Cultivating in the Wizard World-Chapter 333 - 299: Wipe Them Out
Soon, reinforcements from the Ship Plane arrived.
Two Floating Fortresses, as massive as mountains, with surfaces covered in menacing turrets and mysterious Rune bases, slowly detached from the Ship Plane.
Passing through the stable Plane channel, they officially descended upon the Giant Spirit Realm!
Jeming followed the other wizards and stepped onto the deck of one of these fortresses.
When the fortress fully breached the barrier and the interior landscape of the Giant Spirit Realm unfolded before his eyes, even he couldn’t help but feel slightly amazed.
Previously, outside the void, he could only gaze from afar at a continent shrouded in a metallic sheen below.
Now, being here in person, he realized that the entire continent was not covered in steel, but rather countless skyscrapers rose from the ground.
The surfaces of these buildings were entirely made of some unknown metal, shimmering with a cold hue.
The skyscrapers’ surfaces were carved with dense neon tubes outlining strange patterns, inscribed with various signs in the language of the Giant Spirit Realm, fantastical and bizarre. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
On the streets, the vague figures of various mechanically transformed or biologically modified natives could be seen, some with half-mechanical bodies, others fused with strange biological structures.
"This feeling..." Jeming’s eyes flickered, "a bit like... cyberpunk?"
Scenes from certain games in his previous life’s memory overlapped with the scene in front of him, bringing a strange sense of déjà vu.
However, this surprise quickly dissipated.
For a well-traveled wizard who had explored countless planes, this level of technology and modified civilization, while unique in its own right, was not particularly shocking.
His gaze shifted from the city below, which was already completely deserted and resembled a metallic grave, to the distance.
There, the massive army of natives from the Giant Spirit Realm had regrouped.
Sky-covering battleships, gigantic Mechanical Puppets of various forms, and some indescribable biological weapons were densely arrayed along the horizon, Energy fluctuations converging, forming a suffocating sense of oppression.
Yet, strangely, the other side merely stood prepared, not launching an immediate attack.
"What are these guys thinking?" Jeming felt a twinge of doubt in his heart.
Logically, taking advantage of the wizards’ recent arrival, when they hadn’t gained a foothold, to gather all forces and launch a thunderous strike, causing as much damage as possible, was the most likely strategy that a civilization in such a desperate situation would adopt.
Although it might not ultimately change the outcome, at least it could exact a more painful price from the invaders.
But the other side did not.
They merely silently surrounded them, standing off against the billions of wizard cannon fodder troops that surged like a tide from around the fortress, quickly covering the ground.
The air was so heavy it felt like it could drip, with only the low growls of Energy engines and the suppressed screeches of cannon fodder monsters echoing.
This abnormal silence was more unsettling than a frenzied attack.
A moment later, the stalemate was broken.
The endless array of enemy troops in the distance parted like waves, leaving a wide passage.
Dozens of towering Mechanical Puppets, resembling metal mountains and emitting powerful waves not inferior to those of the previous Seventh Level Natives, slowly flew out from among them.
They didn’t bring an army but flew alone towards the direction of the Wizard Fortress.
"What are they trying to do..." Jeming watched the scene, his brow slightly furrowed.
Suddenly, a ridiculous thought crossed his mind: "Could it be... they want to negotiate?"
It wasn’t just him; many wizards also realized this possibility.
Immediately, a wizard voiced undisguised mockery: "How extremely foolish! They actually want to negotiate with the Destructors? If wars could be resolved with words, why would we have crossed the Endless Void?!"
"It seems they can’t understand the survival Law of absolute power disparity."
Amidst the scoffs, Dixon, the Seventh Level Wizard who had been observing quietly, had a glint of understanding and amusement in his eyes.
He gently raised his hand, signaling the surrounding wizards to calm down.
Then, under countless gazes, Dixon flew up alone from above the fortress, heading towards those dozens of Seventh Level Mechanical Puppets that exuded a terrifying presence.
Both sides faced off in the airspace at the center of the battlefield.
However, the scene that unfolded next was beyond almost all wizards’ expectations.
The head of the most gigantic and lavishly adorned Mechanical Puppet transmitted an arrogant and condescending mental wave, covering the entire battlefield:
"Abandon your ignorant resistance, strong ones from the unknown world!"
The opening sentence left all the wizards stunned.
The voice continued to boom, with a tone that seemed benevolent: "Your tenacious will has been recognized by the great Koger! Blame only being born in an inferior world!"
"The Giant Spirit Realm is not something you can resist! Ignorant creatures, maybe in your world, you’ve ascended to the pinnacle, overlooking myriad beings, but in the eyes of the great Koger, you’re still just an ant that can be crushed effortlessly!"
"To have caused such losses, you have already proven your value. Surrender! We can offer you a decent status; becoming servants under His Majesty Koger is your greatest honor!"
These Seventh Level Natives of the Giant Spirit Realm, one word after another, with an extremely arrogant tone.
It was as if they weren’t facing a terrifying enemy capable of easily capturing those of their level but scolding disobedient subordinates.
In their perception, Dixon, who flew out alone, was undoubtedly the strongest of this group of invaders.
Even if he were stronger than he appeared, under their attack of literally dozens of "same-level" existences, he would definitely die with no burial ground!
Not to mention, above them, there was the supreme Master of the World from the Giant Spirit Realm—Koger!
That was an existence simply beyond the imagination of these creatures from a "lower world."
Hearing this, Dixon, floating in mid-air, Melisande and Obelus watching from the Ship Plane through the light screen, and all the wizards among the fortresses and the cannon fodder stopped and fell into a strange silence.
It wasn’t anger, nor was it shock, but a... an indescribable sense of absurdity.
As if watching a frog at the bottom of a well boasting to the soaring Giant Dragon about how vast the sky was above its well.
The natives of the Giant Spirit Realm, seeing Dixon’s silence, assumed he was intimidated by Koger’s renown or weighing the pros and cons, impatiently sent out another mental wave:
"Make your choice, invader! Surrender or be destroyed?!"
At this moment, Dixon finally moved.
The amiable smile he usually wore vanished, replaced by an absolute calm, like a bottomless icy pond.
He did not look at the noisy Mechanical Puppets but instead looked blankly, raising his hand toward the waiting Wizard Legion behind him and casually waved.
His voice wasn’t loud, yet it clearly reached every wizard’s ears, flat without any ripple:
"Destroy them."
