Building The First Adventurer Guild In Another World-Chapter 206: Guild War [ 3 ]
The battle raged on with an intensity that felt almost surreal. Just moments ago, the battlefield had been a chaotic whirlwind of steel and bodies, but now it was gradually transforming into smaller pockets of combat, each one flaring up and dying down like flames in a burning forest.
The Guild plaza trembled with every impact, fractured stone grinding beneath the weight of boots. Shockwaves slammed against walls, causing pillars to crack and dust to rain down from above.
BOOM!
BANG!
The sounds overlapped endlessly, each strike loud enough to rattle the bones of anyone caught too close.
Mina navigated the chaos with sharp precision and practiced ease. Her small frame blurred across the battlefield in streaks of gold, her boots barely touching the ground as she darted between four other Adventurers who had unknowingly formed a tight combat circle around her.
All four were 4-Star Master Knights, veterans hardened by years of survival, each presence powerful enough to sway the outcome in smaller skirmishes.
Yet, despite never having fought together before, they moved as if guided by an unspoken rhythm.
Not perfect but remarkably fluid. A black-clad knight lunged toward Mina from her left, his blade arcing down with lethal intent.
CLANG!
Her shield met the strike head-on, golden mana flashing as the force detonated outward.
BOOM!
The ground cracked beneath her feet as she absorbed the blow. Instead of retreating, she redirected the energy; her arms twisted just enough to deflect the blade off its course. In one seamless motion, she drove forward, slamming her shield into the knight’s chest like a battering ram.
His armor crumpled inward as he flew backward, breath knocked from his lungs. Before he even hit the ground, one of her Master Knight allies stepped in with a flash of steel.
A single clean arc severed his head from his shoulders. Blood sprayed into the air like a fountain before his body collapsed lifelessly.
Another attacker surged from Mina’s right followed by another and then another. The black-clad knights recognized their growing threat immediately.
They began converging, four... five... eight knights pushing inward in an attempt to break their formation. But they didn’t wait long; the burliest among them, a tall man marked by scars across his face and arms, stepped forward first, swinging his greatsword wide in a brutal horizontal arc.
BANG!
His blade collided with two incoming strikes at once; sparks exploded outward as he forced them apart through sheer strength. He planted his foot firmly and twisted his body for follow-through, a rising strike that cleaved through one opponent’s torso, splitting armor and flesh before sending the corpse crashing backward.
Behind Mina, a woman wielding twin short swords moved like a shadow, her movements fluid and precise. She ducked beneath a spear thrust, rolled under another blade, and drove both weapons into an enemy’s ribs. With a swift twist, she pulled them free, pivoted, and kicked another attacker squarely in the knee, a crack echoed even over the chaos of battle.
Mina was already on the move again. Her shield glowed brighter now, golden lines pulsing across its surface as she dashed forward.
BOOM!
She collided with another knight at full speed. The impact sounded like a cannon blast; the man’s feet left the ground entirely before he crashed through a broken pillar, stone shattering around him. Without hesitation, Mina followed through, spinning mid-motion to bring the edge of her shield down.
CRACK!
The reinforced rim crushed into his helmet, caving it inward. She didn’t pause to check if he was dead; she was already turning as destruction intensified around them.
Walls fractured from stray shockwaves while sections of the plaza crumbled under repeated impacts. Nearby buildings trembled as two combatants crashed through their outer facades, debris cascading down like rain. Above them, the golden barrier hummed louder now, absorbing the violent energy erupting below.
The four Master Knights instinctively adjusted their formation, closing ranks around Mina as they pushed forward, carving a path through the black-clad forces. With each exchange, their coordination sharpened; every movement seamlessly fed into the next, with Mina anchoring the center like a pivotal force.
Suddenly, an enemy charged at her, a heavier foe, aura flaring ominously. His blade descended with terrifying speed. Mina raised her shield just in time.
CLANG!
The shockwave erupted outward, dislodging chunks of stone from the surrounding walls. She felt her feet slide backward across the ground, her boots carving grooves into the plaza floor as her arms trembled under the impact.
But she held firm. Her eyes narrowed with determination. Golden light flared once more as she stepped forward instead of retreating. The enemy hesitated for just a fraction of a second.
That hesitation was all it took. One of the Master Knights behind her lunged in, his blade piercing through the man’s exposed side. Another followed up with a brutal downward strike that split his shoulder open.
Mina twisted her body and drove her shield upward; the edge caught under his chin.
CRACK!
The knight’s head snapped back violently before he collapsed to the ground. The battle surged around them.
BOOM!
BANG!
CLANG!
Every direction echoed with sounds of impact, the plaza transformed into a shattered warzone filled with broken stone, fallen bodies, and clashing energies. The air was thick with the smell of blood and dust; each breath felt heavy and raw.
Yet amidst it all, Mina felt... focused. Her body moved instinctively before her thoughts could catch up, reacting to openings in defense or offense, covering allies when necessary. The petite girl who once struggled to keep pace now darted through the battlefield like a golden comet, her shield flashing brightly and her presence undeniable.
A black-clad knight charged at her from behind. She sensed him coming and pivoted quickly; her shield came up just in time.
BANG!
The blow ricocheted off harmlessly as she rotated her hips and slammed her shoulder forward, using her momentum to hurl the attacker into another incoming enemy. They collided and fell together just as one of the Master Knights stepped in decisively to finish them both off with a brutal double strike.
Their formation tightened again, breathing heavily but unbroken, as more enemies rushed toward them. More steel clashed against steel; more shockwaves rippled through the air as another section of wall crumbled nearby, debris crashing down at the edge of their battlefield. A pillar snapped under a stray attack’s force, sending its top half crashing down and crushing two combatants beneath it.
Mina darted forward once more, her shield glowing like a miniature sun as she crashed into another opponent. Just in time, she spun away from a blade aimed at her neck. A Master Knight intercepted the attack mid-swing, their weapons colliding with a resounding CLANG that sent both combatants skidding backward.
In that moment, a woman wielding twin swords slipped between them and dispatched the attacker with a swift, precise thrust. For an instant, the five warriors stood back-to-back, ready for whatever came next. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
The battlefield roared around them, and then they sprang into action again.
