_
Late at night, in the heart of Farus family camp...
Das, Princess Amara, and two of her subordinates sat before the camp fire. A tea kettle is burning on one side of the fire pit. Amara’s subordinate poured the hot tea for Princess and Das.
Only the sounds of night insects disturbed the calm night. Das, who sat closely with Amara, could feel her heavy breath. The two subordinates sat silently at a distance without doing anything.
Based on his instincts, Das already guessed that Princess Amara stopped him for discussing about the upcoming war.
"Speak, Princess. What do you want to discuss with me?" Das asked casually while staring at the campfire, which is adding a dark orange hue to his face.
Amara took a long breath and stared at Das hesitatingly before opening her mouth. "Are you sure you want to participate in this war?" Amara asked while feeling the heat from her tea cup.
Das sighed as he smiled with one cheek up. "Yes, princess. I will join this war and fight alongside you. It’s a great honour for me." Das replied without thinking much.
At present, Das needs to be on Amara’s side and gain her trust. All he needs is one chance and one opportunity to make Princess Amara trust him like a family member. For that, he will humble himself to any degree.
"Why? You might lose your life in war. Why don’t you stay here and wait for the result? Even if my family loses the war, I will make sure to protect my people. As I already promised you to be protected, you will naturally be saved in dire moments. So, why not avoid this war?" Amara asked in a serious tone, as she has doubts about Das’s loyalty.
"Princess, if you don’t want me to participate in this war, say it on my face. I don’t like this hesitation drama. Are you worried about my meeting with the Taurus family princess? Is that why you sent Bella and your sister against me?" Das asked in a serious tone as he stared at Amara’s eyes.
"Nooo… That’s not it." Amara felt perplexed to answer his direct question. She stuttered to answer him while staring at his crimson-red eyes, which are a bit glowing in the dark night.
"Then what is it, princess? Do you forget that I’m a warrior? You made me head of this city because I won a blood duel against the rich families of this city? Or do you consider me to be your enemy?" Das asked while facing her, ignoring the hot tea, that was burning his fingers.
Suddenly, the soldier, who is a subordinate to Amara, stood up. "Are you arguing with Princess?" The soldier asked in a serious tone as he aimed his machine gun at Das.
Das turned his head towards the soldier and stared into his eyes. A mocking smile formed on Das’s face.
"Agent Mu, put that gun away, and you two leave us alone." Amara said it seriously with an annoyed look.
"Yes, princess." Agent Mu bowed and stared at Das from head to toe before leaving with another guy.
"Das, I’m sorry for their behavior. I’m genuinely worried for your life. You have good administration abilities. I know how you controlled this city within a few days of your rule. I just want to keep you safe for the future benefit." Princess Amara replied, trying to cover up the fact that she is angry at Das for meeting Mona, the Taurus family princess.
"Princess, if you really trust me, allow me to participate in this war. I promise on my life that I will make sure you win this war." Das replied in a serious tone before gulping the hot tea in one go.
Amara stared at Das for a long time. She fell into a dilemma as she failed to convince Das to not to participate in this war. Even though she has doubts about Das’s loyalty, Amara decided to allow him to participate in the war, as Das had promised his life.
From what she knew about Das, Amara couldn’t ignore his promise and stop him from participating in this war. Read exclusive adventures at novelbuddy
Amara took a deep breath before speaking. "Das, I don’t know how you survived against Aries family attacks or captured Luis. But I always believed in your character.

If you are a betrayer to my family, you could have already sided with the Aries family in past situations where I failed to protect you. Sorry for doubting you... please join the war and fight alongside me." Amara said in a serious tone while staring at Das with a determined look.
A deep silence formed after Amara made her decision. Das stared at her for a long time and stood up from his seat.
"Thank you, Princess. I will repay your favor by winning this war for your family." Das replied while hands sacked into his pockets.
Amara also stood up and faced him with a nod. After exchanging a few more words, Das decided to leave her for the night.
"Das, it’s already too late. The third tent in the central row is empty. Please take rest for the night." Amara suggested with a casual smile.
After checking the time on his watch, Das exchanged an understanding nod with Amara and left, walking towards the empty camp.
Several thoughts running through Das’s head. "Gaining the trust of this cold lady is a tough task. I must make this war a tool to gain Amara’s trust. Sigh... This war is going to be more exciting than I thought." Das muttered while entering the camp.
He took out his shoes, loosened his robes, and fell flat on the hard bed. Before closing his eyes, Das took out his regular mobile and set up an alarm for the early morning. The task of rescuing Luna from the Reddy family forced marriage is still in due.
Putting aside all his worries, Das closed his eyes for a peaceful sleep. But fate has different plans for him.
Just as he closed his eyes, someone entered in his tent silently.
