The Snake of Akasha—Michael Roa Valdamjong.
One of the original Twenty-seven Dead Apostle Ancestors. Formerly a priest of the Church and the founder of the prototype Burial Agency, he later betrayed the Church.
He tricked the True Ancestor—the White Princess, into letting him suck her blood, thereby usurping part of her power and becoming a Dead Apostle—a mad Magus obsessed with eternal life.
In the records of the Holy Church, he is known as the "Infinite Reincarnator." Focused on the soul rather than the flesh, he possesses the ability of infinite reincarnation.
Among Dead Apostles, however, he is called the "Snake." Just as a snake sheds its skin and grows a new one in an endless cycle, Roa repeats his cycle of life and death—hence the name "Snake."
However, due to deceiving the White Princess, he thoroughly angered her. In every reincarnation, his body is hunted down and obliterated into slag by the White Princess. To date, this is...
"The sixteenth life, isn't it," the youthful-looking, black-haired young man, appearing about sixteen years old, stated indifferently.
This was a remote alley in a small town outside Paris, France.
The black-haired youth was, naturally, The Snake of Akasha—Roa.
Roa looked expressionlessly at his own fair hands. This body was one he had carefully selected during his fifteenth life as the next vessel for reincarnation. After being blasted again by the White Princess fourteen years ago, he had reincarnated into this body, only just awakening now.
"Too frail." Roa pursed his lips in dissatisfaction.
Although it was a carefully chosen body, without training or modification, it was merely at the level of an ordinary teenager.
However, underestimating the current Roa would be a grave mistake. After all, Roa, specializing in the soul, possessed formidable mental magecraft, not to be underestimated. Someone like Tohsaka Tokiomi? Ten of him wouldn't be enough for Roa to handle with one hand.
"Well then—feed, and find the body for the next life." Roa's cold gaze peered out from the alley. He understood that the moment he awakened, that beautiful White Princess likely woke from her slumber as well, preparing to hunt him down once more.
Therefore, sucking human blood to restore his power and finding the body for his next life were the immediate priorities.
As for why Roa didn't resist the White Princess—because whenever he recalled the image of her furious gaze blasting him to smithereens, feeling that agony, he became excited, almost orgasmic. How could such a Roa resist the White Princess? Although, he didn't have the strength to resist anyway.
Roa, having been killed fifteen times, seemed to have awakened some special attribute.
"Hmm?"
Just then, Roa's gaze narrowed slightly.
Within his line of sight, a young girl, about eight or nine years old, wearing a deep blue nun's habit with a white shawl, a silver necklace around her neck, skipped past him.
Her pure white, slightly curled hair cascaded down to her waist. Her delicate, childlike face, paired with incredibly fair skin and innocent golden eyes, made her an utterly adorable little loli—the kind that would make any gentleman fervently declare that even a death sentence would be worth it.
Roa's dark eyes seemed to blaze, his gaze fixed desirously on the loli walking past, as if desperate to devour her.
Quite literally—devour! her!
Because Roa had a peculiar habit: he liked to suck a person's blood while appreciating their despairing gaze, and then consume the corpse. After all, being fed upon by him meant the person was about to become the lowest level of ghoul, his Dead Apostle progeny.
For some reason, Roa was unwilling to let the power he usurped from the White Princess spread; he wished for this power to be exclusively his own.
"That girl? Does she have a special constitution?" Roa licked his lips, a bloodthirsty, crazed expression appearing as he began to tail the little loli, starting his pursuit.
Roa, having lived for centuries and engaged in extensive predation in each reincarnation, had long since maxed out his stalking skills. At least to the passersby on the street, Roa merely looked like he was wandering aimlessly.
No one noticed he was following the charming and adorable little girl ahead, including the girl herself.
Roa followed the little girl unhurriedly, watching the bouncing figure ahead, his eyes wary. Even if he confirmed she posed no threat, Roa remained cautious.
After all, his current body was just that of an ordinary teenager; the possibility of failing unexpectedly still existed.
Roa silently followed the little girl until he saw the church in the distance, at which point he stopped.
From the church's architecture, he sensed a familiar aura—the aura of the Church's sacred arts. As a former member of the Church, Roa naturally understood the danger of entering a church, hence his pause.
"A trap?" Roa frowned, his gaze flickering uncertainly towards the little girl ahead.
"No, unlikely!" Roa refuted his earlier inference. Judging by the little girl's Church attire and movements, she clearly looked like a playful child happily returning home after finishing activities with her playmates.
Roa, proficient in soul magecraft, could sense the joyful and happy emotions radiating from the girl's mental fluctuations. And from his perception, there were only three priests present in the church opposite.

Although one possessed the aura of a Church Executor, the other two were merely at the level of missionaries who had learned sacred arts.
Roa glanced around. Since it was evening, smoke curled up from the chimneys of the quiet town, clearly indicating people were cooking dinner. Consequently, there were very few pedestrians on the road, and by the time they reached the church, it was completely deserted.
Roa walked to a stone by the roadside.
"Ouch!!!"
A cry of pain made the little girl ahead stop. She leaped lightly, spinning in mid-air to look behind her.
"Eh, Big Brother, did you fall down?" The little girl skipped forward, coming up to Roa and attempting to help him up.
The girl's delicate face frowned slightly, her complexion slightly flushed, clearly showing she was exerting herself.
"...Yes, little sister, thank you." Roa showed an 'embarrassed' expression, grasping the girl's hand and allowing himself to be pulled up.
"It's okay, the Lord taught me to do good deeds often. Also, my name isn't little sister, I'm Caren!" Caren pouted, her tender voice carrying a hint of dissatisfaction.
"Yes, do good deeds often, that's indeed what the Church teaches children. Well then, little sister! Could you do Big Brother a favor?" Roa's mouth stretched into a wide, bloodthirsty smile.
"I'd like to drink your sweet blood!!"
"...Is Big Brother a vampire? An enemy of the Lord?" Caren's eyes sparkled as she looked at Roa. Seeing his sharp fangs, she spoke with delighted surprise.
"That's right, Big Brother is..."
