Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off-Chapter 345: Xiao Yi, The Little Bully!
Su Qinglan stepped back, her chest heaving.
She watched silently as Han Jue and Hu Yan worked together to wash away the layers of dust and dark blood.
The water in the basin turned deep red almost instantly. Only when the wounds were finally visible and clean did Su Qinglan step forward again.
She placed her palms directly over Shi Feng’s heart and closed her eyes.
Suddenly, a blindingly bright green light erupted from her hands. It was so intense that Hu Yan and Han Jue had to shield their eyes.
This wasn’t like her usual gentle healing; this was a level of power they had never seen before. Su Qinglan was pushing her Level 4 Plant Ability to its absolute limit.
Right before their stunned eyes, the big, gaping wounds on Shi Feng’s chest and shoulders began to crawl and close.
The torn flesh stitched itself back together like magic. The deep gashes disappeared, leaving behind only faint, pink scars.
Hu Yan and Han Jue were frozen in shock.
They knew their female was special, but to heal a seven-striped beastman from the brink of death in mere minutes was unheard of.
Usually, she would use herbs and take several days to mend such damage.
Su Qinglan’s face went pale. Large beads of sweat dripped from her brows, and her breath became ragged. She had used every drop of her plant-type energy to ensure he would survive. As the light finally faded, she swayed a little, her body turning to jelly.
"Lan Lan!" Han Jue caught her before she could hit the floor.
She leaned against him, her eyes fixed on the now-breathing-steadily Shi Feng. "He... he is stable now," she whispered, her voice weak.
"The infection won’t set in."
Hu Yan looked at the Lion King, who now looked like he was simply sleeping. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Then he looked at Su Qinglan, his eyes full of awe and a new kind of fear. "You used all your strength for him," he murmured.
Su Qinglan didn’t answer. She was too exhausted to speak.
Hu Yan and Han Jue looked at Su Qinglan’s tired figure. Her eyelids were drooping, and she was swaying as she tried to fight her sleepiness. Her face was pale from using so much energy, and it made their hearts ache with worry.
Without a word, Hu Yan stepped forward and lifted her in a bridal style. "Let’s go sleep," he said firmly, his voice full of care. "You are very tired. You have done enough."
He immediately carried her to the upper floor of their treehouse. He was very protective; there was no way he would allow his female to sleep in the same room or even on the same floor as another man, especially one like the Lion King.
Since they couldn’t take Shi Feng anywhere else without alerting the tribe, the guest had to stay downstairs.
As Hu Yan laid her down on the soft furs, Su Qinglan’s hand suddenly shot out. She clutched his arm tightly, her eyes barely open. "Don’t go..." she whispered.
She pulled him toward her and dug her head into his chest. Within seconds, the sound of her steady, deep breathing filled the room. She had fallen into a deep sleep the moment she felt his familiar scent.
Hu Yan let out a long, heavy sigh. He stayed in the bed, wrapping his strong arms around her body to give her warmth.
He gently patted her back as if she were one of the cubs and leaned down to kiss her forehead. "Rest, Lan Lan," he murmured. "I’m right here."
On the lower floor, the atmosphere was much colder.
Han Jue stood over the unconscious Shi Feng for a moment. He looked at the man who had caused so much trouble and almost made their Lan Lan angry at them.
He didn’t feel any sympathy. Seeing that the Lion King was breathing and stable, Han Jue simply abandoned him right there on the floor.
So what if he was going to enter their family, who said he could not make any troubles for him. He still held a very big grudge against this lion. Hmph!
He didn’t want to look at the golden lion for another second. He got up and went to the kitchen area to start cooking.
He knew that when Su Qinglan woke up, she would be incredibly hungry after using so much power, and he wanted to have a warm meal ready for her.
Rong Ye sat in the corner, watching everything. He looked at the lion and then upstairs, and finally at the cooking area.
He felt a bit overwhelmed by the day’s drama. He turned his attention to the cubs, who were now happily feeding from their milk bottles.
The three of them were huddled together, their little paws kneading the air as they drank.
Rong Ye couldn’t stand the heavy, silent atmosphere in the house for another second. He felt like he was going insane from all the stress and tension.
To distract himself, he slid closer to the cubs and started playing with the cubs.
"Come here, you little troublemakers," Rong Ye muttered, reaching out to tickle them.
Xiao Yi, the eldest, was still busy drinking from his milk bottle. He kicked his little legs and rolled away from Rong Ye’s hands, refusing to be bothered while he was eating.
But Rong Ye didn’t stop. He kept targeting Xiao Yi, poking his soft belly and wiggling his fingers.
Xiao Er and Xiao San stopped what they were doing and just watched the drama with wide, curious eyes.
Finally, Xiao Yi finished his milk. He let out a tiny burp and, without any warning, threw the empty bottle right at Rong Ye’s face. Clunk! It hit Rong Ye right on the forehead.
Xiao Yi didn’t care; he just smacked his lips and turned his head to look at his younger brothers’ bottles.
Xiao Yi’s eyes narrowed. He looked at Xiao Er’s bottle, but it was almost empty. Then, his gaze shifted to Xiao San.
Because Xiao San was a little snake beastman, he couldn’t drink as fast as the tiger cubs. However, he still had a very good appetite, so they always gave him a bottle that was more than half full.
Xiao San was still working on it, his little throat moving slowly as he swallowed.
When Xiao Yi’s greedy eyes landed on that half-full bottle, Xiao San’s entire body stiffened.
He stopped drinking and coiled around the bottle. He looked up at Rong Ye with a pitiful, pleading expression, as if he were saying, "Father Rong Ye, control him! He has bad intentions for my milk!"
Rong Ye rubbed his forehead where the bottle had hit him and let out a short laugh. "Hey, Xiao Yi, don’t be a bully! That’s your brother’s milk."
But Xiao Yi just let out a small, huffy growl and started crawling toward the little snake.
Xiao San began to hiss softly, backing away toward the corner of the basket. He wasn’t going to give up his milk without a fight, but he was much smaller than the tiger cub.
Rong Ye sighed and reached out to pick up Xiao Yi before he could pounce. "Alright, that’s enough. If you’re still hungry, I’ll go see if Han Jue has any meat scraps. Leave the little snake alone."
Xiao Yi struggled in Rong Ye’s grip, still reaching for the bottle, while Xiao San quickly turned his back and started drinking even faster to make sure there was nothing left to steal.
