Consequences of Dumping the Obsessive Boss: Stuck with Him Forever-Chapter 144: I Want You to Leave Stellart Sooner
Exhausted, Summer Lowell cut to the chase: "President Sinclair, what sneaky move are you up to again?"
Maxim Sinclair’s expression remained unchanged, but he was slightly surprised inside. Are the people over at Stellart really this impatient?
They were secretly photographing yesterday, and today they’re using the photos against Summer Lowell?
"What sneaky move? Summer, I don’t understand what you’re talking about?"
Summer couldn’t tell right away whether he was lying.
She pondered for a bit and decided to bluff: "Don’t you know what you’ve done? Do you need me to repeat it?"
"I’m afraid you really need to emphasize what exactly I’ve done." Maxim laughed openly, "You’re calling out of the blue, questioning me head-on. Are you trying to shift some blame onto me again?"
"Are you saying this because you’re feeling guilty?" Summer refused to back down, intentionally provoking him, "I’ve experienced your tactics before."
"Summer." Seeing her attitude, Maxim dropped his smile and looked at her meaningfully with his eyes, "You should be grateful that I’m still interested in you and am reluctant to really do anything against you. If I truly make a move, I can have Stellart’s top brass personally deliver you to my side, do you believe that?"
Summer didn’t dare not to believe. Seeing that she couldn’t get anything out of him, she didn’t want to continue idle chatting: "If there’s nothing else, I’m hanging up. Goodbye."
Maxim tossed his phone aside, looking at Assistant Collins, who was interrupted while making a report: "Ask Matthew what’s going on at Stellart. Summer’s reaction seems odd."
Assistant Collins glanced at the half-finished report in his hand: "Should I go now, or finish this first?"
"Go now." Maxim waved his hand to indicate him to report later, then chuckled and murmured, "But I can probably guess what’s happening with Summer."
Soon, Assistant Collins returned with the information Matthew gathered: "People at Stellart Headquarters want to send Miss Lowell to the police station."
"Send her to the police station?" Maxim paused his typing, turning to look at Assistant Collins, "Why do they want to send her to the police? What happened to her?"
"Southcrown Company is currently handling a large new project. Stellart’s top leaders want to collaborate with them. To reach a consensus, Stellart specifically formulated a plan, and only Noah and Miss Lowell from the entire branch knew about it. But somehow, their plan leaked and got linked with our branch in Solara."
"What a mess, how did it get tied to me again?" Maxim impatiently furrowed his brows, "So, what’s the situation now? Does Summer suspect I’m targeting her?"
"I don’t know what Miss Lowell is thinking." Assistant Collins hesitated for a moment before speaking, "But right now, people at Stellart Headquarters suspect that Miss Lowell has unresolved ties with you and is benefiting from what you provide, deliberately passing Stellart’s internal information to you."
"Got it." Maxim found this quite amusing, "Truly interesting. Summer originally became Stellart’s design director by stealing internal information from me, and now she’s being suspected by Stellart of being a traitor. How do you think she feels now?"
"She must be very upset," Assistant Collins thought of what Matthew said, sighed with mixed feelings, "Matthew also mentioned that the photos of people taken outside Varden Villa yesterday have reached Stellart’s top leaders. Miss Lowell will have a hard time explaining her relationship with you."
"Does it need explanation? Isn’t it quite obvious?" Maxim was amused, "Just like Stellart’s leaders suspect, unresolved ties."
Just as he finished speaking, the office door was knocked from outside. Assistant Collins went out to see it was Director Nash from the design department.
Rachel Nash, seeing him, pointed inside with her hand and asked in a low voice, "How’s President Sinclair’s mood today?"
"I don’t know, I can’t tell." After answering, Assistant Collins turned around, "President Sinclair, Director Nash from the design department is here to see you."
Maxim paused, recalling what Assistant Collins mentioned earlier: "Let her in."
Rachel entered and placed a document in front of him: "President Sinclair, our Solara Branch acted on its own and snatched a project, which is related to Stellart Branch’s Design Director, Summer Lowell." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"I’m already aware of this." Maxim raised his hand and took the document, quickly flipping through it before tossing it back onto the table, "The people at Solara Branch handled this beautifully. We’ll give them a special award at the end of the year."
Rachel came to him today because Assistant Collins had previously reminded her that Maxim Sinclair has an unusual attitude towards Summer Lowell.
She thought the Solara Branch’s autonomous action might affect Maxim and Summer’s relationship.
Unexpectedly, the response she received after reporting was this.
Rachel was bewildered. She looked up and gave Assistant Collins a questioning look, wondering what was going on.
Assistant Collins gently shook his head, signaling her to just follow orders.
After a while, when the two of them were out of the office, Rachel pulled Assistant Collins aside: "Didn’t you say that Miss Lowell is already Mrs. Sinclair? Why is President Sinclair watching this situation with such a spectator’s attitude?"
Assistant Collins looked at the tightly shut office door and sighed helplessly: "Just got the news, Miss Lowell may not be able to stay at Stellart. If I’m not mistaken, President Sinclair’s intention is to have her leave Stellart sooner."
"Isn’t that bad?" Rachel shook her head in disapproval, "Didn’t you say President Sinclair was quite concerned about Miss Lowell? Standing by and doing nothing, especially when it’s our branch that snatched the project. Isn’t President Sinclair worried that Miss Lowell will hold a grudge against him?"
"Who can guess the thoughts of a leader?" Assistant Collins clutched the file in his hand, then seemed to remember something and clapped his hands, "Oh right, didn’t President Sinclair ask you to find some highly talented designers a while back?"
"I’m aware of that. I still remember that I went to great lengths to find those designers, but you wouldn’t let them join the company. I was going to ask you, where did those people go?" Rachel was frustrated about it. The design department had recently taken on several new projects, and they were short on manpower. She was worried about this issue.
"Let me tell you, don’t worry about those designers anymore. They’re reserved by President Sinclair for Miss Lowell. President Sinclair has specially set up a jewelry design studio for Miss Lowell, and those designers have been selected as her assistants."
"Now I understand." Rachel sighed and shook her head, "No wonder you said President Sinclair wants Miss Lowell to leave Stellart soon."
