DC: A New Beginning-Chapter 92: Trinity War

Only after Constantine arrived did Shazam finally explain things enough for Viktor to roughly understand the whole story.

Of course, Zatanna was not the only person on the list Shazam had received.

But when Shazam went to find Zatanna, she and Constantine were analyzing an incomplete magic message.

The sender was also someone from Batman’s chosen list: Madame Xanadu, a well-known fortune-teller in the magic world.

The message spell had some kind of encryption on it. It looked broken or incomplete... until Shazam arrived.

The lightning power in his body triggered it, and suddenly the spell became whole.

The main meaning of the message was that Madam Xanadu predicted Shazam would come visiting, but she currently had no intention of joining the Justice League.

Moreover, she warned Shazam that someone was planning to revive his old enemy in order to search for the Seven Deadly Sins, which were being temporarily sealed beneath the Rock of Eternity.

The Rock of Eternity belongs to the wizards of the Council of Eternity, and right now, Shazam is the only wizard left in that council.

The other wizards have either disappeared or died.

That means protecting the Rock of Eternity is also one of Shazam’s responsibilities.

After learning of Madam Xanadu’s prophecy, Shazam was quite shocked. He no longer had any mood to recruit heroes and immediately turned to leave.

But Zatanna was really annoyed by Constantine bothering her, so she quickly chased after Shazam and stated she was willing to join the Justice League.

In fact, Zatanna’s real reason was that she wanted to help Shazam and also use the chance to get away from Constantine.

This was because Zatanna knew that Constantine had recently owed some demons a debt and had been warned not to leave the United States.

Who would have thought Constantine wouldn’t take those so-called demon debts seriously at all?

Dr. Sivana controlled innocent passersby to carry out terrorist attacks and summoned creatures from the underworld, constantly ambushing the three to delay their time.

By the time Shazam and the others struggled to get halfway, Dr. Sivana disappeared again.

For the remaining half of the journey, Shazam was on edge the whole time.

They barely made it to Egypt, but as soon as they landed, they were trapped by some kind of kinetic-nullifying space created by Dr. Sivana.

Then, Dr. Sivana and a mysterious hooded person appeared right in front of the three, combined magic and technology to resurrect Black Adam.

The mysterious person pulled back the hood and called herself Pandora.

Pandora tricked Black Adam into believing that his resurrection had limitations, demanding that Black Adam keep the three imprisoned, and said she would release Black Adam’s restrictions afterward.

Then she and Dr. Sivana used a magic crystal to steal part of the magical power from Shazam.

Combined with the magical power voluntarily provided by Black Adam, who was under their control, the mysterious woman calling herself Pandora opened the entrance to the Rock of Eternity.

Seeing Pandora and Sivana disappear together without even caring about Black Adam, Shazam immediately started cursing at Black Adam.

After being resurrected and realizing he had been deceived, Black Adam didn’t want to get involved in this matter.

But after being cursed at by Constantine for a few sentences, Black Adam got angry.

Now, inside that kinetic-nullifying space, a bolt of lightning struck the three of them and burned them before Black Adam took them back to Kahndaq.

Moreover, Black Adam also captured Ray Palmer on the way, who had somehow quietly run to the Kahndaq for archaeology at some point.

After hearing this part, Viktor looked somewhat shocked at the quiet middle-aged man who had hardly spoken.

He really didn’t expect that this seemingly powerless, ordinary middle-aged man was actually the real Atom.

After finishing the story, Shazam looked obviously depressed.

"The Rock of Eternity has already been destroyed by Pandora. I’m afraid it’s too late for anything now."

Viktor narrowed his eyes.

Ignoring the discouraged Shazam, Viktor looked at Dr. Palmer and politely asked why he chose to come to Kahndaq for archaeology.

Ray pulled out a device that looked like a radar from his waist pack.

Ray Palmer’s expression suddenly becomes somewhat confused.

"That’s right... Why was I looking for something, and what exactly was I looking for?"

Ray pondered for a long time and looked down at the radar with doubt.

"Huh? The thing I was looking for isn’t here anymore?"

"How can you not even know what you’re looking for? Didn’t you invent this thing yourself?"

Shazam managed to muster some energy and complained about Dr. Palmer.

Dr. Palmer remained confused.

He looked helplessly at everyone present, his eyes gradually becoming cloudy, as if covered by a layer of fog.

"I didn’t invent this. This was... this was given to me by my assistant."

Viktor seemed to grasp some kind of idea.

"Rhonda Pineda?"

Dr. Palmer suddenly understood and nodded hard.

"That’s her! How do you know that name?!"

Viktor silently pulled out his phone, opened the program Cyborg helped him install, and clicked on the Atom’s profile picture.

A moment later, Ryan’s voice came through.

"Who is this? Why are you able to connect to this signal?"

Viktor pointed the phone toward Ray Palmer.

Dr. Palmer suddenly came to his senses. He rushed forward, grabbed it, and shouted into the phone.

"Ryan! There’s something wrong with Rhonda! Where is she now? You need to be careful of this woman!"

"Professor?"

Ryan, recognizing Ray Palmer’s voice, sounded somewhat confused.

"Rhonda disappeared yesterday. She really does have a problem, but Batman already warned me about her earlier."

Then, Viktor immediately hung up the phone and quickly snatched the device from Ray’s hand.

He now understood everything.

Looking at all the people involved so far... Madam Xanadu, Shazam, Pandora, and the keyword Seven Deadly Sins.

’This is the Trinity War...’

It had been changed so much that if he hadn’t learned about all the people involved, Viktor really would not have figured it out.

The butterfly effect he’s brought to this world after arriving is simply ridiculously huge.

The Flashpoint world incident was the same.

"This thing isn’t for locating objects at all. It’s for tracking that woman called Pandora. She was previously hiding in Egypt, and this thing led you there too."

They all looked at Viktor in confusion.

"How do you know?"

Viktor casually pulled out a voice modulator he secretly kept when he went to the Batcave to return the Bat-suit, and stuck it to his throat.

"Because I am Batman!"

"OK, stop bullshitting here. Pandora probably hasn’t succeeded yet. If we hurry back now, we might still make it in time."

As soon as he finished speaking, Viktor’s phone and Shazam’s emergency communicator in Rachel’s hand started beeping at the same time.

"A monster has appeared in New York City. Superman has been severely injured. I repeat, Superman has been severely injured!"
