Old patriarch Yan stop at a Old worn down talisman shop. The shop has a closed sign on the door even though it was open. Old Yan sighed and entered without any hesitation.

He went directly to the owner who was sitting in front of the counter reading. "Old man, you are absorbed in that scroll, one wouldn’t think you’re running a business."

Old man Ling looked up startled. His hair and beard were disheveled and looked like they haven’t been groomed for years. It took a while for him to see clearly for him to see who was standing in front of him.

He finally recognised the person. "Oh... if it isn’t Master Yan, the Grandfather of Qingyang Town. What wind blew you here today?"

Master Yan chuckled at the old man, he didn’t really care about his title: "Well, it has been a while since the last time we met. Do you remember the treasure that awakened in Li Jain’s backyard weeks ago?"

Old man Ling nodded: "I sure do! How could I forget? The legendary treasure cause such a huge commotion that people still talk about it till this day. But Li Jian hasn’t figured out what to make of it yet; Why would you mention it now?"

"That’s actually the reason I came here. Look at this." He took out the pill that Li Jain give him and hands it to Old Ling.

Old Ling examined it carefully: "It doesn’t seem to be a normal pill... What kind of pill is this?"

"Exactly. It’s from the unknown treasure he got." Master Yan informed, looking serious as he continued: "It turns out that treasure was a herb, and with additional of other rare herbs, Li Jain was able to create this pill."

"That’s quite interesting, he said he was going to make it into a dish and yet, he made a pill with it. I wonder why..." Old man Ling rub his beard in puzzlement: "What’s the effect of this pill?"

"I was waiting for you to asked that. This is the legendary Spirit Root Birth Pill. I don’t know how he got the formula, but that kid was able to create the spirit roots birth pills that even high level alchemists in the capital couldn’t figure out." Master Yan said while shaking his head in amazement.

"Spirit Roots Birth Pills? I thought they were only legends. A single pill that can transform an ordinary mortal into a spirit cultivator sounds exotic." Old man Ling said as he looked at the pill carefully.

"I also thought so at first, but here is the finish product he gives us. The one in your hands is the gold root. He said that can only awakened a single spirit root but that won’t have the same strength as the natural single spirit root. Imagine if we can get 20 each for our families..." Old patriarch Yan said with full expectation, he didn’t need to finish his sentence because Old Ling understood.

"This is pretty much perfect." Old man Ling nodded with enthusiasm: "Are there any restrictions?"

"No, it can be taken by anyone at any age. Even cultivators with damage root can regenerate a new one. It’s just the process will be painful regardless."

Old man Ling laughed heartily: "Well, that is to be expected. That Li kid is not ordinary. He should be careful, if words of this gets out, I’m afraid he’s going to be in trouble."

"I told him already. He said he’ll only sell the pills to us three old men, and asked us to help him seal the news." Master Yan explained,

"He has nothing to worry about, this old man’s lips are sealed. So this is mine to try out?" Old man Ling asked as he look at the pill lovingly.

"Yes, it’s yours. But there’s another thing. Xiao Jain is running out on some ingredients and that would effect how much pills he can make for us. If you give him any amount of a hundred years old Yin-Yang Twin Ginseng, and a hundred year old Nine Petal Detox Flower, that’ll be perfect."

The smile froze at the corners of Old man Ling’s mouth: "Yea, for such a pill, the required materials are expected to be this rare. Unfortunately, I don’t have any of those with me. I’ll send words back home and I should be able to come up with a handful."

Old patriarch Yan pause, as expected, even old man Ling who can’t fix his broken down talisman shop background isn’t simple either.

"That’ll be nice. I’m going to the Joyous Restaurant to give Old Lan his own share." Old patriarch Yan waves

"Have a safe trip." Old man Ling nodded

Old patriarch Yan who was leaving suddenly stopped at the entrance and look back: "Why is the sign at your door said close while you’re open?"

"Huh, yeah I forgot about that," Old Man Ling replies, embarrassed: "I got a new talisman method I was studying and everytime someone comes in to buy, I get distracted so I put the sign up. No wonder no one has come in for a long time."

Old man Yan frowned: "If you study talismans so hard that you forget about such a minor problem, how could you be business man? Might as well stay home and study all day."

"Hey hey, I’ve had enough lecturing, be gone!" Old man Ling scolded.

Old Patriarch Yan smiled slightly: "Then I shall see you on the other side of the world."

After saying that he left. Old Man Ling sighed, shook his head. He thought about something and suddenly got up and closed the shop. He needed to send words back home as soon as possible. This matter cannot be delayed.

Li Jain return home and called for Fan Ruyin. He waited patiently for her response. She has taken an unusual interest in the Tavern lately.

Bai Lian also complained about her behaviors, but she was a guess so Li Jain let it slide. Only one thing was stopping her from leaving and he has already taken care of it. Only the finishing touch was left.

Fan Ruyin arrived not long later, her face was filled with excitement and surprise when she saw Li Jain.

"Li Jain, you call for me?!" Her eyes sparkled at the sight of him.

Li Jain has never called for her since she came here. He promised to get her level 5 Sky Splitting Eagle, and now that he called her, she has a feeling that he has already captured it.

Li Jain nodded with a slight smile: "Yeah, are you free? If so, I have the Sky Splitting Eagle come to the backyard and form a contract with it."

Fan Ruyin looked excitedly at Li Jain: "Is that true Li Jain? Are you really going to give me such a powerful beast?"

"What’s wrong, you don’t want it?" Li Jain asked puzzled. They had already discussed it, he didn’t understand what Fan Ruyin was getting so agitated about.

"Of course not, I really want it!" Fan Ruyin nodded quickly, afraid that Li Jain would misunderstand her.

After they arrived at the backyard, Li Jain set up another formation. The moment he released the Eagle from his spatial inventory, it wanted to run away but was instantly pressed down by suppressing formation.

Li Jain took a contract formation plate

from his storage ring and placed it on the ground: Another formation flared, the eagle noticed what they were about to do and screeched thrashedly around desperately struggling against the confinement.

Fan Ruyin enter the formation and but couldn’t go any further. the eagle’s aura was too strong that her energy levels were immediately restricted. She could barely breathe with the suffocating pressure.

"Sit at the core of the formation." Li Jain instructed, after Fan Ruyin sat in the right position, he continued to Instruct her: "Inject your spiritual energy into the formation. Used your blood to draw your imprint into the blood bowl. Then direct it into the eagle’s forehead."

"Okay." Fan Ruyin nodded eagerly as she does as instructed.

But the moment her imprint touched the eagle’s forehead, it suddenly surged. Even though it was injured, it was still a level 5 beast after all.

How can it let such a weak human be its master and control it?

The eagle started struggling harder, trying to shake off the restraint. Fan Ruyin cried out and was almost thrown out.

Li Jain sleeve snapped as he raised his hand. A strong pressure was released pressing down on the eagle like a mountain. The eagle fall to the floor again.

"It doesn’t want to... I don’t think this is going to work." Fan Ruyin face was pale from the pain.

"Don’t worry about it, just follow my intentions." Li Jain said and look at the eagle: "You either accept or you die. The choice are yours to make."

The eagle narrowed it’s eyes and still refused.

Li Jain sighed softly, even the beasts he encountered are stubborn. He raised his hand and took out a huge egg from his spatial inventory.

it was cover in pale blur marking, with wind essence swirling around it. The eagle entire body froze. That was it egg! How did the human find it?!

Li Jain held the egg and threw it up, the eagle’s heart nearly dropped. He repeated that a few times and the eagle was breathing heavily along with his movements.

"You either accept this contract or I’ll do you the honor of boiling this egg. My children also likes to eat boil egg."

The eagle shook its body violently. After several attempts the eagle finally accepted this contract. It let out two loud screeching sounds which were very scary.

Fan Ruyin eyes brighten and she quickly completed the contract.

"What will do with my child?" The Sky Splitting Eagle asked at the last moment.

"You don’t have to worry, I’ll raised it well and it will form a pact with one of kids, if it meets the requirements." Li Jain answered with a faint smile.

The eagle’s body relaxed after hearing the answer.
