Cartel Experience-Chapter 68: Together
At that moment, it all made sense to Matteo, and of course it made sense. Everything just came together like a puzzle.
The way Arlo was smiling while chopping off the heads, the way he didn’t seem to care about the brutality of it, the way he didn’t even have a single bad thought about it... now it all made sense.
He killed his own father, not just killed him but chopped off his head... and well for Arlo, there is nothing that can get into his head. There is no darkness for those who are already born in the darkness, for those who are for the darkness, those who gave themselves to it, to be engulfed by it and mix it with the experience he had as a child.
He grew up in it, where violence wasn’t an answer for everything, but it was everything. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
There were no answers, no questions, just straight-up violence. That is what he saw, that is what he experienced, and that is why he doesn’t give a single fuck about any of it, that is why it doesn’t get to his head.
He is different in every aspect, and not in the right way, not even in the wrong way, not even in the evil way. He is just straight up suffering, like a man created by God who is responsible for others’ torment. Because that is what he does, and he only does it to those who deserve it, those who do something terrible
It is not even vengeance, it is just punishment for their sins.
Yeah, he kills because the world demands it, because those who act in darkness must pay in darkness, because sins must have consequences, and mercy is wasted on those who have no claim to it.
He is not evil, not righteous.... he is just the embodiment of consequence.
"Are you good, Matteo?" Arlo asked as he was frozen down, just staring right up ahead.
"Yeah, just, you know, getting it all together." He said as he eyed him, but even that was just fucking terrifying as Arlo was covered with blood.
"Oh well, it’s better to get yourself together quickly, because I’m going to do some very interesting things with him." He pointed to the side where the gang member was already up and trying to scream, though his mouth was taped.
"I don’t really need to watch it."
"You need to. I am sorry." Arlo immediately said as he eyed him. "You know you need to hear what he says because you are more trustworthy than me."
"What?"
"I mean, I am a maniac who chops people up and finds pleasure torturing others, so I need somebody to hear what he says... someone who is all right up here." He pointed to his head. "So yeah, you need to hear what he tells us and then say it to César."
Now it was something that made no sense to Matteo, as they are both members of the Sierra family, not just members but the pillars of it and now Arlo said that he needs to hear what the gang member says so nobody will doubt him about it.
"Are you fucking with me? To stay and watch what you do?" Matteo asked.
Arlo first said nothing, just held the moment with Matteo, and then a smile appeared on his face. "Well, yeah, but shit, you still need to hear what he says." He laughed as his plan folded quickly... he just wanted Matteo to watch.
"No, I am not staying." Matteo continued. "First, the smell of the blood is fucking with me. Second, you need to clean it, as this is the fucking headquarters of us, and if you don’t fucking remember, there’s Éden down there." He pointed down. "And second, gang members will come to see why the fuck their goons are not moving around, and when they do, we need to protect all of it. And I don’t want to slip on the blood, so clean this shit up, and then we can torture him."
Well, Matteo snapped a bit, but to be true, he had all his right to snap and be angry.
They came to clean the house, and they did. Yeah, there was a bit of blood, but that would have been easy to clean it up, but now Arlo had fucking blooded everything, walls, the ceiling, everything was splattered with blood that would take a lot of time to fucking clean.
Not even talking about the smell itself and in all that, there was still one gang member alive who needed to be tortured... it all felt like a fucking butcher house.
But to be sure, that’s exactly why César summoned Arlo, and even then it was a lot.
Like originally, the plan was to use the house as the headquarters, but now it was filled with blood that would never stop smelling, and it was even a surprise to César himself because they had arrived.
"Woah." The first word that came out of his mouth as he stepped in the door, just looking at Arlo. "I see you didn’t really hold yourself back."
"The smell hit me before even getting in the house," Hugo said, covering his nose. "Was it necessary, Arlo?"
"Necessary?" Arlo giggled. "It was important to do it, as this can be a message, and we know seeing a chopped head has a shock factor, so it will work as a bug repellent, just repelling the gangs."
"At least one is alive." César said as he looked back at Arlo. "So make him speak."
"Right now?"
"Yeah, we need to know some info about them, so make him spill all of it." César said as he eyed Arlo, and he felt it and saw it... somehow, in that moment, César was like a monster standing in front of Arlo. His eyes just swirled at him out of nowhere, even without being aggressive.
"I—"
"Before that, it would be good to look at what we have found," Matteo cut in, interrupting Arlo. "There are a lot of products downstairs."
"Products?" Hugo asked back, his eyes sparking up.
"Éden, enough to start the family."
