
Zaiyila chuckled and nodded. "Don’t be late, okay?" she requested and kissed him.
"Is it right for a mum to kiss her son like that?" Everett teased.
"But you’re my baby. You’re still a baby," Zaiyila argued playfully.
The female attendant, still bowing, nearly choked on air. "Can you both spare me?" she cried inwardly but dared not lift her head.
Everett smiled. "Alright, I’m your baby," he chuckled, kissed her again, and left.
Once Everett was out of sight, Zaiyila’s face turned crimson with embarrassment as she realized all that had just happened had been witnessed.
"Um..."
"If pretty miss is not in a hurry, I can show you our latest designs. If none catch your interest, I can take you to the eighth floor," the lady offered respectfully.
Zaiyila’s eyes widened. "There’s an eighth floor?" she asked.
"Yes, Your Highness—" the lady bit her lower lip immediately, realizing she had slipped.
Zaiyila’s expression froze. She stared at the attendant in shock, took two steps back, then looked at her again, she was still bowing.
"Calm down, Zaiyila. If she’s an enemy, I’ll just fight. I can’t let my husband be disappointed in me again."
She fixed the woman with a cold glare. "What did you just call me?" she demanded, her tone laced with murderous intent.
