Su Qinglan and Xuan Long were still alone on the mountain path.

Suddenly, she felt the cubs stirring inside the basket. She immediately removed the cloth covering it and found three pairs of wet, round eyes looking up at her.

It seemed all of them were very hungry. They started whining and reaching out toward her, making it clear they wanted to drink milk.

Su Qinglan suddenly froze. She realized she had been so rushed to leave the house that she did not bring their milk bottles or the milk formula at all.

She let out a long sigh and looked at the babies.

"Are you guys hungry?" she asked softly. The three cubs nodded their little heads frantically.

Xuan Long peeked into the basket and then looked at her. Seeing her worried face, his gaze dropped to her chest. "The milk is right here, isn’t it?" he asked plainly. "Why are you sighing?"

Su Qinglan’s face turned red, and she immediately slapped his chest.

"Xuan Long! How many times have I told you? The milk I usually feed them isn’t mine! It’s a special formula milk."

Xuan Long was stunned.

In his mind, he was sure it was just her milk, and that she was simply too embarrassed to say it. He did not understand how there could be any other kind of milk. He could only watch as the cubs began to cry louder, fighting each other to get closer to her.

"Okay, okay, I’ll feed you," Su Qinglan said, looking at the hungry cubs. She knew she could not let them starve until they got back.

She looked at Xiao Yi, the eldest, and warned him, "Don’t you dare bite Mama, okay? Or I will bite you back!"

Xiao Yi looked at her with wet eyes. He was too hungry for his little brain to work or understand her warning.

As soon as she moved her clothes and let him start nursing, he greedily began to suck.

Xuan Long’s eyes were fixed on her. His face held a strange emotion, and the tips of his ears turned very red.

Su Qinglan felt his intense gaze and blushed furiously. She turned her back to him, muttering shamefully, "What are you looking at? It’s not like you haven’t seen it before."

Xuan Long’s eyes twinkled with a bit of mischief. He stepped up behind her and wrapped his strong arms around her waist.

"Lan Lan, the more I look at you, the more beautiful you become," he said, gently squeezing her waist.

Suddenly, Su Qinglan let out a sharp hiss of pain. Xuan Long immediately let go, looking worried. "What happened? Did I squeeze too hard?" He knew he had not used any real force at all.

But then he saw her eyes tearing up. He looked down and saw the culprit: Xiao Yi.

Xuan Long immediately pulled the cub away and saw a bright red bite mark on Su Qinglan. His expression darkened instantly.

"Did Xiao Yi bite you?" he growled.

He moved Xiao Yi’s little lips and looked inside. He saw tiny, sharp teeth just beginning to peek out from the gums. They looked very sharp for such a small baby.

Xuan Long felt a wave of worry for his female. If the cubs were growing teeth, feeding them would become very painful and dangerous for her.

Su Qinglan furiously rubbed the spot, trying to make the stinging pain go away. "I told him not to bite," she whispered, her voice trembling slightly from the shock of the sharp nip.

Xuan Long decided he had to help his female. He could not allow these fierce tiger cubs to hurt her like this.

Her skin was too sensitive, and their new teeth were too sharp. He immediately picked up some large, clean leaves and folded them into the shape of bowls.

"Lan Lan, let me help you," he said firmly. "They will drink from these bowls instead."

Su Qinglan nodded. She really did not have another option, because her head was spinning from the pain and the stress.

Even the quiet Xiao San looked like he was about to shed tears silently from hunger.

She let Xuan Long help her, but when his big, warm hands wrapped around her to assist, she suddenly stiffened.

This was the first time one of her beast husbands had touched her so closely since she gave birth.

They had been maintaining a strict distance because they thought she needed a long time to recover. It had been two weeks, but they did not know that by the third day, her health was already perfect.

Because she had a Level 4 Plant Ability, her body was much stronger than that of a normal female.

Su Qinglan was so embarrassed she did not know what to do. Her face was bright red, and her heart was pounding. "Xuan Long... you..." was all she could muster.

But then he suddenly pulled her legs around his waist, holding her close against his chest.

He wanted to lessen the pain in her sensitive chest area after the cubs had been so rough.

Su Qinglan shuddered in his arms. It was her most sensitive part right now, and his touch made her breath hitch.

She clenched his hair and whispered, "Xuan Long, stop... the babies are watching!"

Xuan Long stopped for a second but did not let go. He looked back at the cubs and then at her with a smug smile.

"What is there for them to watch? Not just moments ago, they were the ones latching onto you. Now, their father has the right to be close to you too."

Su Qinglan was completely speechless. She looked over his shoulder at the three cubs.

None of them cared about what their parents were doing at all. Their little mouths were buried deep in the milk bowls, and they were making happy slurping sounds. They were far too busy eating to notice Xuan Long being naughty.

Su Qinglan felt like she was almost melting in Xuan Long’s arms. The sensation of his touch was just too good, and her body, which had been recovered for a long time, was reacting to his closeness.

She leaned her head against his shoulder, her breath becoming shallow as she held onto him.

Xuan Long had originally only wanted to soothe her pain and help her feel better. But now, he felt like he was the one in pain. The fire that has been extinguished flares to life once again.
