Chapter 11: Chapter 11 You like married women!

Author’s POV

Damian Sterling sat in the center of the sofa, his cold gaze sweeping over Felix before drawling lazily, "Can’t survive without women?"

"It’s not like that," Felix protested. "I just don’t understand where this indifference toward women comes from. Since childhood, you’ve had females throwing themselves at you, but I’ve never seen you give them a second glance. Not even the beautiful ones can catch your attention?"

Felix suddenly thought of something, protectively clutching his jacket to his chest as he looked at Damian in horror. "Wait—you don’t like men, do you?"

Damian gave him a sideways glance. "What exactly about you would be worth my attention?"

"I’m pretty handsome, you know," Felix replied with mock seriousness.

Of course, it was all in jest. Felix scooted closer on the sofa and continued, "Last time we were supposed to meet at that bar, you were in a business meeting, but before I arrived, I heard some woman had taken you away. You’ve been too busy to meet since then. So tell me—who is this mysterious woman who could actually lead away the great Damian Sterling?"

Damian’s long, elegant fingers gripped his wine glass, the deep red liquid swirling with his movements. His gaze fell on the wine, but seemed to be looking through it toward something more distant.

After a pause, he finally answered, "Just a drunk woman."

"A drunk woman? You’re kidding me, right? I’ve drunk with you plenty of times. I’ve seen what happens when drunk women throw themselves at you. You literally kicked one across the room."

To Felix, any woman being able to approach Damian seemed like a miracle.

Damian simply continued drinking, saying nothing more on the topic.

Felix abandoned the subject and switched gears. "Want to hit the racetrack in a few days? I haven’t seen you drive in ages. I miss those days."

"We’ll see. If I have time," Damian replied.

"Alright, we’ll plan it later."

Felix clinked glasses with Damian. After a few more drinks, he commented, "You have to admit, Ethan’s mother is remarkable. Climbing from nothing to become Mrs. Sterling, and now her bastard son has been legitimized too. Quite the success story."

At this, Damian’s eyes turned cold. "The Northstream Pack isn’t so easily infiltrated."

Packs were indeed like wolf dens—some people desperately wanted to escape, while others were equally desperate to get in.

Damian had been forced to leave the Northstream Pack at age ten. He still remembered those difficult times.

Through his own strength, he had become the mysterious Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack—an existence as powerful as the Crescent Dawn Pack.

He hid his identity naturally because he wanted revenge on those who had hurt him.

Sophia Mitchell was in a foul mood. After that humiliating incident had even become a trending topic online, she’d been thoroughly scolded by her parents. Furious, she’d come out drinking alone.

As a quite attractive woman, she usually had no trouble attracting male attention. Tonight was no exception—Sophia sat surrounded by admirers like a star encircled by planets.

However, when Victoria and Grace entered the upscale club, all eyes immediately turned in their direction.

The men’s gazes were primal, hungry, excited—so intensely fixed on Victoria’s figure that they could barely look away.

After entering, Grace removed Victoria’s coat, declaring it criminal to hide such a perfect figure. Since tonight was about excitement and living boldly, there was no need for modesty.

The moment they entered, men swarmed toward them. Even those surrounding Sophia abandoned her to approach Victoria.

Watching Victoria from across the room, Sophia’s jealousy exploded. She immediately grabbed her phone to text Ethan: "Brother, I’m at the club and just saw Victoria. She’s dressed like a complete slut, trying to seduce every man here. It’s disgusting!"

Ethan’s reply came immediately: "Which club?"

Sophia sent the venue’s name. At that moment, Ethan was in bed with Scarlett, who was trying to seduce him and was nearly undressed. To her shock, Ethan pushed her away and began getting dressed.

"Ethan, where are you going so late?" Scarlett demanded.

"Something at the office," he replied curtly.

Scarlett’s expression darkened. Was he really rushing out because of work?

After sending the text, Sophia watched jealously as Victoria was surrounded by men. That attention should have been hers!

Men eagerly crowded around Victoria.

"Beautiful, can I buy you a drink?" one asked.

"Have a drink with me—my father’s a diplomat, more impressive than his family," another offered.

"My sister’s a celebrity. Want her autograph? Have this drink with me and I’ll introduce you to the entertainment industry. With that face, I guarantee you’ll be famous!" a third promised.

The commotion attracted attention from the club’s various private rooms. Even from the upper floors, the escalating cheers could be clearly heard.

Felix stood up, intrigued. "What’s all that noise about? I better go check it out."

Always fond of excitement—and being the owner of this venue—Felix naturally needed to know what was happening in his club.

From the third-floor corridor, Felix caught a glimpse of the woman surrounded below.

His eyes immediately widened. She was absolutely stunning!

Under the club’s lights, she looked completely out of place—too ethereal for such an environment. "Breathtaking" hardly seemed adequate to describe her beauty. For a moment, Felix wondered if his eyes were deceiving him. How could any woman be this beautiful?

He quickly snapped a photo with his phone, then returned to the private room.

"Damian, there’s an absolute goddess downstairs," he announced excitedly. "She looks like she stepped out of a fantasy. Don’t you want to see?"

Damian showed little interest. No matter how beautiful, women rarely stirred any reaction in him.

However, at the mention of beauty, an image flashed through his mind—a truly gorgeous face, especially captivating in passion beneath him, breathlessly gasping "Damian."

The memory was brief, but enough to make Damian suddenly feel thirsty.

He drained his glass in one gulp, but the inner restlessness didn’t subside.

Madness, being so obsessed with one woman.

"Not interested," Damian said after downing another drink.

"Suit yourself, but ease up on the alcohol," Felix replied. "I’m going to take another look. Beauties like that aren’t common—I might get her number."

Downstairs, the men surrounding Victoria weren’t the type Grace had in mind for her friend, so she led Victoria upstairs.

Their reserved room was on the third floor.

When they reached a private room, the door unexpectedly opened and Felix appeared, directly colliding with Grace.

"Ah!" Grace cried out as Felix instinctively caught her waist.

"Watch where you’re going!" Grace snapped, rubbing her forehead and glaring at him.

Felix was surprised by her hostility. "I’m not the one who crashed into a man’s arms. How was I to know you weren’t deliberately lurking here?"

"You? Why would anyone target you? Come on, Victoria, let’s go!"

Grace had no patience for this exchange, pulling Victoria toward the adjacent room—their reservation.

The door to Felix and Damian’s room was slightly ajar, and Damian caught fragments of the conversation.

Victoria?

Felix’s gaze lingered on Victoria. Beautiful—truly, spectacularly beautiful, the kind that stopped hearts.

Even after they disappeared into their room, Felix couldn’t tear his gaze from where she’d stood.

"Damian, you really missed out. Women like that are extremely rare."

But Damian replied coolly, "I’ve seen her before."

"You have? Where? Did you meet her overseas? One of those blonde beauties?"

"No," Damian said simply.

He recalled Victoria at the gala—truly stunning.

Felix grew more curious. "Then who is she? Tell me! I want to know your type."

Damian’s response was cryptic: "I enjoy taking what others treasure most."

"What?" Felix paused, confused by this statement. "What does that even mean?"

Then, with a gleam in his eyes, Felix boldly speculated, "Oh, I get it—you like married women!"

Damian stared at him, speechless.
