Consequences of Dumping the Obsessive Boss: Stuck with Him Forever-Chapter 81: Tina Huxley Asks Justin Huxley to Pursue Summer Lowell
Speaking of business, Julian Huxley immediately put down his wine glass, then opened the tablet he had brought with him, flipped to a map inside, and showed it to Maxim Sinclair: "Cretos, five years ago the Huxley Family mortgaged this island to pay off foreign debts, but two years ago I redeemed it."
"Impressive, I heard about this," Maxim Sinclair nodded appreciatively, then added, "So, what do you want to say?"
Julian Huxley exited the map and pulled out another electronic document from within, indicating for Maxim Sinclair to look: "This is an evaluation report from an internationally recognized authoritative institution, showing that there is an extremely rare mineral deposit on Cretos, enough for ten years of mining."
Upon hearing this, Maxim Sinclair became spirited, took the tablet, pinched his fingers together, and enlarged the evaluation given by the authoritative institution: "There’s actually a mine in there?"
"Yes, I was surprised when I found out about it too," Julian Huxley smiled with satisfaction, "I was able to redeem this island at an extremely low price back then, precisely because it had no merits other than decent scenery."
"Tsk tsk," Maxim Sinclair shook his head in amazement, "The previous owner would be kicking themselves if they knew there was a mine on the island."
Julian Huxley chuckled softly: "I haven’t leaked the news of the rich mineral deposits outside, still keeping it a secret from the public, even the people of the Huxley Family don’t know."
Understanding the deeper meaning in his words, Maxim Sinclair looked up at him: "You’re telling me this so openly? Aren’t you afraid I’ll sell you out to the second branch of the Huxley Family?"
"I don’t think you will," Julian Huxley shook his head with certainty, "Although I don’t know the reason, I guess the second branch must have done something wrong somewhere, angering you, otherwise, you wouldn’t have deliberately run into me in Eldoria."
"As expected, you’re smart." Maxim Sinclair smiled and extended his right hand, speaking sincerely, "Let’s anticipate a smooth cooperation beforehand!"
Julian Huxley extended his hand and returned the shake: "President Sinclair, I look forward to our cooperation."
...
After leaving the Sinclair Group, Tina Huxley didn’t head straight back to Omni Industries but took a detour to Julian Huxley’s studio.
Upon hearing of her arrival, Julian Huxley had no choice but to come out of the meeting room and lead her to his office.
Noticing her uneasy expression, Julian Huxley placed tea and snacks in front of her and patiently asked, "What’s wrong? Why do you look so down?"
Tina Huxley took a sip from the teacup and asked him, "Brother, did you know Julian Huxley is back?"
Julian Huxley nodded: "Yes, I know, I ran into him at Grandpa’s today. It’s not just him; several people from the main family have returned. I hear more will gradually return to celebrate Grandpa’s birthday."
"How can you be so calm then?" Tina Huxley was full of doubt, "Since childhood, Julian Huxley has always been in an open and covert fight with you. Now that you’ve just returned to the country, he follows suit, clearly with some ulterior motive."
"Alright." Julian Huxley smiled gently, "I know you don’t get along with him, but those were childhood matters. We’re all adults now, so let’s not be childish."
"Alright, alright, you’re the generous one. Never mind, let’s not talk about him; it ruins the mood," Tina Huxley brushed the crumbs off her hands and tugged at Julian Huxley’s sleeve, pleading with her eyes, "Dear brother, can you help me with something?"
"What’s this? Throwing a tantrum?" Julian Huxley chuckled, "No need for such antics, just tell me what you want me to do."
Tina Huxley hesitated for a few seconds before speaking of her real purpose for coming: "If you’re not busy, could you arrange to meet with Summer Lowell?"
Julian Huxley raised an eyebrow and smiled as he asked, "What are you up to now?"
"It’s just that I see you’re alone and want you to get a sister-in-law soon!" Tina Huxley grinned, "Besides, my father wants me to interact more with Maxim on the pretext of discussing projects. I’m determined to win him over, but I don’t want any mistakes in between."
"I see," Julian Huxley tapped her forehead with a smile, "you want me to help you get rid of your rival."
Tina Huxley laughed openly and admitted, "That’s part of it. Dear brother, will you help me?"
"Since you’ve asked so sweetly, of course I’ll help."
Julian Huxley said as he took out his phone from his pocket and, in front of Tina’s watchful gaze, dialed Summer Lowell’s number. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
At that time, Summer Lowell, who wasn’t too busy with work, quickly answered the call: "Hello, senior, looking for me?"
"It’s nothing major, I was just thinking about hiking nearby this weekend. Going alone is a bit dull, just wanted to see if you’re free to join me." Julian Huxley spoke to Summer Lowell on the other end of the line, under Tina’s hopeful gaze.
On the phone, Summer Lowell, who was editing a draft, pulled out her schedule and glanced over it: "Sure! I don’t have other plans for this weekend, so I’ll join you for hiking."
"Then it’s settled. You get back to work, I won’t disturb you. I’ll contact you then."
Julian Huxley ended the call and gently pushed away Tina, who was eager to embrace him: "I’ve arranged to meet her; as for Maxim Sinclair, that depends on your skill."
"As long as you can win over Summer Lowell quickly and eliminate any possibility between her and Maxim Sinclair, my chances of succeeding in the marriage alliance with Maxim will naturally increase."
Seeing Tina Huxley’s determined face, Julian Huxley shook his head lightly: "Truly, girls are hard to keep at home once they’re grown."
Tina Huxley retorted at the comment: "That’s not right. If I succeed in marrying Maxim Sinclair, the Huxley Family will benefit too! Grandpa is very supportive of my marriage alliance with him."
Deep down, Julian Huxley, who didn’t have high hopes for this matter, nodded dismissively: "Then work hard, I’m waiting for your good news."
Tina Huxley, of course, saw his dismissiveness: "Brother, do you not believe in me?"
"I believe in you, truly!" Julian Huxley pushed her shoulders as he walked her out, "But I still have a meeting unfinished, head home first, we’ll talk when I get back."
"Alright then," Tina Huxley adjusted her bag and didn’t forget to tug at his sleeve at the door, reminding once more, "Make sure to win over Summer Lowell soon."
"Got it, now off you go."
Once he finally saw her off, Julian Huxley removed his jacket and tossed it to the assistant waiting at the meeting room door: "It’s dirty, throw it away."
The assistant bowed slightly: "Yes, Mr. Huxley."
...
Outside the office of the design director at the Stellart Division, Assistant Fletcher was distributing a stack of documents he just got from Summer Lowell.
Designer Ming Yue put down what she was doing and came over: "Assistant Fletcher, did you inquire for me?"
