Demon Lord: Erotic Adventure in Another World-Chapter 799: All out War!
The loud tapping of Asmodeus’s footsteps rang through the high-arched hallway as he approached the highly protected Phoenix Palace. Beside him, two royal knights followed several steps behind, their faces obscured by a black mask and helmet.
After returning, Levia increased the training of her knights, along with Velvet and Vinea, who manage the black dragon knights.
He glanced at their showy, black side capes and armoured dresses that covered down to their knees. It amused him how their chainmail skirts created a slight jingle each time they took a longer step to match his longer stride.
"Don’t force yourselves to match my pace, I won’t run away. If you learn something bad, it’ll affect your entire form as a warrior."
"..."
"!!!"
He could hear the smaller knight’s subtle gasp, then watched her in the reflection of a silver fixture as she glanced at her feet and adjusted herself.
"Good, that’s the pace that matches you."
Once he spoke, Asmodeus slowed his movements to match the knight who reminded him of an enthusiastic Erika in the past.
Memories of when Velvet trained them as heroes flashed through his mind as they came to a large double door covered in magic circles and protected by two black dragon knights in their full obsidian plate armour.
The door was at least six metres wide and three metres tall.
Enough for Asmodeus to pass through in his Demon Sovereign form.
He checked the knights and smiled.
’These girls are competing in such a funny way.’
Different from the Royal Knights, their armour was full-plate, folded and fixed together in a shape and style imitating dragon scales.
"Your Majesty!"
"Your Highness!"
Both knights saluted him as they stood aside, both wielding halberds taller than their bodies, but also wielding longswords at their waists.
"It seems Velvet’s changed her style again..." He mumbled as the seven magic circles shone in each elemental colour.
He lifted his hand as they overlapped with his palm.
A cool breeze blew his hair upward, as a churning heat spread from his abdomen to the tips of his fingertips, forming a blood-red magic circle on both sides of his hand.
"Open!"
Bzzzt!
One by one, his magic flowed into the locks, quietly solving the magic circles and unsealing them until the massive doors opened with a click.
Vwooom!
The instant the door opened, a beautifully vivid land of colours and various flowers and wildlife appeared in front of him.
"It’s like another world..." He exclaimed, almost shocked at the difference.
A wobbling translucent film separated the two worlds, keeping the wildlife safe and stopping them from flooding into the castle.
He loved this beautiful garden that led to the special training grounds where his children lived. The difference from the last time he visited a few weeks ago but the complete change was shocking.
Behind a soft voice reluctantly called out to him.
"Your Majesty... we cannot follow."
"Mm, sorry." He turned back and waved at the four knights with a brilliant smile. "Keep up the good work, my dear knights."
Asmodeus faced the soft wall and pushed his hands free.
"Kyaa, His Highness is so handsome!" Behind him, the same voice cried out, amusing him as he stepped into the vortex fully.
"Wuwu?!"
A little black fox peeked up at him; if not for the singular tail, he might have mistaken it for his daughter... Velmina.
He took a few pieces of dried meat from his storage and knelt, offering his hand. The little fox sniffed the air, then narrowed its red eyes with a snort, skittering closer to him and pushing its nose into his palm.
The fox snapped up the meat, chewing and licking his palm while cautiously observing Asmodeus as it snatched the pieces and dragged them away.
"Wuuu~~~"
It wolfed down the dried meat before several tiny babies came out of the bushes after her little growl.
"Oh, you’re a mother?"
That’s when she started letting her little pups eat the meat.
This sight somehow created a sense of calm within Asmodeus as he took a little more meat and softly placed it on the grass close to them.
He noticed the mother’s gaze and teleported behind her.
His hand brushed along her silky fur, sending his energy into her core, allowing his powers to gather in the female fox and her pups.
"I can’t stay here, my own pups are waiting. Stay strong, Mama."
She glanced up at him, as if gaining some kind of knowledge after receiving a great amount of his divine and abyssal energies.
Asmodeus stroked her twice, then teleported once again, his body ten metres away, only to hear the mother’s soft cry behind him.
"Wuu..."
He recognised it thanks to his little fox pups, but clenched his fists and waved without turning back.
’I will have to keep checking on her family...’
The path to the Phoenix Palace took close to an hour as Asmodeus travelled through the forest. He found several intelligent monsters and animals along with various fruits overflowing with mana and a healthy aura.
Picking a few of the best, he finally reached the grand castle.
"Well, it seems they’re busy."
The clash of wooden swords echoed from the courtyard, where they placed the main training field. He took a peek and found his sons and a few of the girls all clashing with each other in small duels.
Nyxielle tied her flowing black hair into a high ponytail with a cute pink clip, as she clashed with Vinea’s son, Lith, who wielded a slightly longer sword, wearing a leather jacket over his padded cloth shirt.
"Sister, please... don’t do this."
"Hmph! Watch me crush your confidence, Lith! You bad guy, beating Seris last week!"
Varian stood on the side, his deep purple hair combed back with arms crossed as he watched his sister with clenched fists. Whenever Lith spoke, he glared at his back, while gently muttering his sister’s name. "Go on, Nyxielle... you can win."
Asmodeus masked his existence, slowly approaching, before he sat beside Varian, gently stroking his spiked hair with a finger to his lip.
When noticing his father, the young boy’s eyes shone bright, the violet orbs shimmering beautifully.
"Shhh! Let’s watch your cute sister."
"Mhm!"
Erika stood between the two siblings and acted as a judge, "Are you both ready? I don’t want to see any underhanded or dangerous tricks unless you’re willing to accept the consequences of the enemy doing the same!"
"Yes~~ Erika Mama."
"Understood, Mother Erika!" Lith blushed with a higher voice.
Nyxielle took advantage of this; her lips curved, and two cute fangs peeked between her lips. "Heh, little Mama’s boy Lith." She then lowered her hips and rushed at him with a simple lunge.
"Ah Nyxielle!" Erika shouted, before shaking her head. "Forget it."
Clack!
Clack!
Clack!
Lith stepped backwards, swinging his sword multiple times to counter the rapid series of thrusts his little sister assaulted him with.
He swept to the side, avoiding her slash as he wrapped around her back, lifting his sword with both hands.
"Oh?"
Asmodeus watched Nyxielle’s lips curl as she glanced out of the corner of her eye, releasing her sword with one hand and throwing her left arm at the oncoming blade.
"GO NYX!"
"FIGHT!"
Around him, his daughters and sons all shouted to the fighting pair; most of the girls called for Nyxielle, while the boys were on Lith’s side.
Wooosh!
Lith’s eyes widened as he saw Nyxielle trying to block his powerful blow with her forearm,
"Nyx!?"
He gasped, lowering the speed and power at the last moment.
The instant it came close, a flash of darkness with arcing purple lightning burst from her wrist.
Clack!?
Thrust!
Black scales covered her forearm, creating a makeshift armour, shattering Lith’s blade as she thrust her sword into his chest from beneath his guard. Lith’s eyes widened as he stumbled back, dropping the broken blade and rubbing his wrist.
"Ouch... my wrist."
He didn’t shout, but glanced at the scales coating Nyxielle’s arms, and then smiled.
"What?! Why are you so happy? Are you a masochist?!"
Nyxielle became strange seeing his smile, she insulted him and barked like a cornered chihuahua facing a huge black hound.
However, this didn’t matter to Lith, who hugged her tight, throwing her in the air while cheering with delight. "Amazing! Sister, you finally managed to manifest your mother’s scales... of course, I am happy!"
’Good, what a good lad!’
Asmodeus didn’t mind minor feuds and little fights, but he never wanted his children to hate or become distant from each other.
With the battle over, he stepped forward, holding Varian and Seris Rae’s hand.
"Both of you fought well." He looked at the shocked Nyxielle, who immediately dropped her act, becoming coy like a kitten.
"Papa!"
"Nyxielle, you fought well. The speed of your thrusts and the agile mind to use your special abilities were impressive. But. What if his sword was real and strong enough to cut through your scales? Do you understand where you lacked thought?"
Her eyes widened, and she lowered her arms, asking for a hug, glancing at the floor.
"Y-Yes Papa... I was reckless."
Then he glanced at the elated Lith.
"Lith, you are Vinea’s son. I am sure you could have defended against that final blow. Although I commend you for protecting your little sister’s honour and smile. A man can bend, but he cannot prostrate himself for people to walk over... Sometimes, the harshest path is the most correct."
"Y-Yes, Dad!"
Lith straightened his back, standing at attention.
"Both of you, come here." He held out his arms. "I am proud of your growth so far; all of you have been working so hard."
One by one, he hugged Lith, Nyxielle, Seris, Varian, Aranya, Seraphae, Luthiel, Miris and all the children on the training field.
"Now then, how about you all try to defeat your dad!"
"EH?!"
"Papa, that’s unfair!"
"Dad is a cheater!"
The daughters of Lumina all began to cover their eyes, little pearls of water dripping down their cheeks.
"Wait... wait, Dad loses if you hit him once!"
"Heh, Dad’s too soft, he gives in so easily." Aranya wiped the fake tears from her eyes, as sharp claws grew from the exoskeleton protecting her fingertips.
With that, the brigade of children launched an all-out attack on Asmodeus.
