CASSANDRA: The Unfavored Princess-Chapter 140: Offer

Princess Cassandra walked towards the window as she saw outside.

Although she could not see anyone there, Princess Cassandra could feel people’s thoughts. They were curious about her. They were confused why she wasn’t doing anything unusual after so many days.

Princess Cassandra smiled as she closed the window. ’Block outside’s influence.’ Princess Cassandra said as she blocked everything out.

She knew that Amy would take long and till that time Princess Cassandra planned on trying her new powers out.

"You seem happy." A voice said, frightening Princess Cassandra.

Cassandra touched her chest as she looked at the man who suddenly pulled her into his arms. "When did you come?" Princess Cassandra’s voice was soft as she closed her eyes.

The warmth of Duke Salvador’s hug was intoxicating her. Princess Cassandra could not help but smile as her hands hugged Aiden softly. The slight touch of fingers on his back made Duke Salvador’s arms tighter around the fifth Princess.

Aiden could not help but place a kiss on Princess Cassandra’s forehead. "Butterfly?"

"Hmm .." Princess Cassandra snuggled into Aiden’s chest.

"When everything is over, will you marry me?"

Princess Cassandra’s mind went blank. Her body stopped to react as her eyes widened. Princess Cassandra could not help but look up into Duke Salvador’s gaze. Her ruby red eyes were staring at her cornflower blue eyes.

Princess Cassandra could see the seriousness in Duke Salvador’s gaze. She tried to take a step back but Duke Salvador’s hold on her tightened, making it hard for the fifth Princess to move.

"Are you sure?" Princess Cassandra managed to say. There was a shiver in her voice.

Aiden ran his hand over her hair and slightly touched her cheeks. "I had asked the Emperor to let me marry whoever I want. To be honest I never thought that I might use the scroll and only wanted it so that the Emperor would not force me to marry one of the Princesses. But I want to use that power now. I want to marry you butterfly."

Duke Salvador rested his forehead on Princess Cassandra’s as he looked into her eyes. "I never knew that I would be in love with anyone. But I do not know when but my eyes started searching for you. I wanted to be close to you. You were mysterious and interesting, but at the same time, you were innocent and naive. I wanted to have you. And I still want to have you."

"I want to see you laugh but I want you to laugh with me. I want you to smile when you see something unique but I want you to experience it with me. I want you to be happy but I want you to be happy with me."

Aiden smiled as his nose touched Princess Cassandra’s. Their breaths were exchanged. "I become jealous easily but that is because I do not want to lose you. For a long time, I felt that maybe Achard was a step faster than me. But I do not want to take any chances now. When I saw you with him today, smiling and talking, it made me doubt my own judgment. So my butterfly." Aiden rubbed his thumb on Princess Cassandra’s cheek. "Help me with my own heart. Be the owner of it and give yourself to me. Marry me when everything is over and make me the happiest man in the world. Will you?"

Princess Cassandra’s eyes were filled with water. She did not expect Duke Salvador to say such things to her. A man who was known to be cruel and selfish. A man she was so afraid of had somehow become the most important man in her life. The sudden realization made Princess Cassandra shiver.

Cassandra was filled with emotions. She could not speak even if she wanted to. She feared that once she opened her mouth, a cry would be heard. Princess Cassandra looked into Duek Salvador’s hopeful eyes.

A smile formed on Cassandra’s face. She simply nodded as tears rolled down her cheeks.

Aiden who was confused by the fifth Princess’s reaction pulled her into his arms again as he kissed her. Her soft lips tasted salty due to her crying but Aiden did not care, instead, it tasted as sweet as honey.

Princess Cassandra was mesmerized as her breathing increased as Aiden’s attack on her lips became wilder. It was as if he wanted to consume her. Aiden’s tongue soon invaded Princess Cassandra’s mouth as it explored every nook and turn.

Soon, Princess Cassandra was getting breathless. She struggled but Aiden refused to let her go. After a soft struggle, Duke Salvador gave Princess Cassandra some space to breathe.

Princess Cassandra took deep breaths as her face turned pink. She could not believe what she had just promised the Duke.

’I agreed to marry him.’

Princess Cassandra said as she touched her face in shock. Her eyes still held the disbelief in them. Duke Salvador, who was observing Princess Cassandra’s every action, smiled.

Amy walked into the kitchen in search of the information. Her eyes looked around to see the most talkative maid.

Once Amy spotted her, she did not waste any time as she walked towards her and asked, "Do you have any fruits that are good for the stomach? Princess Cassandra is not used to traveling."

The maid nodded as she gave Amy a fruit that she had never seen before. Confused, Amy asked for instructions on how to cut it.

While working Amy started talking to herself. "The Vivere Kingdom is a beautiful place. Princess Cassandra liked your Kingdom too. She even hoped that she would have been born here rather than Elvira Empire but."

Amy sighed as she continued. "She and I are still happy that we experienced living in the Vivere Kingdom once."

The maid smiled as she said. "Yes, we have beautiful mountains and lakes. Even our fruits and flowers are far more beautiful than what the Empire has to offer."

Amy nodded. Now that she had got the maid talking, Amy needed to be more careful. Amy looked around as she made sure that no one else was near them.

"So true. We would not have been able to eat such new and exciting fruits. But Princess Cassandra is still a little worried. She feels like Princess Teimei does not like her. Princess Cassandra feels if another Princess from the Elvira Empire might have come here then maybe Princess Teimei would be happier."

The maid shook her head. "No Princess Teimei likes the fifth Princess. I heard she was planning to talk the Princess to the Kir mountain in the next two weeks to show her the snow."

Amy’s eyes narrowed. "Yes, Princess Teiimei was saying that. Princess Cassandra and I have never seen the snow in real life. We were not allowed to leave the palace in the Elvira Empire so we have never experienced anything like that before. Anyways, Princess Teimei is truly lucky. She has a loving brother like Prince Carl, I hope I had someone like that."

"Yes, they both love each other, but they do fight a lot." The maid said as she moved towards Amy. "I heard that Prince Carl and Princess Teimei are fighting."

"Is it?" Amy raised her eyes as she asked in shock. "How is it possible? They look so loving. What might cause them to fight? I hope it is not something huge."

The maid shook her head. "No, Princess Teimei is angry that she received some false news from the Prince. She said all her planning had been wasted."

Amy’s face looked sad as she said in a sorrowful tone. "I hope they sort everything out."

The maid nodded as she agreed. But it was not the only information Amy craved for. She wanted something else.

Amy smiled as she took the plate of fruits and she said her goodbyes to the maid and made her way towards Princess Teimei’s room.

Amy was stopped outside by the guard who then called Princess Teimei’s lady in waiting. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Amy smiled as she gave the fruit plate to her. "Princess Cassandra said her thanks for taking her out today. She enjoyed it a lot."

Princess Teimei’s lady in waiting nodded her head as she smiled. "Princess is with the Prince. Once she returns I will convey the message to her."

Amy smiled as she murmured. "Her brother? I hoped Princess Cassandra would meet her brother soon."

Princess Teimei’s lady in waiting raised her eyebrows. "Is Princess Cassandra missing her family member?"

Everyone near the royal knew that Princess Cassandra was their priority. They wanted to keep her in the Vivere KIngdom and keep her happy. If the fifth Princess started missing the Elvira Empire and decided to go back, that would not be in their favor.

Amy’s eyes shined at the question but she soon covered it up. "Yes, Princess Cassandra is missing her sister and brother. They were truly close."

"Oh, but she can meet them soon." Princess Teimei’s lady in waiting said in excitement. "The first Princess and the third Prince will be here for vacation within two weeks."
