CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 2021 - 2029: Who Doesn’t Know Her
The young man saw James Black coming down at this moment, somewhat surprised.
"Brother Strongman, is there something going on?" The young man opened his mouth, the thick smell of wine was overwhelming, indicating he had drunk quite a bit tonight, yet he showed no signs of drunkenness, suggesting his drinking capacity must be quite good.
The young man walked toward James Black, raising his hand to rest on James Black’s shoulder, "How was tonight’s spring feast? Was it ecstatic?"
As the young man spoke, his words were accompanied by a lewd laugh.
"She seems to have a fever." James Black, ignoring the clarity in his heart, asked, "Do you have a thermometer?"
"A fever?" The young man withdrew his hand from James Black’s shoulder, "This woman is really a killjoy, isn’t she? Or perhaps, Brother Strongman, you tormented her enough to scare her sick with your prowess?"
James Black ignored the dirty words, not answering the young man but instead looking at the mute aunt, asking for a thermometer again.
Only then did the mute aunt react, nodding and walking a few steps to take an electronic thermometer from the drawer underneath the TV and handed it to James Black.
James Black took it, quietly thanked her, and then headed upstairs.
"Let’s go and have a look together." The young man said to the mute aunt, and the two followed James Black upstairs.
James Black was anxious, so he climbed two steps at a time. Inside the room, Jane Sampson was still asleep, seemingly unaware she was ill.
After falling asleep, she was very quiet, except that her face carried an abnormal blush and temperature.
By the time the young man and the mute aunt also entered, James Black had already measured Jane Sampson’s temperature.
It was a high fever of over 39 degrees.
The young man peeked and the first thing he saw was the woman lying in the bed with the quilt covering up to her chest. Her clothes couldn’t cover the collar, and there were red marks everywhere, some deep, some shallow, extending from behind her ear towards the part her clothes covered, seemingly elusive.
The young man’s eyes lit up, and he whistled, "Brother Strongman, seems tonight went pretty well~"
Hearing the voice behind him, James Black turned his head and said to the young man, "She needs to be sent to the hospital; the fever may be caused by the injury on her arm."
"Send to the hospital? Brother Strongman, you’re kidding me, right?" The young man’s voice suddenly raised, "This is Jane Sampson, who doesn’t know her nationwide? If you send her to the hospital, do you believe you won’t be able to come back! She’s just a woman, you’ve tasted her, if she can withstand it, she lives, if she becomes an idiot from the fever, just dispose of her. Who would be foolish enough to send her to the hospital?"
The mute aunt shouted a few times beside him and made some gestures.
The young man helped translate, "The mute aunt says there are antipyretics downstairs, just feed her a couple; if they work, fine, if not, then whatever."
James Black’s mind had only one sentence, that is, no.
Jane Sampson is weak, with a high fever and an injured arm, making it hard to recover on her own.
Taking some ordinary antipyretics would not help Jane Sampson’s situation much, especially since her body was already weaker than ordinary people and now has an injury.
He feared the longer he waited, the worse it would become.
"Aren’t people outside already assuming she’s dead?" James Black said, "In that case, what’s there to worry about? I want to take her to the hospital for a fever-reducing injection, and have the injury on her arm checked."
"Right, people outside already think she’s dead, but her face, who doesn’t recognize it? If you take her out and people see her face, it will definitely cause a stir, attract others’ attention, so I don’t allow you to take her to the hospital."
