Chapter 245: Chapter 245: God Soldier

"Let’s say I need as much as you can provide." Tommy smiled.

Crow glanced toward Mater.

’I heard it’s currently 800 credits per pill at the moment. Ask him how much he’ll pay for a 1,000 pills batch.’ Mater communicated with Crow.

Crow raised a finger, "1,000 pills. Your price is?"

Tommy rubbed his chin. "Currently the price on the street is 800 credits a pop. Of course, that is not the wholesale price. We need to make a profit, aren’t we? I’ll take 1,000 pills for 500 credits each."

Mater stroked his whiskers in deep thought. 500 credits for 1,000 pills was 500,000 credits. It was big money. But Tommy wasn’t really honest either.

They were a crime family, selling the pill would make a profit. But Mater suspected that they would like to keep the pills for themselves and only sell those that they didn’t need. The pills, in a way, were a form of power for the Mafia. They could make their lowest level grunt to become average, capable of fighting with low level Psychic.

’Tell them we’ll sell them for 800 credits each. Just like the street. Try to negotiate for a minimum of 700 credits."

Crow nodded.

Tommy caught that nod. It didn’t take a genius to figure out that Crow was communicating with someone.

This made Tommy reevaluate this ally he had. There was obviously no other stranger in the club. Sparrow was only a Menace, so he wasn’t the ’Master’ that Crow talked about.

’Who ever this Master is... They aren’t weak... A Psychic that could communicate from so far away won’t be a nobody.’ Tommy thought to himself.

"We’ll sell them to you for the price on the street. 800 credits." Crow said.

Tommy smiled, "You know that’s the reason for the high price was because the Adrenal Synthesizer is rare these days, right? If you can consistently provide it, it won’t have that price any more."

"Maybe. But we’re exclusive. Only us can provide you with this pill. And don’t play ignorant, Tommy. We’re all big boys here. The impact of the HAS upon your family will be... noticable." Crow said.

Tommy stepped back to his capos. They whispered amongst themselves.

Crow didn’t care. A ring girl came over to help him wipe his sweat. The girl was surprised to see he had no sweat at all.

"It’s alright, darling. I don’t need it." Crow said.

The ring girl gulped and walked away. Crow’s appearance was strange but it wasn’t repulsive at all. Instead, there was a certain mystery to him.

"Can I... Can I have your number, sir?" The ring girl said.

Crow chuckled. He didn’t answer and simply gestured for the girl to move away. He was an Abomination, not human. He couldn’t be in love. Additionally, he was Mater’s servant as well. His will was what Crow prioritized above all.

"You know. It’s alright if you want to find some love." The black cat meowed.

’How can I love a human, Master?’ Crow communicated telepathically.

’Not right now. You can’t. But if you reach Rank-4... That’s another story.’

Rank-4 was what people in Mater’s old world used to call the breaker of chains. It would allow for most supernatural paths to break free of their body.

For Warlock, the fourth Rank was where they could freely manipulate their body. At that point, whether you’re a human or a cat, it wouldn’t matter. Because a Warlock could transform into anything.

Tommy returned, "We will buy the first batch for 800 credits. The second and third for 700 credits. From the fourth batch, we can only buy it for 600 credits."

’What do you think, Master?’ Crow said.

’Tell Tommy we’ll think about it. We need to confirm with Leslie first.’

Making the pills would also cost money. Mater would need a thorough discussion with Leslie to make sure everything was alright.

"I’ll notice my Master. We will inform you later." Crow said.

Tommy squinted his eyes, ’Do they have another client? Probably so. Crow seems to be able to communicate with his Master already so that was a pure lie.’

"Of course. We await your good news. About the Trial of Combat. It will take place during the full moon this month. We will give you the location later."

"Sounds good." Crow nodded.

Crow and Sparrow left the Fight Club. The cat lay on Crow’s shoulders on their way out.

’I need some souls and Chaos Singularities to resurrect Bash. Crow could advance to Rank-2 immediately with the bronze disk... But he needs to attend the Trial so I couldn’t do that yet...’ 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

With Selina attending school, bounty hunting was also put to a stop. Mater could hunt the wraiths on his own but that would yield no credits nor tokens.

The black cat was seriously thinking of hunting alone.

’Selina would suffer a penalty either way unless she got to Silver Rank. She also needs to focus on studying to refine her skills. She’s still too weak for now...

Wait a minute!’

Mater looked down at Crow. The Abomination was currently disguising as Assassin in the Atlas Seven. The Atlas Seven was a Psychic Organization. They could take the rare Government Contract that the usual couldn’t.

"Does the Atlas Seven have a good amount of Bounties and Contracts, Crow?" The black cat meowed.

"More than they could chew, Master. The people at the Atlas Seven are surprisingly incompetent. Even their trump card, Titan, is a fool. He is very powerful but never trains nor learns new skills. If It was Miss Isles, she would probably reach Rank-2 already. Not stuck at peak Rank-1 like most of them. There are... however, a few people in Atlas Seven that reached Rank-2."

"Such as?"

"The God Soldier."

"Huh?"

"Not just any soldier. But the first soldier to ever use the Genetic Optimization Drive. It made him Rank-2 instantly and even capable of reaching Rank-3. He was a legend back in the Great War."

"What happened?"

"Missing in Action. At the Battle of Blackfield, the God Soldier sealed the Void Gate at one of their hotspots of the Great War."

"I guess he didn’t return from the Void?"

Crow nodded.

"This Atlas Seven has a lot of confidential information, huh?"

Mater had access to the Atlas Seven Database but other than Psycho and Psionic Skills, he really didn’t spend much time reading the classified information. Crow on the other hand had spent quite of his free time learning many things to better disguise as Assassin.

"We’re going to need a lot of Singularities and souls, Crow. It’s time for us to go one a hunt."
