Chapter 71: Chapter 71

Six Days Later...

Aaron followed the same routine for the next six days as he did on the first day of the week. This week was, after all, a week where he didn’t need to attend classes. The information was already available for him, and he didn’t want to waste his credits on those classes unnecessarily.

The topics were afterall beginner topics, which can be easily deduced by him and there was no need to waste the credits for that purpose.

Instead, he followed the same procedure that he had set for himself.

Eat breakfast and then go for dungeon dive in the morning, do that till noon before returning to the house.

Prepare lunch, and during its consumption, pick up a book to increase his knowledge about this world.

After lunch, he trained till night before preparing dinner for the night. After consuming dinner, it would be time for bed or some light reading before bed.

This became a normal routine for him for the next six days, with no one there to interfere.

Of course, he made sure to call and check up on his parents every day, to see if they were okay. There is a still lingering fear inside his heart regarding his parents. He was afraid that the cult might concentrate on them as they didn’t get him on the train.

If he had enough power, he could move them to near him and watch over them but that was something he lacks very much.

If he had that power, the cult might not even consider to target him without a proper purpose. No one would think to target powerful people, unless required.

Whether they belong to a cult or not, every human wants to live longer. Unless they have a screw loose in their mind, no one would willing sacrifice themselves for stupid reasons like targetting a powerhouse that can easily wipe them out with a snap.

He lacks that power. So, trying to move them at this point would make them vulnerable to attacks. It would be easier for the cult to attack them outside the city, rather than in the city.

The alliance cleaned up a lot of rats a few years back. Now, after losing a few talents, the alliance launched an operation, but that was kept secret from the civilians. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

They started to clean up the rats again, making use of the rats that they caught who tried to attack the young talents who were on their way to the academies.

Also, they wanted to keep their SS-Rank awakener safe. She was progressing very well, thanks to the resources provided by the alliance, but no matter what, there are vulnerabilities that can’t be closed.

So, the alliance decided to wipe out the ones who would think about using those vulnerabilities instead. For the next few days or weeks, the cult would be too busy fighting off the alliance to even think about these young talents, much less make moves on them or their families.

This was a secret. So, Aaron was afraid for his parents a bit, but he didn’t lament on things that he couldn’t control. Instead he made sure that he would make use of every resource available through the academy to improve himself faster.

This way, he would be strong enough to protect his family and wouldn’t need to worry about their safety.

The dungeon dives and the training brought a lot of changes in his status panel.

By levelling up for the past six days, Aaron was finally able to complete a small goal that he set out to achieve, upgrading Summon Skeleton to Rank-9.

He was happy that now he could summon more than a hundred skeletons to fight for him, but he was also disappointed to see that nothing had happened.

For sometime, he had this feeling to improve this skill to Rank-9. He was hoping that something might happen when he do so, but was left in disappointment. Nothing happened.

"Wait a minute. The number of skeletons that I can get per rank would increase for every three ranks up. Rank 7 to 9 belong to the same group where I got an +20 skeletons per rank up".

"It means whatever was supposed to happen may be that was after Rank-9. Is there Rank-10?"

"There was no such information about such in the book copies in my library".

Aaron breezed through all the books on the surface, to understand what kind of information he has and what kind of information he should be on the lookout for.

There was no mention of a rank beyond Rank-9 for skills in those books.

"Hmm, either no one has reached that stage, which I doubt. In all these years, there should have been someone who wanted to check what’s beyond Rank-9. So, my best guess should be that the information regarding that should be restricted".

"If there is a rank beyond that, there is no way I could find about that through the academy. I need to improve my power to earn that right, but I need to know what lies beyond to increase my power".

"The only solution before me is to directly increase the rank of the skill, but the question remains, how many skill points are needed to do that? If there is a rank beyond that, I will find out sooner or later. I have to wait for some time for that", Aaron thought as he decided to check upon that later.

Since there was nothing that could be done, he summoned new skeletons to increase the skeltons to 110 in the undead space before going to sleep.
