Cultivation: I Have a Golden Talisman-Chapter 39: Madam Ye
The young woman led Fang Cheng to the Guest Welcoming Inn at the foot of Cangwu Mountain to rest and recuperate. She also presented him with a bottle of medicinal pills that could both solidify his cultivation and restore his Magical Power, saying it was a gift from her young miss.
Fang Cheng thanked her, but he could hold on no longer. He immediately went into his room, sat cross-legged, and began to regulate his Magical Power and Divine Sense.
He had expended a tremendous amount of energy in the great battle. If he didn’t regulate his internal energy flow quickly, he feared it would leave behind latent injuries.
And with that, the Ye Family’s Sword Fighting Conference came to a close.
Streaks of Profound Light rose from the Cloud Viewing Platform as everyone departed.
The name "Cyan Profound Sword Fang Cheng" quickly spread through the circles of low-level Cultivators in the Abyssal Marsh. Many Servant Disciples and Loose Cultivators now knew of his existence.
Fang Cheng cultivated in the Guest Welcoming Inn for seven days and seven nights until both his Magical Power and divine soul were fully restored to their peak.
「On the morning of the seventh day.」
A night of heavy rain had just ended.
As Fang Cheng walked out of the Guest Welcoming Inn, he was greeted by the sight of a red sun rising over the lake.
On Xiaocang Island, dozens of peaks, large and small, stretched into the distance, their green slopes looking freshly washed. They were surrounded by varying shades of dark green, and the faint sound of new waterfalls, born from the rain, could be heard.
Closer by, the grass was a lush, vibrant green, and Spirit Flowers were in full bloom. The morning sun shimmered, its light illuminating a dazzling spring scene that was a delight to behold.
Beside the Guest Welcoming Inn was an ancient peach grove. A gentle breeze suddenly swept through, carrying the last of the blossoms from the trees. They drifted slowly to the ground like a flurry of white snow and red rain, a truly beautiful sight.
He stopped before the peach grove, leisurely appreciating the beauty before him. He felt utterly refreshed.
In the distance, a beautiful young woman in a pale-yellow skirt approached, riding a beam of Profound Light. From afar, she saw Fang Cheng, now dressed in cyan robes, standing before the peach grove with his hands clasped behind his back. His handsome and distinguished air was enough to make one’s heart flutter.
She descended, dispelling her Escape Light. "Sir, you’ve finally emerged from your seclusion," she said with a light laugh.
Fang Cheng turned to face the young woman and nodded. "I haven’t had the pleasure of asking your name."
The young woman smiled, covering her mouth with her hand. "You can just call me Die’Er, Sir."
The morning breeze gently rustled, causing the soft fabric of her pale-yellow skirt to flutter and reveal the outline of her slender, well-proportioned legs.
She had been taken in by the Ye Family as a child and was considered a type of Spirit Servant. She had been lucky enough to be assigned to serve a core Disciple of the current generation, so her status among the other servants was quite high.
Fang Cheng smiled at the young woman. "Thank you for looking after me these past few days, Miss Die’Er."
Even though he had been in seclusion, he could still sense that Die’Er had come to check on him several times each day.
His gaze made her fair cheeks blush slightly. "If you want to thank someone, thank my young miss," she said softly. "She was the one who sent me."
Hearing this, Fang Cheng’s expression turned serious. "What does the Ye Family have planned next?"
Die’Er’s bright eyes darted about before she let out a little laugh. "To arrange the wedding for you and the young miss, of course," she said in a charming voice. "After winning the Sword Fighting Conference, isn’t that what you were waiting for?"
Seeing her reveal a bit of her playful, lively nature, Fang Cheng went along with it. "Your young miss... how old is she? And why is she in such a hurry to find a husband?"
A mischievous look appeared on Die’Er’s lovely face. "Don’t tell me you’re afraid my young miss is some old hag?" she asked with a grin.
She gave Fang Cheng a playful sidelong glance, her eyes shimmering. "You can relax. The young miss is a year older than me; she just turned seventeen. And her looks and figure are much better than mine."
She paused for a moment before adding, "If she weren’t so strong-willed, she never would have had that accident when she forced herself to refine a drop of Netherworld Heavy Water while cultivating the Black Water Profound Talisman Scripture... She wouldn’t be getting married this early otherwise."
After some more questioning, Fang Cheng finally understood the situation. The Ye Family’s young miss had recently failed in her attempt to refine the Netherworld Heavy Water. This allowed Profound Yin Cold Qi to invade her meridians and Qi Sea, damaging its very foundation.
The best solution was to use a Dual Cultivation Secret Method to harmonize her yin and yang, which would gradually dissolve the Profound Yin Cold Qi within her meridians and Qi Sea.
The Ye Family had originally intended to form a marriage alliance with the Dong Family, and the chosen candidate was none other than Dong Fangzhuo.
Unfortunately, Ye Yan herself couldn’t stand Dong Fangzhuo. Furthermore, some factions within the Ye Family were unwilling to let Ye Yan’s branch ally with the Dong Family, leading to numerous complications.
This matter had actually become a flashpoint for a power struggle among the various factions of the Ye Family. The Sword Fighting Conference was the result of a compromise between all sides.
Dong Fangzhuo’s defeat naturally pleased certain people within the Ye Family. In a way, it weakened the influence of Ye Yan’s branch, thereby maintaining the stability of the family’s internal power structure.
But for Ye Yan’s own branch, how could a mere Servant Disciple, regardless of his talent, possibly compare to the Dong Family, one of the four great clans?
It was a massive loss!
After listening to Die’Er’s explanation, Fang Cheng’s mind raced. He quickly analyzed the various entanglements within the Ye Family and gained a much clearer understanding of his own position.
’However... my reason for coming to the Ye Family is quite simple.’
’All I want is to obtain a Trial Talisman for an Outer Disciple of the Yinluo Sect!’
’Anything beyond that is a bonus.’
With the Love Gu at his disposal, Fang Cheng quickly grew closer to Die’Er.
As Ye Yan’s personal maid and attendant, she had another implicit identity—that of a "dowry maid" or a "newly-married maid."
The young woman was simple-minded. Ever since Fang Cheng had won the Sword Fighting Conference, she had secretly begun to imagine herself in this new role, often becoming overwhelmed with shyness.
After their conversation today, she found herself thinking that this future "master" of hers was not only handsome and perfectly built, but also witty, humorous, and elegant. He had a charming air that made her wish she could stay with him just a little longer.
Fang Cheng, for his part, had obtained a great deal of useful information from her.
Before, his knowledge of the Ye Family was limited to the fact that they were one of the four great clans affiliated with the Yinluo Sect.
He had no idea of the true power wielded by this behemoth of the Abyssal Marsh.
Today, he was finally beginning to understand. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
The Ye Family’s founding ancestor had come from the Yinluo Sect. A thousand years ago, he was a Peak Master in the sect, his cultivation having reached the Peak of the Life Talisman Realm.
Among his descendants, two others had achieved the same level of success. Together, they ensured the Ye Family’s lineage would endure for a millennium, allowing it to become the titan it was in the Cultivation Realm today.
Currently, the Ye Family had no fewer than ten experts at the Life Talisman Realm!
One of them was a True Disciple of the Yinluo Sect, a man of unfathomable power who shouldered the responsibility of ensuring the Ye Family’s continued prosperity.
Below the Life Talisman Realm, the Ye Family had an endless stream of experts with Late-stage Sensing Cultivation. Within the Yinluo Sect alone, they had a full thirteen Inner Sect Disciples.
These thirteen might not all become True Disciples, but once they broke through to the Life Talisman Realm and returned to the family, they would undoubtedly become its core pillars.
...
Die’Er didn’t leave until the sun was high in the sky.
Fang Cheng returned to the Guest Welcoming Inn. After waiting quietly for half the day, he received another visitor.
It was none other than Ye Yan’s mother, Madam Ye.
The graceful, mature beauty arrived at the Guest Welcoming Inn accompanied by Die’Er, catching Fang Cheng completely off guard.
The beautiful woman wore a Profound Gold Long Skirt. She was dignified and gorgeous, with a noble and regal air that held a hint of authority. Her figure was lush and graceful, like a perfectly ripened fruit, and her skin was snow-white and delicate. She exuded an indescribable, enchanting allure.
After Die’Er made the introduction, Fang Cheng immediately bowed. "I pay my respects to you, Madam."
