Celestial Human Diagram-Chapter 41 - 32: Astonishingly Breaking the Limit
Jiang Commission Office turned around and saw that Zhongwu and Chen Chuan were still standing in their original positions, as if they hadn’t moved at all. From his perspective, Zhongwu’s hands were already on Chen Chuan’s shoulders. A mocking smile touched the corners of his lips.
By this point, Chen Chuan had already won. But he didn’t stop. He unleashed another kick! Then a fourth, a fifth, a sixth...
Zhongwu’s body, weighing over 200 kilograms, should have collapsed once his will gave out. Instead, the force of Chen Chuan’s powerful kicks held him upright!
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
Chen Chuan’s speed was incredible. Apart from the head examiners present, the non-fighters—people like Jiang Commission Office, some of the medics, and even the assistant teachers with less-trained eyes—couldn’t see his kicks at all. All they could do was listen in a daze to the explosive cracks of one savage kick after another echoing through the venue!
After another moment, even Jiang Commission Office could tell something was wrong from Zhongwu’s eyes rolling back in his head and his body swaying like a pendulum.
The medical staff panicked and quickly shouted, "Hey, stop! Stop!"
"Didn’t you hear us? Stop, now!"
Chen Chuan acted as if he heard nothing, continuing to land kick after kick. Zhongwu was now like a deflating punching bag, with blood seeping from his eyes, ears, mouth, and nose.
Yet, every single one of the Wuyi teachers and instructors remained silently seated. Not one of them moved or spoke up to intervene.
Only when blood began to pool on the floor, with flecks of it spattering onto the desks on either side, did Master Gao finally speak. "That’s enough."
His voice wasn’t loud, but everyone present felt a vibration in their chests.
Chen Chuan froze. He allowed the massive body to fall forward, where it crashed heavily onto the floor. He slowly drew back his foot, smoothed out his slightly rumpled clothes, and adjusted his collar. His gaze dropped to the prone form of Zhongwu as he said calmly, "My name is Chen Chuan."
The examination hall fell silent for a moment, the only sound being the ragged, heavy breathing of those present.
After a good while, Jiang Commission Office finally reacted. He shot to his feet and demanded sharply, "You, candidate! We told you to stop earlier, didn’t you hear us?!"
Chen Chuan turned to face Jiang Commission Office and replied calmly, "I’m sorry, I didn’t hear you."
Hearing this, Jiang Commission Office narrowed his eyes, stared at Chen Chuan’s face, and said, "I think you did it on purpose!"
Chen Chuan said slowly, "The examiner didn’t stop me, so the exam was considered to be proceeding normally. I remember this is one of the exam regulations, and it’s also written on the public notice board." He looked at the head examiners seated there. "Isn’t that right?"
Master Gao reached for Chen Chuan’s file, glanced at it, and said, "Candidate Chen Chuan has defeated the advanced student assigned for the combat assessment. The process was in accordance with examination regulations. No scoring is necessary. He can be judged to have passed directly."
Yue Hong immediately followed up: "No objections. Passed!"
Bian Feng said in a deep voice, "Passed!"
"Passed!"
"Passed!"
"Passed!"
One after another, the examiners present announced their judgment without hesitation.
Jiang Commission Office couldn’t help but look at everyone in the room, his expression turning grim.
Yue Hong looked at Jiang Commission Office and urged him, "Jiang Commission Office, please sign the form. Of course, you don’t have to either." He smiled. "When a candidate defeats the senior student conducting the assessment, they automatically pass. That’s the rule here at Wuyi."
Master Gao said in a deep voice, "That’s right. That is Wuyi’s rule."
Everyone in the examination hall turned to look at Jiang Commission Office, now the focus of intense stares from the formidable Wuda instructors. Jiang Commission Office had yet to show a reaction, but his assistant felt his own heart about to pound out of his chest, his back breaking out in a cold sweat.
With a grim face, Jiang Commission Office snatched the form from his assistant’s trembling hands and took out a fountain pen to sign it. He pressed down so hard it seemed the nib would tear through the paper.
He was furious right now, not because Zhongwu had been defeated, but because he had lost a round in his struggle with the school’s administration and had been forced into making this decision.
After signing, he tossed the pen onto the table, folded his arms, and sat back down. He looked at Master Gao and the others, sneering inwardly. ’So what if one candidate passed? What use is a single person? The rules of the world will never change because of one man.’
Master Gao then said, "Take him away." The medical personnel, finally snapping out of the tense atmosphere, hurried forward. They placed Zhongwu on a stretcher and wheeled him away for treatment, while the remaining staff rushed to clean the examination area and wipe away the bloodstains.
Bian Feng said to Chen Chuan, "Chen, there’s nothing else for you here. Go back, pack your things, and wait for the school term to start."
Chen Chuan turned around, faced everyone, and bowed slightly. "Thank you, teachers."
Then he straightened up, picked up his things, and walked out through a side door into an outer corridor. By now, the sky had darkened. The lights inside the building, as well as the streetlamps on the School Office grounds, were already on.
He slowly walked out of the examination building and stood under the boundless night sky. He looked up for a moment, then reached into his pocket, took out the stick of beef jerky, tore off the wrapper, and put it in his mouth. As he chewed slowly, he said to himself:
’It’s delicious.’
