Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 281: The lovely brother - III
He was not playing with the rules which was a given because if he did, he would never really become the king of anything.
Who was going to fuck anyone Who came in his way of becoming the king.
If Evelyn could laugh in his face then she would because quite honestly he was nothing but delusional.
The rules were not kept in place for others to play, people often broke them around them to get what they wanted. So it did not really matter if he was playing with the girls or not.
The rules were actually kept in place for safety. The rules were for children, women and other family members that had nothing with the brief going on between two organisations. The people who were supposed to be kept on the sidelines and undamaged.
If this idiot thought that he could break the rules and become the king, he was in for a surprise because anyone who threatened the safety of women and children he would have the wrath of every organisation because no one wanted their family members to be home.
Evelyn shook her head and stepped away from him. "Good to know," she said and once on reaching a respectful distance she continued, "But just so to inform you, this is not just your battle against one organisation because if you mess with the rules put in place for everyone, everyone comes to you." She pointed a finger at him.
"And I don’t want to do anything for you, not willingly and under coercion would be known by everyone. So it is better that you let me go."
Matt stared at her, and felt like he was trying to look at her soul inside before she finally looked away and walked back to the desk.
"Do you know that when you fell asleep, I took a small sample of your blood?"
Evelyn’s eyes bulged out. Not only did it mean that she did not notice her blood being drawn, anything could have happened and she would have noticed it at the last moment.
The moment where it would have been almost impossible to notice what had been going on.
"Wh-what for?" She asked, keeping her nerves at bay.
Did he want to check the DNA and confirm if he was The son of her father? If not that, then what could it possibly be?
He breathed out loudly before laughing sarcastically, "Do you think that I should be happy for my half sister to be pregnant with her second child.. I guess?"
Evelyn did not register his words quiet immediately but when she did she took a step back before blinking at him and shaking her head. "What did you just say?!"
"You heard me." He said. "your reports came back to you being positive for pregnancy. And you already have one child."
Child? Fuck.
Fuck.
"Oh my god.." she whispered to herself. What was she—
"Take her," he said and Evelyn’s head whipped around to him. It was just in time to notice the same man who had brought her here come towards her with his hand held out.
"What?" She shrieked. "Where?!"
"To your room until further notice." Matt answered. "Now, please go with him willingly. you don’t want the baby to be harmed, do you?"
"Wh— Harmed?" She whispered and before she knew it the man grabbed her elbow and dragged her out of the room.
Staying silent and complying was the only thing she could do, not because it was literally what she could do but because her mind was still comprehending the information she had received.
He pushed her into the room, not enough to throw her on the floor but enough to stumble and gain her balance quickly before the door was locked behind her.
It was then Evelyn noticed that she was in a bedroom. Honestly, this was much better than the present she had been kept in earlier.
Much, much better.
Plopping down on the bed, Her shoulders sagged as she finally let the weight of the situation come down on her.
She was pregnant. Again but this time with the right man’s baby.
Evelyn could not believe it.
Slowly, she looked down at her stomach before her hands touched her unswollen belly.
She was pregnant. A baby was going inside her right this moment and she was in the most dangerous situation that she could ever be in.
"Oh my god," she breathed out the words as she continued to look at her stomach. Pregnancy.
Immediately, Evelyn got up and moved to the door that was inside the bedroom. The only door which she assumed to be the bathroom and it turned out to be exactly that. A bathroom without windows but she did not need that. What she needed was a mirror.
She was going to do something that she had not done in the previous pregnancy and however long had a remainder.
After a quick search for the light switch, she turned to the light on and stayed away from the mirror so that she could see her lower half as well before she palmed her stomach.
"A baby," Evelyn shivered.
A baby was inside her, a baby that she and Salvatore had conceived.
A baby that was in grave danger and she had heard somewhere that the first three months of pregnancy were extremely dangerous and prone to a miscarriage.
"I am going to protect you, little one," said she while staring at her stomach in the mirror. " Your father is going to take you too. Just a little while and we will be out of here, I promise you that."
She had to get out of here quickly. Salvatore had to get her out of here quickly because if anything, God forbid, what happened to her baby then this time Evelyn was not sure if she could come back to the land of living.
Another miscarriage would mean for her to lose her self again.
