According to it, all Blood Demons in this world are born from the Sea of Blood, and those directly birthed from the body of the Endless Blood Pool are referred to as Upper-level Blood Demons.

There are a total of seventy-two Upper-level Blood Demons, ranked higher the closer they are to the core of the Endless Blood Pool, possessing absolute control over ordinary Blood Demons, with Rasputin among them.

However, it evaded details about their ranking, claiming to have forgotten them.

Chu Xiu saw through its likely deception but did not pursue the matter, instead continuing to seek information.

Rasputin stated that each Blood Demon intensely craves fresh blood, devouring all living things, and from their very birth, they define this world as apocalyptic.

"Too many terrifying beings existed in the Sea of Blood, especially deep within the birthplace of the Endless Blood Pool, a trench so deep that no light penetrates it, nurturing beings thousands of times stronger than us."

"They are the true roots of this apocalypse, the greatest calamity."

"Unfortunately, my current Level is too low to recall any information about them, only vague images flash through my mind, and even then, every memory evokes sheer dread..."

"However, if I were to level up, perhaps I could provide more valuable information to you, Venerable Lord."

Rasputin chattered, sneaking a sly glance at Chu Xiu.

Chu Xiu ignored it.

With a thought, Chu Xiu caught the wind, and the Four-winged Strange Bird swooped down, its wings generating a powerful gust to clear the cave entrance of vines.

Chu Xiu and Rasputin entered; the cave was deep, winding, and sprawling, shrinking at points to barely fist-sized.

At first, he patient navigated slowly, but eventually, he aggressively used the Frenzied Celestial Demon Hand, shattering rocks and forging a pathway.

After penetrating several miles into the mountain, a faint water sound reached Chu Xiu’s ears.

His spirit stirred, and he accelerated his excavation pace, soon revealing an underground river before him, its water wholly turned crimson, clearly close to the [pollution source].

This led Chu Xiu to smack his forehead in realization, silently chiding himself for being slow.

The polluted trees filling this landscape couldn’t have resulted from mere streams; it had to be the polluted groundwater cycle causing this, something he ought to have realized before Rasputin even pointed it out.

Almost as if on cue, as the thought emerged, Rasputin suddenly exclaimed, "Venerable Lord, I sensed a part just started moving!"

"Su Jinyu and the others must have found it," Chu Xiu rubbed his forehead.

Evidently, Su Jinyu and her team had already deduced this, locating a component without Rasputin’s guidance ahead of him.

Though unwilling to acknowledge it, Chu Xiu had to admit he wasn’t the sharpest, having felt this during the bet city trails.

"During future Ancient Trials, I’ll have to bring along someone smart to avoid scenarios requiring mental acumen to solve."

Chu Xiu pondered, quickly recovering, heading upstream along the underground river.

After a few steps, that familiar nauseating sensation hit him again.

"Seems like I’m getting close."

This marked Chu Xiu’s first encounter with Low Tier Abyssal creatures wielding weapons.
