Chapter 400: Chapter 400: Life Is Full of Drama Everywhere

"I’m her boyfriend," Craig Landers said, looking at Manny Knight.

He had investigated Sarah Moore and naturally recognized the man in front of him as Sarah’s boyfriend.

What a fateful encounter.

Manny Knight is still alive!

So, is he trying to get back together with Sarah Moore?

If Sarah Moore wasn’t Leia Quinn, he’d be happy to watch the drama unfold.

But now...

"Boyfriend? Sarah, you’ve actually got a new boyfriend?"

Manny couldn’t believe it as he looked at Sarah. "I came to find you, and they said you were dead. Now it seems you faked your death just to sever ties with me? Why?"

Hearing this, Sarah frowned and was about to speak when Craig suddenly pulled her into his embrace.

"Because she thinks you two aren’t a good match. It’s that simple."

Sarah: "..."

When did this man become her spokesperson?

"You’re talking nonsense! Let go; she’s my girlfriend!"

Manny looked at Craig holding Sarah with agitation and reached out to pull Craig away.

He had once been a bodyguard, and his strength was considerable.

Craig was pulled aside by him, his expression turning cold.

"Want to fight? Bring it on!"

Craig rolled up his sleeves, ready to throw hands.

"Fight then, who’s afraid of whom?"

Manny did the same, rolling up his sleeves.

Seeing the two about to start a fight in public, Sarah quickly intervened.

"Enough, both of you stop it."

Sarah handed the little bundle in her arms to Amelia Miles, asking her to look after her daughter.

Amelia gave her a look and moved back with the nanny.

Sarah took a deep breath and looked at Craig, "Mr. Landers, please don’t speak nonsense in public. We aren’t familiar with each other."

Not familiar?

This woman, could she truly be intending to be Sarah Moore and get back together with Manny?

Craig frowned, wanting to say something, but was at a loss for words.

At this point, Sarah turned to Manny once again and spoke.

"Manny, I’m sorry. I’ve been through life and death and have realized many things. My parents are old now, and my mother’s mental state isn’t good. I can’t be too selfish, only thinking about my own happiness. So, I’ve decided to break up with you because I don’t want to upset my parents anymore. I will stay in Vexia to be with them."

She wasn’t the real Sarah Moore; she could only apologize to Manny.

After saying this, Sarah gave Manny another apologetic look before turning to walk towards Amelia Miles.

"No, Sarah, wait."

In Manny’s eyes was a mix of urgency and pain as he stepped forward, trying to reach for Sarah.

Craig, quick to react, blocked Sarah and pushed Manny’s hand away.

"She made it very clear. She doesn’t want to see you again, so please don’t bother her anymore."

Sarah paused for a moment but didn’t turn back, and then quickly walked away with Amelia Miles.

Craig shielded the two of them from behind, not allowing Manny to approach.

Manny’s fists clenched tightly, making a cracking sound.

Watching Sarah walk away, he still wanted to follow her.

Then, a bodyguard came over to him with a phone.

"Young master, it’s Miss Fairchild’s call. She said that she couldn’t reach you, so she rang my phone."

Hearing this, Manny glanced at the phone, his expression complex.

He looked once more at the place where Sarah had disappeared from sight, closed his eyes, and took the phone from the bodyguard.

"Hello?"

"Manny, are you busy?"

A gentle woman’s voice came through the line.

Manny tightened his grip on the phone and asked, "Is something wrong?"

"Nothing urgent, just wanted to remind you not to forget your medication at noon."

The woman’s voice remained soft and tender, seemingly calming his restless mood.

Manny swallowed and replied, "I’ll remember."

"Alright, don’t tire yourself too much. Aunt and I will be waiting for you to come home."

The call ended, and Manny’s eyes reddened slightly.

His background wasn’t that of an ordinary person.

As a child, he became a pawn for power struggles, abducted by traffickers.

A year ago, he and Sarah went on a vacation and encountered an accident. Later, he was rescued by benevolent strangers who took him to the hospital.

At that time, he wasn’t aware of where he had been hit, lost a lot of blood, and urgently needed a transfusion.

But his blood type was rare, with only a few known cases nationwide.

As it happened, his birth mother and a woman were visiting a patient in the hospital, and upon learning of his situation, the woman donated blood to him.

Because of his unique blood type, his birth mother quickly discovered his true identity.

He had finally been reunited with his birth mother.

The girl who donated blood to him was Grace Fairchild, adopted by his birth mother since childhood to be his child bride.

Grace Fairchild was adopted because she happened to have the rare blood type, serving as his mobile blood source.

After returning, he hastily sent people to find Sarah’s whereabouts.

But the Mercer Family told him that Sarah had died.

He was heartbroken and downcast.

His birth mother had Grace by his side, helping him slowly recover from the sorrow.

Not long ago, the two got engaged.

He knew Grace was a good girl, but his true love was still Sarah.

If Sarah had died, it didn’t matter whom he married.

But now, Sarah isn’t dead!

Manny’s fingers tightened, a hint of pain passing through his eyes.

He couldn’t just break up with Sarah; he wanted to rekindle their past!

On the other side.

After shaking off Manny, Sarah saw Craig following them and stopped in her tracks.

"Mr. Landers, we’re not familiar with each other. Stop following us."

She didn’t want to get involved with either Manny or Craig.

"Alright, take your time. I’ve got other matters to attend to."

Craig nodded without insisting on following them.

He intended to get the diagnosis certificate and expose her fraud once he had it!

Craig left.

Sarah let out a long breath and shook her head at Amelia Miles.

"I actually ran into Manny— does it have to be so melodramatic?"

That man loved Sarah Moore unconditionally.

She had heard from Frost that when he was rescued, he sent people to inquire about Sarah Moore.

But the real Sarah Moore had already died, and the Mercer Family, heartbroken, beat up those Manny had sent, telling him never to appear again.

So Manny never came around anymore.

Unexpectedly, fate had them meet in Sea City a year later, mistaking her for Sarah.

Obviously, Manny saw her as Sarah Moore.

But she just happened to have Sarah Moore’s face.

"Life is full of melodrama."

Amelia kissed the little bundle’s cheek, "What now? Are you still in the mood to continue shopping?"

Sarah took the little bundle waving its tiny arms asking to be held and laughed, "We came all this way; let’s keep shopping. After all, it’s already so melodramatic; I’m not afraid of encountering more drama."

She had clarified things with Manny. Maybe he’d continue to pester her?

She’d deal with whatever came her way step by step.

"Shall we start with the jewelry counter? I haven’t bought a gift for the baby yet."

"Sure, it’s been a while since I bought gifts for my two godsons too."

The two shared a smile and headed to the jewelry section.
