The Captain of Las Khan Police Department was enjoying a cigarette outside when he saw a crowd of women being marched toward the station.

"What the hell?"

He quickly snuffed the cigarette and banged on the window.

"Come out, boys! There might be trouble!"

Captain Lenoir pulled out his revolver as the other policemen rushed outside. Each held a shotgun in their hands.

"Stop right there." Lenoir led the policemen to face the crowd. "State your business."

Crow and Mater were at the front of the crowd.

Crow showed them his Ankh Badge and typed into the device.

"I am Assassin. A Psychic of the Atlas Seven. We have just destroyed the terrorist settlement in the west. These are the innocent people that were with them."

"Terrorist?" Lenoir raised an eyebrow. "Isn’t that place just a squatter settlement?"

Crow dashed forward, appearing right in front of Lenoir. He snatched the revolver out of his hand and pushed Lenoir to the ground.

The other policemen pointed their guns at Crow.

"Stop! Bullets won’t work!" Lenoir shouted. He was wise enough to know with that kind of speed, guns were useless. He must prevent his men from committing suicide.

Crow typed in the device.

"These women were kidnapped. They were going to be sold. This was happening for a long while. And yet, you let them exist." The mechanical voice echoed.

Lenoir’s lips trembled, "We... We didn’t know..."

Crow clenched his fists. He used Chaos to express his emotion instead of the device.

"LIAR!" The voice came from every direction as the dark power of Nether blasted away.

All the policemen stepped back a little.

Crow took out a letter and threw it on the ground.

"A letter I found in the settlement. It mentioned how you get a cut from all of this." The mechanical voice echoed again.

Lenoir’s eyelids fluttered. He looked around as the policemen scattered away from him.

"I... I... Shit!"

Lenoir stood up and ran. Crow aimed the revolver at his back and shot Lenoir with his own gun.

The Fake Assassin then threw the gun on the ground.

"I have already informed the DSI. They will take over this area. No one leaves this place until they have confirmed your innocence."

All the policemen looked at each other. They knelt down with their hands behind their head.

Aircrafts quickly arrived and landed inside Las Khan. The Union had mobilized the Department of Supernatural Interference and a platoon of the national guard to deal with Las Khan’s corruption.

Crow and Mater met someone familiar here.

"Hello, boys." Colonel Neala said. She was the same commander that showed up in the White Seam Factory.

"Colonel? Aren’t you stationed in Aeliz?" Crow answered with the device.

"Do we know each other?" The Admiral smiled.

"I heard about you before."

"Well. I am still stationed in Aeliz. But the government needs my help in other areas so I have to take this role."

"I see."

Once everything was taken over, Crow and Mater left Las Khan on an aircraft.

They sat in the cargo area without anyone else around.

"Something’s bothering you, Crow?" The leopard growled.

"Nothing bothers me, Master. I just... I don’t understand why someone would do this." Crow said.

"You saw Aaron Cage’s memories before. Don’t you understand?" Mater replied.

"I saw it. But I don’t understand it."

"I see. It’s very simple, Crow. Sometimes they did it just because it feels good. Remember Lalo? What he did to you was similar."

"Lalo..." Crow squinted his white eyes.

"Wanna kill the bastard?" The leopard grinned widely.

Crow nodded, "But not right now. It will be such an easy out for him. I’d rather make him suffer first."

"That’s my boy! Hahahahaha!" The leopard laughed manically.

The pilot frowned. He turned over to see the leopard and Assassin acted like two super villains in the corner.

"What the..." He didn’t know what to think about it.

With the slaughtering of the settlement, Mater had acquired a soul sphere. Inside was a lot of soul that could be used to resurrect Bash.

He also had a lot of Chaos Spheres, enough to raise Selina and all the servants to Level 10.

After that, Mater could begin to advance the Servants to Rank-2. He had enough Chaos Singularities to do so.

Crow needed to stay at Rank-1 for a while because he also needed to represent the Luciente Family in the Trial of Combat.

’One thing at a time then. I wonder what my little goth girl is doing at the moment...’

When they returned to Aeliz, Crow reported back to Atlas Seven and continued pretending to be Assassin.

Mater removed his Mimicry Mask and flew back to the Institute. He spotted Selina doing laps across the field, training her body through Adaptive Physique.

The black cat landed on her head while he was running, causing Selina to stop suddenly.

She didn’t see him but she already knew it was him.

The goth girl picked him up.

"Hello there, Mr. Mater. How was your mission with Crow?" The goth girl said.

"Eh. Seven out of ten. The trip to the Confederation was great. I found out that the Brine is related to the Void. The second mission in Las Khan wasn’t that fun though. We have to clean out a lot of trash." The black cat meowed loudly.

It jumped out of her hand and slipped into her shirt.

"Wait, Mr. Mater! What are you doing? I am stinky!"

The black cat sniffed aggressively inside her shirt. He definitely didn’t find it repulsive.

"Stinky? Girl, if you’re stinky, then no one in the world smells good. Let papa taste these fragrant for a little bit."

"Ugh! You perverted cat!" She said so but didn’t do much to prevent him.

On the far side of the stadium, Lalo was sneaking around without Selina’s knowledge. He used binoculars to watch her from afar.

"That cat... She really loves it, huh?" Lalo smiled.

"What are you thinking, prince?" One of his ’friends’ said. They were more like his subordinates.

"Let’s try to kidnap that cat. Then I can help her find it. I bet once I do that, Selina will love me for sure." Lalo smirked.

"That cat is not weak, prince."

"Don’t worry. I’ll have the right people to do this."
