Daddy! Come Home for Dinner!-Chapter 535: Would You Just Shut Up
Zhou Junhao was being quite straightforward, not trying to hide anything.
He wasn’t whispering to his companions but spoke out in a normal voice.
"What to do, I’ve become a fan of these 10 wannabes from Changping Group."
"They’re so bold, hahaha!"
"What did you say!" Fu Jiaxu turned around abruptly, looking at Zhou Junhao displeased.
"Couldn’t hear? Should I repeat it for you?" Zhou Junhao said nonchalantly.
Ban Ziang tugged at him, that’s enough now.
Fu Jiaxu glanced over the knives they selected, then his gaze halted on Huo Jiarong’s hand.
Huo Jiarong was actually holding a Bone-cutting Knife.
The Bone-cutting Knife is large and heavy, making quite a contrast in the hands of a little girl like Huo Jiarong.
Fu Jiaxu scoffed silently, sure, the Bone-cutting Knife is big and cuts fast, but it’s no good for delicate tasks.
Really wonder what Huo Jiarong was thinking, choosing a Bone-cutting Knife.
Plus, it’s heavy and just adds unnecessary weight to the pack.
Spending six hours in the wild, you can’t underestimate that weight.
At first, you might not notice it much.
But the longer you walk, the more burdensome it becomes, more and more notable.
Fu Jiaxu weighed the multifunctional knife in his hand, admitting Ye Fei had a bit of cleverness.
However, even without reference to Ye Fei’s choice, he would eventually choose the same knife.
So, it had nothing to do with whether he looked at Ye Fei’s choice!
Moreover, most of the others also chose that type of knife.
Fu Jiaxu returned to his group, saying to Zhou Junhao, "I just picked a bit slower, how did that become copying Ye Fei?"
"So many of you picked the same knife; are you all copying Ye Fei?" Fu Jiaxu retorted sarcastically.
"We did choose the same knife type, but we all made the decision at almost the same time, unlike you." Huo Jiarong suddenly lifted her Bone-cutting Knife.
Fu Jiaxu was startled, instinctively retreating backward.
He knew Huo Jiarong wasn’t really going to hack him.
But stepping back was a subconscious reaction.
Huo Jiarong simply raised the Bone-cutting Knife and rested the blunt edge on her shoulder.
"Why are you backing away? I’m not going to hack you." Huo Jiarong chuckled sarcastically.
Fu Jiaxu’s face darkened; these people were ganging up to exclude him, just to mess with him!
Fu Jiaxu returned to the corner of the group, choosing not to speak with them.
"Everyone grab your stuff, let’s move out." An Haiyin quickly said, preventing Huo Jiarong from continuing.
Such talk of hacking, can’t be mentioned on a live broadcast.
The group was led onto the bus.
Afterward, the curtains in the bus were drawn.
The bus curtains were specially changed to be pitch-black and opaque.
Once closed, the bus interior became completely dark, invisible to the eye.
"Saying it was pitch black, not an exaggeration."
Afterward, the interior lights were turned on.
Outside was sunny, yet no light penetrated in, relying entirely on interior lighting.
Creating an illusion it was already night-time.
At this moment, staff members followed An Haiyin back up.
An Haiyin announced, "Now, our staff will distribute blindfolds to everyone. Please wear your blindfolds and do not take them off until we reach our destination."
Then the staff handed out blindfolds to everyone.
Tian Pengpo held the blindfold, saying, "If not for so many familiar faces here, I’d suspect we’re being kidnapped."
An Haiyin: "..."
What is it with Changping Academy people today!
Talking about hacking and kidnapping!
If this goes live and some departments come seeking responsibility, what then?
"Just kidding." An Haiyin said with twitching lips, "It’s to maintain the mystery of the destination."
Ban Ziang put on the blindfold, commenting, "B City might be big, but there aren’t many wilderness areas, just a few suburban mountains. Considering travel time, it shouldn’t be far either. With the narrowed range, it’s easy to guess the destination."
An Haiyin: "..."
Oh, just shut it.
After ensuring everyone had their blindfolds on.
An Haiyin declared, "Until we reach our destination, do not remove the blindfolds. The director’s vehicle is following right behind. Whatever you do on this bus, the director can observe from screens in the following vehicle. Anyone who removes their blindfold is automatically eliminated."
"I’ll be on the bus with you, so no worries." An Haiyin said, then sat at the front, instructing the driver to set off.
Fifteen contestants, each taking up a double seat alone.
Because the space in the bus was ample, there was no need to cram two to a seat.
Yet, they did not expect to immediately lose their sight once on board.
It’s like they closed off their vision.
With one of the five senses gone, time seemed impossible to estimate, and nothing around was visible.
Unaware of what others were doing, unaware of their current location.
If someone decided to make a move now, you wouldn’t know, having no choice but to sit and wait.
The inside of the bus fell into a pressure-fueled silence.
Leaving only the sound of wheels turning, the engine running, and occasional bumps.
In this silence, Xu Aoliang spoke, "Lao Tian, doesn’t our current scenario feel like a horror movie?"
"Like a killer game, or ’darkness please close your eyes.’ It’s pitch dark now, quite atmospheric. You could get killed mysteriously without knowing what hit you." Xu Aoliang said.
Tian Pengpo: "..."
"I’m not scared!" Tian Pengpo shouted.
"Never said you were." Xu Aoliang chuckled mischievously.
Luckily, Tian Pengpo was seated right in front of him.
Xu Aoliang, though blindfolded, bravely groped forward carefully.
His hands first touched the seat back in front, then his head moved closer: "Just letting you know."
Saying this, he blew a cool breeze near Tian Pengpo’s ear.
"Ah!" Tian Pengpo jumped up from his seat, shrieking.
Startling everyone on the bus.
All instinctively wanted to remove their blindfolds. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Fortunately, they remembered An Haiyin’s instructions.
Hands resting on the blindfolds, they refrained from moving.
At least they held back.
"Lao Tian, what are you doing?" Xu Aoliang laughed unapologetically.
Tian Pengpo, blushing red, returned to his seat, heart still pounding from the fright.
"You’ll pay for this!" Tian Pengpo said angrily.
Xu Aoliang leaned on Tian Pengpo’s seat back, saying, "Lao Tian, with our eyes covered, you wouldn’t know if there’s a ghost beside you, staring at you."
