Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 270: Friends and Frenemies -IV
Knives and daggers were drawn out. The blood vow was something sacred and left behind years ago by generations when values mattered the least and power the most. Yet it prevailed because of its sacrality. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Since it was Salvador who had proposed the idea, he was the first one who had pierced a line on his hand and let the droplets fall into a makeshift fire that they had started on the terrace.
Next was Samuel who repeated the same steps followed by Adrian and Giovanni. Matvey and vincenzo cuts on their palm at the same time but it was the Russian who let the droplets fall into the first.
"I vow," all of them said at once in harmony, "to never The alliance. If done, I would accept the penance."
Everyone watch the fire as it roared, like it was understanding everywhere and the heavy meaning that it had in it.
"It’s done, Mi Amigos," The Spaniard said, "it’s our war now," He gave a pointed glance at Adrian Murphy and Salvatore Alessandro, "our families and enemies," he looked at Matvey, "and our profits and gain."
"Ours." The men repeated.
Theirs.

Evelyn huffed a breath out before she shook her head.
He was supposed to return to her and after the chat that they had had the previous night, she kind of expected to be woken up right next to him. But as expected, Salvatore was out of the bed and had a house by the time she had woken up.
An entire day had gone by and she still had no clue where her husband was. Apparently, no one else did as well. When she called Dante and Alfonso, the two people who always knew where he was unlike his wife, they also came short with the answer.
"What do you mean you do not know where he is?" Evelyn, for once said like yelling at the top of her lungs. "Alfonso, you are supposed to make sure that you know where he is at all times!"
Not like the don needed to babysitting, but in case of emergency or security issues, his location needed to be known by someone.
"He did not tell me where he was going, and he did not add it to his schedule as well, Madam." She could hear how tired he was through the phone. "I apologise for this, this will never happen again but as far as I know, he had his private jet ready."
"private jet? Where did he go?"
"Only the pilot news, Madam." Alfonso answered. "And when I called him, his instructions were clear that he is to not reveal the information to anyone."
So no one knew was Salvador was. Giving him a quick goodbye, Evelyn hung up on the assistant before walking back to the backyard where the swings were. The three little monkeys were climbing and swinging and yelling at each other making her smile forget about Salvatore for a moment.
"What happened?" Angelo came to stand next to her. "Did you find out where he went?"
Evelyn gave him a glance before turning to look at where he was looking. As a beautiful grandfather, he often relieved his daughter and his daughter-in-law to watch the children. One might find it hard to believe, but Angelo was full of surprises.
Or maybe he was a family man inside his heart and was now finally capable of showing it.
She answered his question, "Not yet. I called almost everyone and no one knows where he went apart from the fact that he took a flight."
"Hmm," he hummed lazily, " you should keep him on a tight leash."
Startled, Evelyn turned to look at him. Did he really say that about his son?
" Do you know there was a time when I did not tell Alexis where I was going? She wouldn’t usually know because I would keep it to a day short but I was gone out of house for two days and she was pregnant with Salvatore," he chuckled, " three culinary sets were thrown on my head before I could get to her."
Woah, Alexa is the bad ass bitch.
"Why are you telling me this?" She swallowed uneasily, "Should you not be the one telling me to respect your son no matter what?"
He turned his neck to look at her and smiled, but a deadly one it was. "I will tell you why and if you share it with anyone, I will kill you. Understood?"
She stared at him in horror before nodding hurriedly. "Ye-yeah, yes."
She agreed as if he had not just threatened to kill her, his daughter in law.
"I am not a good man, never said it, never agreed to it but my children don’t deserve the life I lived. They are fucked up, I raised them but the only piece of good they have inside them is from Alexis. Salvatore does not have that much, I took over his life more than she did which is why you have to rein him and when it comes to family matters."
Evelyn blinked.
"He knows he is the head of the family and has to be to protect you but there is a difference that he must understand when it comes to answering to his wife and answering to his second In command."
She gulped, choosing for next words very carefully. " you want me... To guide him?"
"into the husband you want." He completed it. "As for being a father, he may be a father for Bella Rosa so he will be perfect for Arabella. As for the son, he knows what to do and would do it better than I did."
The last sentence was a murmur but because they were standing right next to each other, Evelyn heard it.
She looked down on the torch before looking back at the children and their happy faces.
"I’ll do it." She whispered to him and the wind carried her words.
Evelyn had no clue what Angelo wanted to continue the conversation or not, or perhaps he had simply had enough of it for one day but the man turned around to walk inside.
He was a weird one.
