Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off-Chapter 410: Carried Away by My Wolf Hubby
Han Jue was the first one to reach the cave, running so fast his feet barely touched the ground.
He was holding a massive bird in one hand, but in the other, he was carefully balancing a giant nest filled with almost a dozen eggs.
He was incredibly excited. He knew his Lan Lan loved eggs...boiled eggs, fried eggs, scrambled eggs...she loved them all!
The moment he found that nest, he didn’t even bother looking for other meat. He just grabbed the whole thing and took it back home, imagining her happy face.
But as he reached the entrance, he suddenly skidded to a stop. His nose twitched. He caught a faint, musky scent hanging in the air...the scent of an intimate male.
His eyes widened, and his expression turned sharp. He set the bird and the eggs down on the ground, ready to rush inside and find out who had dared to touch his female while he was gone.
However, before he could take two steps, a blurry figure dashed out and crashed right into his arms.
"You’re back, Han Jue!" Su Qinglan cried out.
Before he could say a word, she reached up and kissed him fiercely.
Han Jue was completely bewildered. His brain short-circuited, and all those suspicious thoughts about the "musky scent" vanished instantly.
He caught her in his arms, lifting her up as he kissed her back with even more passion.
"Are you really that happy I’m back?" he gasped when they finally pulled apart, his eyes swirling with joy.
Su Qinglan looked at him with a soft, apologetic expression. "I’m sorry, Han Jue. I shouldn’t have kicked you all out earlier. We just reunited, and I was too harsh."
She took his large hand and placed it right over her heart. "But you are not allowed to fight each other, okay? It hurts me here when you do."
Han Jue felt like he was floating on a cloud. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
He realized then that his Lan Lan never got angry for no reason; she only lost her temper because she wanted their home to be peaceful. She didn’t want her husbands hurting each other.
"Lan Lan, I don’t blame you," he said quickly, his heart melting. "It was our fault. We shouldn’t have fought like cubs."
As his hand stayed against her chest, he realized something else.
My female is so soft... His mind started spinning again, but this time for a very different reason. He couldn’t help himself; he started to rub that soft area with a silly, dazed look on his face.
Su Qinglan noticed his "distracted" hands immediately. She wanted to smack him on the head...she was trying to have a serious heart-to-heart talk, and he was busy feeling her up!
But she didn’t scold him. Instead, she gave him one more quick peck on the lips and said, "What did you bring? I’m really, really hungry!"
That did the trick. Han Jue’s eyes lit up.
"Eggs! I found a whole nest of eggs for you!"
He turned around to show off his prize, looking completely proud of himself. Su Qinglan smiled smugly behind his back. She had successfully distracted the smartest man in the group!
Just then, Shi Feng stepped out from the back of the cave, looking neat and dressed. Su Qinglan caught his eye and gave him a playful, secret wink.
The Lion King’s face immediately turned a deep shade of beetroot red, and he looked at the floor, his heart racing all over again.
Su Qinglan looked back at the big bird with its neck twisted and the massive nest filled with eggs. Her lips twitched as she looked at Han Jue. "Did you catch the bird and its entire family too?"
Han Jue scratched his head, looking a bit embarrassed. He nodded, admitting he got so excited about the eggs that he just brought everything back.
Su Qinglan laughed and nodded. "Yes, yes, it’s good. We will eat well."
But then she realized her cave was practically empty. She didn’t have bowls or pots or have pitiful seasoning. She looked at Han Jue and said, "Let’s go. We need to find tomatoes, onions, and green chilies. I saw many of them growing on this island."
Han Jue was stunned.
Whatever his female wanted, he was willing to follow her to the ends of the earth to get it.
He glanced at Shi Feng and noticed that lingering musky scent again, but he forced himself to ignore it.
Su Qinglan had just told him she hated it when they fought, and he definitely didn’t want to make her angry again.
"Let’s go," Han Jue agreed. "We will find those items. I’ll also see if I can carve some big stone bowls to make soup."
He looked at Shi Feng and added, "You stay and watch the cubs."
Shi Feng nodded quickly. He was just happy to be helpful. Su Qinglan waved at him as she prepared to leave with Han Jue to gather the vegetables.
But suddenly, Shi Feng looked around the cave, and his face turned pale. "The cubs!"
The cubs were gone! He had been so lost in Su Qinglan’s soft embrace earlier that he hadn’t noticed when the little troublemakers had snuck out.
He immediately ran out of the cave, his heart racing. He only breathed a sigh of relief when he found them nearby, happily chewing on some green plants.
"Where are you running to?!" Shi Feng grumbled as he scooped up the two tigers and the tiny snake.
Su Qinglan watched him for a moment before she turned to Han Jue. They headed toward the area where she had seen the wild tomatoes, garlic, and onions.
This island was like a giant garden; there were so many abandoned plants growing everywhere if you knew where to look.
Han Jue watched her walking and immediately stepped in front of her. "Lan Lan, don’t walk. I will carry you."
Su Qinglan didn’t even try to argue. Why say no to a ride from a muscular beastman?
She immediately lifted her arms like a child, and Han Jue scooped her up with a big, happy grin. He held her close as they moved through the brush, feeling very proud to be her "transportation."
