Cultivating in the Wizard World-Chapter 338 - 302: Phase 1 Complete (Double-Length) (Part 3)
And Jeming, after replenishing his energy, displayed an astonishing assault capability.
His mind was highly focused, and the massive array of the Great Light Appearance behind him slightly adjusted its angle, locking onto ten skyscrapers within his spiritual power’s coverage!
The next moment, the Great Light Appearance unleashed a barrage.
Under Jeming’s control, these barrages split into ten dazzling energy light whips, tearing through the air with a piercing screech, relentlessly lashing at the surfaces of the ten skyscrapers!
Buzz!!!
At the moment of attack, the surfaces of these skyscrapers immediately manifested semi-transparent energy barriers glowing with complex geometric patterns, attempting to resist the oncoming destruction.
However, under Jeming’s continuous bombardment, akin to an "energy torrent," these barriers only lasted less than two seconds before shattering like fragile glass, emitting a series of unbearable lamentations!
With the barriers broken, nothing could impede the energy light whips as they directly struck the buildings themselves!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Ten almost continuous explosions erupted!
The ten towering skyscrapers, along with the possible teleportation devices, energy cores, and yet-to-emerge vassal army units within, were completely vaporized at the instant they came into contact with the energy light whips, due to the extreme heat and destructive energy.
In one attack, ten nodes were obliterated into ashes!
On the ground, only ten bottomless craters with glass-like edges remained, with wisps of blue smoke rising from them—Jeming even cleaned out the deep foundation.
This terrifying tactical efficiency startled other casting wizards into casting glances filled with unabashed admiration and surprise.
The leading Fifth Level Wizard looked at Jeming and clicked his tongue in wonder.
His keen eyes naturally discerned the pros and cons of Jeming’s attack style.
Although the energy light whips were immensely powerful, their speed and flexibility were notable weaknesses.
Not to mention a Fourth Level Wizard, even an experienced Third Level Wizard could easily evade given the chance to prepare.
But when it came to dealing with fixed targets and strategic warfare, this pure force-over-cunning, relentless energy barrage efficiency even surpassed that of a Fifth Level Wizard like him! 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"The flaw, perhaps, is the great strain it places on spiritual power and the consumption of that special energy pool, which seems bottomless."
Looking at Jeming, who wasted no time before swiftly downing two vials of high-level potions to replenish his spiritual power, the Fifth Level Wizard silently assessed in his heart.
"However, possessing such terrifying instantaneous destructive power more than makes up for these drawbacks. Truly a...monster-like young fellow."
He said nothing more, only recognizing him more profoundly with his gaze.
Seeing that the node-clearing method was effective, he immediately commanded the squad members to continue targeting all remaining skyscraper nodes within view, determined to uproot the enemy’s troop transportation capacity in this area!
Under the efficient and deadly cleanup of the wizard squad, the once-swarming vassal army visibly weakened, and the once-dense ranks became sparse.
Without the continuous support from the rear nodes, the effectiveness of these low-level vassal army units sharply declined.
Facing the shameless slaughter from Jeming and the other wizards, these vassal army units finally began showing signs of retreat, no longer charging fearlessly, and disorder ensued.
From the high altitude, looking down, the battlefield across the Giant Spirit Realm lit up with brilliant explosions one after the other.
Evidently, other wizard squads landing on the surface, after the initial passivity, also quickly found a countermeasure.
Just like Jeming’s squad, they began large-scale clearing of these "soldier nests" hidden in the steel jungle.
The sharp reduction in the number of ground vassal army units seemed to siphon off part of the regular army of the Giant Spirit Realm’s morale.
The fleet and mechanical army of the Giant Spirit Realm, still entangled with the wizard fodder corps in the sky and distance, began to noticeably weaken in resistance, their formations starting to loosen, gradually retreating backward.
The clamor of war gradually shifted from intense confrontation to sporadic firefights and pursuits.
"The area’s enemies have been cleared, next... let’s collect resources first; the battle is still far from over."
Seeing the last batch of retreating vassal army units before him, the Fifth Level Wizard started issuing new commands.
Jeming said nothing more; each wizard took action, capturing this last batch of vassal army units and claiming them as trophies.
Realizing that the most arduous battle of the first phase was nearing its end, the wizards began methodically switching tasks.
Temporary resource collection arrays were set on the battlefield, drawing, collecting, and categorizing anything from wreckage of the Giant Spirit Realm’s warships, fragments of mechanical giants, to the bizarre corpses of those vassal army units.
The materials and energy from this other plane would become valuable resources for the wizards in manufacturing cannon fodder for their next attack.
Jeming withdrew the Great Light Appearance, slowly landing on a charred wasteland, feeling the considerable depletion of his spiritual power and the humming of the automatic factory inside him.
He gazed at the devastated yet firmly controlled battlefield by the wizards and exhaled lightly.
The brutal, chaotic yet efficient first phase of the landing battle, accompanied by the retreat of the Giant Spirit Realm army and the wizards starting to clean the battlefield, finally came to a close.
(That’s it for today’s Chapter.)
